Enable icons in listpicker - xaml

I'm having a problem with the listpicker (SelectionMode="Multiple"!!!). When i go to fullmode it doesnt show "done", "cancel" icons like if the images were not in my project.
<toolkit:ListPicker Grid.Row="11" Grid.Column="2" Name="ListPickerAu" Header="" FullModeHeader="Authority Assessment"
SelectionMode="Multiple" FontSize="21" Background="White" Foreground="Black" Margin="10,12,-157,12" >
<sys:String>Order</sys:String>
<sys:String>Distribute</sys:String>
<sys:String>Price</sys:String>
<sys:String>Merchandise</sys:String>
</toolkit:ListPicker>
How can I enable that buttons?

Do you have Toolkit.Content folder in your project? That's where these icons should be. Did you use NuGet to include Toolkit into you project or downloaded it manually?

Common ToolBar in UWP c++

I am attempting to make a multipage app and would like to use a common navigation toolbar across all pages. The page includes:
<Page.TopAppBar>
<AppBar >
<StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<Button />
</StackPanel>
</AppBar>
</Page.TopAppBar>
In App.xaml I can define the AppBar that goes into the Page.TopAppBar:
<Application.Resources>
<AppBar x:Key="CommonAppBar" x:Name="AppBarCommon">
<StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<Button />
</StackPanel>
</AppBar>
</Application.Resources>
But how can I use this AppBar defination in the Page xaml?
You can use the Frame control on one page and show another your pages inside that frame. Then you can add an AppBar to this page.
By the way, the AppBarButton is the button that is used inside an AppBar, not StackPanel and Buttons (your approach will still work, but if you expect the same behaviour and look as in other UWP apps, it's easier to use AppBarButtons).

Horizontal context menu with icons Windows phone 8

I am trying to add a context menu which shows menu items horizontally. My sample code:
<toolkit:ContextMenuService.ContextMenu>
<toolkit:ContextMenu>
<StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal">
<toolkit:MenuItem Tap="CallMenuItem_tapped">
<toolkit:MenuItem.Header>
<Image Height="50"
Stretch="Uniform"
Source="Assets/icon1.png" />
</toolkit:MenuItem.Header>
</toolkit:MenuItem>
<toolkit:MenuItem Tap="ChatMenuItem_tapped">
<toolkit:MenuItem.Header>
<Image Height="50"
Stretch="Uniform"
Source="Assets/icon2.png" />
</toolkit:MenuItem.Header>
</toolkit:MenuItem>
<toolkit:MenuItem Tap="OtherMenuItem_tapped">
<toolkit:MenuItem.Header>
<Image Height="50"
Stretch="Uniform"
Source="Assets/icon3.png" />
</toolkit:MenuItem.Header>
</toolkit:MenuItem>
</StackPanel>
</toolkit:ContextMenu>
</toolkit:ContextMenuService.ContextMenu>
I am facing some problems. First of all when I tap a menu item the specific event is called but the menu remains open. As I am showing all the menu items in one line(horizontally), I am unable to fix the height and width of context menu. Is there a better way to add a horizontal context menu using icons?
I would suggest you to use the ItemsPanel property to set the layout as horizontal stack panel. And if you still face any issues then you can manually close the context menu using the IsOpen property. Hope this helps you.

Dropping control from toolbox replaces previous code

I have a strange problem with XAML code in Windows Phone 8.1 SL application. I have created a pivot page. So I have something like that:
<!--LayoutRoot is the root grid where all page content is placed-->
<Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="Transparent">
<phone:Pivot Title="MYAPP">
<!--Pivot item one-->
<phone:PivotItem x:Name="pivotPaliwo" Header="Alcohol" />
<!--Pivot item two-->
<phone:PivotItem Header="Cigarette"/>
</phone:Pivot>
</Grid>
When I drag and drop e.g. a button it creates this code:
<Button Content="Button" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="108,192,0,0" VerticalAlignment="Top"/>
So it is ok. BUT, when I try to add another button (it doesn't matter what control is it) it REPLACES that code for a new one.
I can't add more that one control by dropping from toolbox. Why is that so?

Windows 8 Store App Sliding Panel

I am working on a Windows 8 Store App. I want to use sliding panel for my application such as facebook mobile application leftside menu or rightside friends list. What am i want to do ? When i click to button panel should open left 0 to right side about 300px but i didn't find any solution for this. Can you help me for this ? Thx inadvance.
I SOLVED
Actually, I don't want to work with scrollview i want to show a setting pane. I solved my problem with using settingflyout. So, you can use basicly in your project. Add new item >> add settingflyout. But thx for your answer.
<ScrollViewer
x:Name="HorizontalScrollViewer"
VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto"
VerticalScrollMode="Disabled"
ZoomMode="Disabled"
HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Auto"
HorizontalScrollMode="Auto"
HorizontalSnapPointsAlignment="Near"
HorizontalSnapPointsType="Mandatory">
<StackPanel
Orientation="Horizontal">
<Grid
x:Name="LeftPanel">
...
</Grid>
<Grid
x:Name="CenterPanel">
<ListView .../>
</Grid>
<Grid
x:Name="RightPanel">
...
</Grid>
</StackPanel>
</ScrollViewer>

Button with image and stackpanel with text misses the mouse click event in Windows Store App?

In my Windows Store App I use a button which has a star shape with some text. I use the following XAML code for the button:
<Button Name="goButton" BorderThickness="0" FontWeight="Bold" HorizontalAlignment="Right" VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="0,-91,33,0" FontSize="25" IsEnabled="True" Click="goButton_Click" >
<Grid Width="227" Height="222">
<Image Source="Assets/redstar.png" />
<StackPanel Orientation="Vertical" Margin="77">
<TextBlock TextAlignment="Center" Text="Tag"></TextBlock>
<TextBlock TextAlignment="Center" Text="ist um!"></TextBlock>
</StackPanel>
</Grid>
</Button>
This is what is the button looks like:
Unfortunately it often happens that clicks in the area of the star are not recognized, e.g. the event handler is not startet. I suppose that it has something to do with the image, for it works fine if I remove the image from the grid. But this doesn't solve my problem.
Any suggestions?
Don't see anything wrong off the top. You could try a couple of things:
Instead of click, try the Tapped event for the button.
Try tapped on the container Grid.
Get rid of the Grid & put all button content in a StackPanel & then try tapped/clicked on it.
Go with patterns like MVVM & associate your button with a Command.
Hope these help!
