Apache Axis Error - No Engine Configuration File - apache

We have an application running on WebSphere 6.1 and every couple of days we get the following appearing in the logs:
org.apache.axis.ConfigurationException: No engine configuration file - aborting!
at org.apache.axis.configuration.FileProvider.configureEngine(FileProvider.java:175)
at org.apache.axis.AxisEngine.init(AxisEngine.java:172)
at org.apache.axis.AxisEngine.(AxisEngine.java:156)
at org.apache.axis.client.AxisClient.(AxisClient.java:52)
at org.apache.axis.client.Service.getAxisClient(Service.java:103)
at org.apache.axis.client.Service.(Service.java:112)
If we restart the JVMs we are fine for about 2-3 days before it kicks off again.
I have seen another question on this site which describes a similar issue and the answer for that was:
I solved this by copying the client_config.wsdd file to WEB-INF/classes folder. Axis did not complaint yet :)
However, as far as we know we don't have a specific client_config.wsdd file nor have we ever had to configure one. If something was missing we would always get this error but as I mentioned above it only happens every few days and a stop start of the JVMs resolves it for a bit.

Rpi4 and Ejabberd external registration

Some friends and I want to leave WhatsApp for good and as I've been playing around with my Rpi4 for years now, I thought I'd use that to set up an XMPP-Server for us to use, to have a secure and customizable experience.
I've tried it with ejabberd and installed it from the repo. I also tried to compile the newest version, but I get an error output every time.
It works fine so far, but it differs from what I've seen online.
My problem is, that registration from outside doesn't work at all. I can register from ejabberdctl, but that's it. On the tested clients it says "server doesn't allow registration", although I have enabled everything that says anything about registration allowance.
System: Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB)
OS: TwisterOS 1.9.6 (Based on Raspbian 32bit)
Ejabberd Version: 18.12.1-2
Config files:
Ejabberd.yml https://textuploader.com/18mqx
Ejabberdctl.cfg https://textuploader.com/18mqz
When the "mod_register" line is enabled/uncommented (or any other not by default enabled mod), ejabberdctl live gives following output: [error] Cannot load /etc/ejabberd/ejabberd.yml: Syntax error on line 272 at position 2: did not find expected key
I am very thankful for any help, whether it's getting my current version to allow registration or compiling the current version which seems easier to work with, as all of the solutions I've seen on the internet won't work with my version.
Kind Regards,
Arokan
I figured it out. You won't believe it...
The prewritten spaces in
" ## mod_register: "
seem to not have been spaces but something else, though they weren't wide as tabs but exactly as spaces.
So I deleted the spaces before mod_register: and hammered the space key myself. After that, everything worked out perfectly and other modules do as well in the same way.
tl;dr: Replace the pseudo spaces with own spaces.

ColdFusion 2018 - Requests Multiply Executed

with a new project we encountered some strange behaviour on our ColdFusion application.
Whenever a single request is initiated from the browser, the code of the cfml-templates is
executed multiple times. Upon viewing the corresponding log-files we found out, that indeed
for some reason the same request fires the evaluation in our application multiple times. One request
generates several entries. This is especially the case for long-running requests, such as database imports.
The ColdFusion application implements a REST-service, but even on manually requesting a resource,
such as a certain cfml page, on the same application - the code gets executed an unknown amount of times(variable initializations, database write-operations etc. take place), and if the request runs too long (cap at around ~4-6 seconds) there is no response to the browser.
About the infrastructure:
The application is Coldfusion18 with Tomcat Standard Edition
The webserver is an Apache (2.4.6).
Everything runs on a Linux machine with Cent OS 7.7
The corresponding Java version is 11.0.4
Our best guess is that there might be some misscommunication between the coldfusion connector with
the apache webserver. We actually searched for some configuration parameters that could cause the
problem, without success. Upon an installation on a windows machine we did not encounter that error.
Anyone got any idea?

Unable to add apache Nifi in ambari?

I am trying to add Apache Nifi in ambari but continuously failing with error Error occured during stack advisor command invocation:
Unable to delete directory /var/run/ambari-server/stack-recommendations/1.
There is a similar thread with the same error in hortonworks community, I have tried everything mentioned in that thread but unable to fix it. My sandbox is installed in vmware workstation 12 player. I also tried to create and remove directory manually but it is failing with the error invalid argument. Created a thread for this error also on stackexchange. Please help!!!
Here is a link to Hortonworks forum thread. And it seems like sandbox is just broken:
This is due to a docker issue in this 2.5 sandbox build. It will be
fixed in next revision of the sandbox.
There are also some workarounds described (like use older HDP 2.4 or establishing own cluser based on the HDP 2.5 docker image)
Updated sandbox arrived: http://hortonworks.com/downloads
Trust me, active member of community see your posts in multiple locations. In a good, no Big Brother ways :) but cross-posting is an old as world ... Well, you got it.
Did you see a notice for this service in Ambari? Telling it's been deprecated? Same note in the github. There's a good reason for that, it's now been implemented properly by the dev team and with many more features. I.e. all the action is there now.
I think I replied a similar question, though not sure it was yours, take a look in HCC.

Why does JavaBridge work but JavaBridgeTemplate621 not

I am trying to install a PHP Java Bridge as per the instructions on http://php-java-bridge.sourceforge.net/pjb/index.php on Windows 7
I have PHP working fine on via IIS installed at c:\php
I copied the JavaBridge.war to c:\php which proved to get a good result from the test (running from c:\php)
java -classpath JavaBridge.war TestInstallation
I installed Tomcat 7 and copied the JavaBridge.war to webapps, which the service extract automatically and I am able to get the expected result from
http://localhost:8080/JavaBridge/
All Ok Great!
However when I do the same with the JavaBrigdeTemplate621.war, the browser
http://localhost:8080/JavaBridgeTemplate621/
returns an error
HTTP Status 500 - php.java.bridge.http.FCGIConnectException: Could not connect to server
I have not included the whole page as its very verbose, but the last root cause entry is
root cause
java.io.IOException: PHP not found. Please install php-cgi. PHP test command was: [php-cgi, -v]
php.java.bridge.Util$Process.start(Util.java:1145)
php.java.servlet.fastcgi.FCGIProcess.start(FCGIProcess.java:68)
php.java.bridge.http.NPChannelFactory.doBind(NPChannelFactory.java:94)
php.java.bridge.http.FCGIConnectionFactory.runFcgi(FCGIConnectionFactory.java:88)
php.java.bridge.http.FCGIConnectionFactory$1.run(FCGIConnectionFactory.java:109)
I've tried restarting IIS as well as Tomcat several times
What am I missing (It's Hot and it's Friday ....)
I notice that
\webapps\JavaBridgeTemplate621\WEB-INF\cgi\x86-windows
has a text file called php-cgi.exe.MISSING.README.txt
where as
\webapps\JavaBridge\WEB-INF\cgi\x86-windows
has php-cgi.exe, php5ts.dll and php.ini
Is there another manual step required to get those in there not documented in the instructions?
Not reading the instructions clearly enough. I missed that you should copy the automatically created folder (from war) into the IIS web apps folder. I was trying use Tomcat as the HTTP server instead of IIS. Once I copied them to IIS and accessed via default port 80 (not 8080) it worked fine.
Hope my conversation with myself is of benefit to someone else

Embedded ApacheDS 2.0.0-M16 (on 2nd run only): ERR_250_ENTRY_ALREADY_EXISTS ou=system already exists

Using this example as base, my embedded ApacheDS server runs fine the first time, then, when I stop the JBoss server on which my app runs and start again, and re-deploy, the log returns a load of errors starting with:
'(ERROR [stderr] (MSC service thread 1-1) org.apache.directory.api.ldap.model.exception.LdapEntryAlreadyExistsException: ERR_250_ENTRY_ALREADY_EXISTS ou=system already exists!)'
followed by others that have been accurately identified in this Apache JIRA issue
Every time I stop and start JBoss thereafter, the ApacheDS server starts just fine (same as in the JIRA issue)
The JIRA page states that the issue has been fixed with a little workaround, which I have applied
public EmbeddedADSVerTrunkV2(final File workDir) throws Exception
{
if (!workDir.exists())
{
workDir.mkdirs();
this.initDirectoryService(workDir);
this.service.shutdown();
}
this.initDirectoryService(workDir);
}
but the problem remains for me. The second run always fails before succeeding on the third and subsequent runs.
Are there any new workarounds or fixes that I have missed? Many thanks!
This issue was already fixed, please verify if you have the correct version of the jar file(s).
