I did not find any information available online on how to record a meeting(audio or video) scheduled using skype for business online (skype web sdk).
All I see is information only on skype for business onpremises which full clients to record and store meeting in local storage.
It will be very grateful if someone can provide references on recording audio/video using skype for business - online.

Skype for business online does not support recording as of now.

Now Skype for Business Online Plan 2 supports Audio and Video Recordings. You can find the detailed feature comparision here
After a lot of research, i have decided to use Skype Media bot along with Skype Web SDK to record audio and video conversations.
Create a Skype Media Bot and add Skype for Business as channel.
Register this bot with Skype for Business online ( Only Tenant Administrator can do that)
Make sure in each conference, this Skype Bot is also invited by default. So this bot is a participant in each conference call. It records audio and video.
Skype Bot has simple interface to Record, Respond, Convert audio to text and many more features.

Google Play has Newsstand application (not available everywhere) - https://play.google.com/store/newsstand. It replaces older Currents application. It displays news/articles from many different websites/magazines/feeds.
Does any, official or unofficial, API exist, that would let me use those sources in my own application?
As far as official APIs go, unfortunately Google doesn't provide anything if their API Explorer is any indication. Google News used to have an API, but it was deprecated in 2011.
The closest thing to what I think you're looking for, assuming you want to stick with Google, would be the RSS output from Google News. You can pass an optional query parameter to search for specific topics. For example:
https://news.google.com/news?q=obama&output=rss
If you're looking for a similar service to Play Newsstand that offers an API, check out these:
Some individual sources offer APIs, such as the NYTimes and USA Today
Feedly has a nice-looking API, although I have never used it personally.
Good luck with your search!

Actually, I've setup my outlook.com account on MS Outlook. I wanted my tasks to be shown on my Windows Phone 7.8 device by categories. Tasks are synced with the WP device but as you know there are no categories!
I didn’t find any appropriate way to have my outlook.com task categories on my WP device. So I decided to implement a simple mobile webpage that retrieve my tasks from outlook.com calendar and display them by categories. This way I can have my tasks ordered by categories on my mobile devices.
How can I retrieve my tasks from outlook.com calendar? Is there any API?
The is an API, however, you have to join the development program which costs $49.
Here's the documentation: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/live/hh826523.aspx#cal_cs
Outlook.com does not support programmatic access to tasks at this point.
The unified O365 and Outlook.com APIs were announced on August 12 2015. See http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2015/08/12/unified-outlook-apis-for-office-365-amp-outlook-com-are-here.aspx .
Full API specs are available at https://dev.outlook.com/ . As of this writing you will find APIs for Mail, Calendar, Contact, Notifications, and Photos.
I know this isn't satisfactory.
The best place to give feedback would be at http://appsforoutlook.uservoice.com/forums/284422-other .

My current project requires us to receive text messages online. It's hard to wade through the search results as many of the are just websites with about 10 numbers for everyone to use.
I am looking for services along the lines of what is being offered at http://www.tropo.com
You can send and receive text messages online on your own private generated phone number within the US or Canada.
Preferably free, just need a few more before I make any decisions
Thanks!
Disclaimer, I do developer evangelism part time at Nexmo.
Here are a few paid SMS APIs:
Nexmo
Twilio
Tropo
You may be able to hack something together that works for free, but you risk that solution being disabled by whatever provider you use (for example, some people send SMS via Google Voice, but I wouldn't recommend relying on that).
Since you're receiving SMS, Nexmo would be a good solution when it comes to price. You only pay for the virtual number (roughly $1 a month), and all incoming messages are free.
Try www.twilio.com they have a good API and it is free while testing.

I have an app and would like to know if there is any kind of API for a service similar to Shazam where I can hold my phone up to a music source and be told of the song guess? It could work well with my app, but I can't find anything about Shazam API and I don't know any other service that does what I want (but am open to anything)
The free and open source alternative is Echo Nest / Echo Print. They claim to have a database of 30 million songs and 1.5 million artists, and they provide free access for both commercial and non-commercial use. Probably worth checking out!
Update: here's the Echo Nest iOS library
ACRCloud supports Music/Audio search engine and SDK for iOS/Android/Linux, which could be downloaded after registration (http://console.acrcloud.com/signup).
There are three tiers:
Free tier, for demo/prototyping
Accelerating tier, for startups
Commercial tier
Audio recognition services are provided by a number of companies, many of which license these services for a fee. None are cheap, requiring significant repositories of signatures / music catalogs and computational capacity. Check out the folks who own the technology used by Shazam - Landmark Digital Services, the makers of Soundhound - Midomi, or Gracenote's MusicID. There are others, but these are probably three of the biggest players currently.
UPDATE (11/8/12): To note, Shazam apparently has reacquired the rights to the recognition technology and Landmark Digital is now defunct. Also, as noted in another answer, Echonest now provides a recognition technology, Echoprint, that for some uses appears to be free.

I've spent the last hour searching for an official Google Voice API documentation but couldn't find anything but a bunch of API wrappers in (insert your favorite programming language here).
Does a documentation for Google Voice's API not exist?
If you're okay with JavaScript you can take a look at their chrome extension, it gives you good idea on how to hack something together. For instance I've found this: http://google.com/voice/request/messages it gives you a list of messages in JSON
http://google.com/voice/request/user gives you your contacts and your GV number
I don't believe Google has officially published an API yet.
You might want to refer to this post:
Is there a Google Voice API?
unofficial, but has instructions for various languages and how to do some straight http requests:
http://www.googlevoice.org/ (Web archive)
It's time to migrate off Google Voice for applications. On May 14, 2014, Google will break the old interface.

Google seems to be pushing Twilio as an alternative. Twilio will be available from AppEngine.
