I try to run this code, but I am getting an error:

Can someone help me to find this missing end of line?

Why below sql statement keeps getting missing FROM clause entry for table error?
How to adjust this?
WITH SUBID AS (
SELECT * FROM "B_COLLECTION"."COLL_C_RECORD"
),
TR AS (
SELECT * FROM "B_TRACE"."PERSONAL_TC_RECORD"
)
SELECT "SUBJECT_C_ID"
FROM "B_COLLECTION"."COLL_C_RECORD"
WHERE ( SUBID.SUBJECT_ID = TR.PERSONAL_S_ID )
AND ( TR.STATE_ID ='5' OR TR.STATE_ID = 'A' OR TR.STATE_ID = 'C');
You are declaring SUBID and TR just fine, but since these are tables, your select statement does not know them yet.
Here you need to enter SUBID and TR in FROM clauses of your query. It should look somewhat like
WITH SUBID AS (
SELECT * FROM "B_COLLECTION"."COLL_C_RECORD"
) ,
TR AS (
SELECT * FROM "B_TRACE"."PERSONAL_TC_RECORD"
)
SELECT "SUBJECT_C_ID" FROM SUBID
WHERE SUBID."SUBJECT_ID" IN
(SELECT "PERSONAL_S_ID" FROM TR
WHERE TR."STATE_ID" = '5'
OR TR."STATE_ID" = 'A'
OR TR."STATE_ID" = 'C');
That is why you use WITH Clause only on repeating queries. Here it would actually be much nicier to use:
SELECT "SUBJECT_ID" FROM "B_COLLECTION"."COLL_C_RECORD" SUBID
WHERE SUBID."SUBJECT_ID" IN
(SELECT "PERSONAL_S_ID" FROM "B_TRACE"."PERSONAL_TC_RECORD" TR
WHERE TR."STATE_ID" = '5'
OR TR."STATE_ID" = 'A'
OR TR."STATE_ID" = 'C');
I would like to know how to run a different select statement based on condition in Hive SQL.
The following query does not work but throws an error.
Error while compiling statement: FAILED: ParseException line 4:2
cannot recognize input near '(' 'SELECT' '1' in expression
specification
SELECT
CASE WHEN '${UN}'!= '' THEN
(
SELECT *
from table1 t
WHERE t.yymmddval BETWEEN '${D1}' AND '${D2}'
AND t.un in ('${UN}')
)
ELSE
(
SELECT *
from table1 t
WHERE t.yymmddval BETWEEN '${D1}' AND '${D2}'
AND t.un in (
(SELECT
o.unq_num as un
FROM table2 as o
WHERE o.date >= '2017-01-01'
AND upper(o.srl_num) in ('${R}')
LIMIT 1)
)
)
END
Use UNION ALL with your queries + add conditions for switching corresponding query:
select *
from table1 t
where (t.yymmddval BETWEEN '${D1}' and '${D2}')
and t.un in ('${UN}')
and '${UN}'!= '' --switching condition
union all
select *
from table1 t
where (t.yymmddval BETWEEN '${D1}' AND '${D2}')
and t.un in
(SELECT
o.unq_num as un
FROM table2 as o
WHERE o.date >= '2017-01-01'
AND upper(o.srl_num) in ('${R}')
LIMIT 1)
and '${UN}'= '' --switching condition

Try to avoid reserved words in SQL.

Regards

It is obvious that you have inappropriate version of Sql Server. Cumulative sums with order by clause like:
SUM(antal) OVER (PARTITION BY transdate ORDER BY tekst)
are only available from Sql Server 2012+.
Actually I can reproduce those errors on Sql Server 2008:
This is on Sql Server 2012:
Notice how the error message changes.
The way you are getting data from derived table is not correct..
EX:
create table
sales
(
id int
)
insert into sales
values
(1),
(2),
(3)
derived table should always have table alias and parent table should refer using from
----this is valid
select
* from
(
select id+1 as id1
from sales
) b
--this is not valid
select
*
(select
id from sales
)b
--Above is valid when you have a subquery say
select
id,(select t1.name from table t1 where t1.id=t2.id)as custname
from table t2
coming to your question..this is not valid.I see both table types are same
select *
,
(
select b.antal
from bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave b
where b.tekst = bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave.tekst
and b.transdate = bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave.transdate
and b.åruge = bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave.åruge
and b.type = 'Normtid'
) as Normtid
from
bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave
where type = 'afholdt'
and tekst = 'fs'
--and åruge = '201501'
So you can write something like below
select *
, Antal + Normtid as Flextid
, SUM(antal) OVER (PARTITION BY transdate ORDER BY tekst)
, x = row_number() over (partition by åruge order by tekst)
from
(
select * from
(
select b.antal
from bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave b
where b.tekst = bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave.tekst
and b.transdate = bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave.transdate
and b.åruge = bi.dbo.Table_pg_FlextidsopgørelseGlUdgave.åruge
and b.type = 'Normtid'
and b.type='afholdt'
and b.tekst = 'fs'
) as Normtid
order by tekst, transdate

Error I am getting is:
Error Code: -204, SQL State: 42704
I would say that a good option here would be to use a CTE, or Common Table Expression. You can do something similar to the following:
WITH CTE_X AS(
SELECT VAL_A
,VAL_B
FROM TABLE_A)
,CTE_Y AS(
SELECT VAL_C
,VAL_B
FROM TABLE_B)
SELECT VAL_A
,VAL_B
FROM CTE_X X
JOIN CTE_Y Y
ON X.VAL_A = Y.VAL_C;
While this isn't specific to your example, it does show that CTE's create a sort of temporary "in memory" table that you can access in a subsequent query. This should allow you to issue your inner two subselects as a CTE, and then use the CTE in the "SELECT MAX( MAX_DATE - MIN_DATE ) AS NUM_CONS_DAYS" query.
You cannot reference columns from the outer select in the subselect, no more than 1 level deep anyway. If I correctly understand what you're doing, you'll probably need to join DWH.MQT_SUMMARY_WATER_READINGS and DWH.DWH_WMETER_CONTEXT in the outer select.
