How do I find out if the content of a spreadsheet-cell is used in the formula of other cells? In other words: how do I find connections with a cell?
In the "Tools" menu there is a sub menu "Detective" that you can use. See the on-line help page for more details. What you probably want to use is "Trace Dependents".

I am actively using code formatting in eclipse (right click->source->format), after that a window would pop up asking me to format the whole file or the highlighted fragment. At some point, I accidentally clicked "remember the selection" and that window never came up again.
To clarify, this is CubeIDE, based on eclipse, C/C++.

Found it. This is where the setting is:
IntelliJ tells me that I write words wrongly. That is cool. However, it does not give me any suggestions how to write them correctly, making this feature only half as useful as it could be. Can I get IntelliJ to make spelling suggestions? Working on KDE, many of my usual programs use the KDE spelling and thus are able to make suggestions...

Right Click on the misspelled word -> Spelling -> Typo: Change to...

on the misspelled word. It will display a menu like this -
On the first option, you have a sub menu which you can expand on the right but to access the spell check options, you need to select the option itself that is highlight in the screenshot above, and it will replace the context menu with another one, listing the possible spelling suggestions -
I too struggled finding this option. The menu option available (first screenshot) looks like "can be expanded only" and is not at all selectable, visibly.
We have a situation where the 'Check Out', 'Check In' and 'Save' buttons have disappeared from Admin: Pages -> Page/Design/Forms tabs. Users trying to access this all have admin rights and Settings -> Content -> Content Management -> 'Use check-in/check-out:' is checked. Content Staging/Logging is enabled (if that has any relevance). What could cause this? Thanks in advance for your help!
Try Resigning your macros, I've seen weird UI things happen because the macros messed up, including things as you described.
System -> Macros -> Signatures -> Sign all macros and "Update macro signatures"

Turning on "Use check-in/check-out" is one part of the solution. The other is putting documents under a workflow.

I was wondering, if anyone know about this kind of shortcut:
lets say I'm searching for something and get a results window with many results, is there a shortcut that can navigate me inside the list without mouse help?
In IntelliJ IDEA 11.0.2
Whenever I do a "Find in Path" using Ctrl+Shift+F and the search completes, the focus is already in the search results and the arrow keys can be used to navigate.
If the focus isn't in the search window, there can be an Alt+# combo that will take you to the window. In my setup, it is Alt+3 (the label on my "Find" tab is "3: Find", so it's easy to see that Alt-3 is the right combo.)
I suspect that I may not understand what you're looking for, but maybe it is helpful.
A feature that I used a lot in Eclipse is the Search History, which remembers searches you performed in the past and gives you quick access to them. I cannot seem to replicate this functionality in IntelliJ - it seems that I have to start a new search each time. Does this feature exist, or does anyone know of a plugin that provides such a feature?
I think what you're looking for is the "Open in new tab" checkbox at the bottom of the "Find in path" dialog. For me by default it was disabled. When you enable it, you will have search results open in separate tabs every time, so accessing historic searches will be much easier.
For recent "Find Usages", open the "Find" window (Cmd 3); click the settings button in the "Find" window toolbar; in the settings dialog check the checkbox "Open in new tab".
Inside 'Find' dock press Alt+Down to see 'Recent Find Usages' dropdown.
Search history intellij alt up or alt down.
For in-file search there is Recent Searches drop down if you press the down arrow key, the same is available for the Find in Path dialog.

Using Alt+down works to see previous Finds, but by default only 1 Tab is open.
Of course the setting for opening new Finds in a new Tab can be found in a slightly different place than when the first answer was posted. It can now be found by right-clicking the top bar (or the "Show options menu" gear-icon) -> View Options -> Open Results in New Tab.
Click on the magnifying icon in the find window and you will see it. It is not intutive. I'd expect it to list the previous searches when I click on the text box window.
