How to accept self-signed certificates when generating OpenAPI clients? - ssl

I have a rest service that is documented with OpenAPI 2.0. It is secured via a self-signed ssl-certificate, which cannot be replaced, because it is highly likely, the service will run on localhost in production.
I generate a client from the OpenAPi specification with the swagger-codegen-maven-plugin. The client seems to work, but it rejects the self-signed certificate.
The underlying http library is okhttp, which is able to accept self-signed certificates, but due to the circumstance, I need to be able to regenerate my client anytime, I cannot incorporate the necessary changes in the generated client.
How can I make okhttp accept my certificate?

Status HTTP 404: with a Spring Boot api web service developed with Intellij via remote Tomcat server

I created a spring boot initializer type web service under Intellij.
I can access my api in localhost via the ide server.
Example of api: http://localhost:8088/indicatorMissing/api/listCircuits
But when I create a war package that I deploy in a remote tomcat server, I have the window:
HTTP Status 404 – Not Found
Status Report Type
message /flagMissing/api/listCircuits
description The requested resource is not available.
Apache Tomcat/8.5.14 (Debian).
I tried the addresses:
:8080/missingflag/api/listCircuits
Where
:8080//MissingIndicator/api/listCircuits

Karate software - simple if condition is not working in 0.9.6

Using Karate Software framework, I have problem with new released version (0.9.6). I have problems with simple IF condition
* if (locate('{h6}' + appName).exists) karate.call('classpath:ui/common/applicationDeletion.feature')
This condition works properly in version 0.9.5. But with last release there is error announced when the feature is run:
evaluation (js) failed: if (locate('{h6}' + appName).exists) karate.call('classpath:ui/common/applicationDeletion.feature'), java.lang.RuntimeException: cannot find locator: {h6}stx-fat-app-tst
stack trace: com.intuit.karate.driver.Driver.locate(Driver.java:275)
==> expected: <true> but was: <false>
It seems there is some change between versions 0.9.5 and 0.9.6. I would expect that the condition is FALSE, karate call will not be executed (skipped) and following code will be followed.
Could you please give me some hint why it is not working?
Thank you!

Please read the release notes: https://github.com/intuit/karate/releases/tag/v0.9.6
So yes, the API changed.
Do this instead:
* if (exists('{h6}' + appName)) karate.call('classpath:ui/common/applicationDeletion.feature')

Cucumber setup issue in intelliJ

Environment: Windows10, Java8, IntelliJ, Cucumber
I have followed a article and tried to setup Cucumber in IntelliJ and run the feature files, however, it doesn't help
http://www.edgewords.com/2018/05/31/intellij-with-cucumber-and-selenium-webdriver-java/
I just wanted to keep it simple for the start and setup a skeleton cucumber feature and run it, but I have an error like this:
Error running 'Scenario: add to basket': com.intellij.execution.testframework.sm.SMTestRunnerConnectionUtil.createAndAttachConsole(Ljava/lang/String;Lcom/intellij/execution/process/ProcessHandler;Lcom/intellij/execution/testframework/TestConsoleProperties;Lcom/intellij/execution/runners/ExecutionEnvironment;)Lcom/intellij/execution/testframework/ui/BaseTestsOutputConsoleView;

i tried the following goal in maven mvn deploy but i got the following build fail with following error
Deployment failed: repository element was not specified in the POM inside distributionManagement element or in -DaltDeploymentRepository=id::layout::url parameter -> [Help 1]
after doing some googling i added the following entry to my pom.xml
<distributionManagement>
<repository>
<id>myRepoId</id>
<name>myCompanyReporsitory</name>
<!-- <url>scp://nothing/</url>
<url>${user.home}/m2/repository</url> -->
</repository>
</distributionManagement>
but i am not sure what should be the URL since using ${user.home}/m2/repository gave another error with build failure
Failed to deploy artifacts/metadata: No connector available to access repository myRepoId (C:\Users\admin/m2/repository) of type default using the available factories WagonRepositoryConnectorFactory -> [Help 1]
How to solve the problem?
The mvn deploy tries to send the result of the package goal to the url of repository described in your POM.
I aims not at deploying a Web application on its server but to share the library produced with other.
If what you need is to deploy you webapp, then the tomcat plugin is a solution.
BTW: The connector issue when trying to deploy is due to the fact that to enable SCP you need to add the wagon-scp connector.
