Phalcon invalid document error - phalcon

I have a Phalcon\Mvc\Collection model called User. When I try to get a user by their email like this
User::findFirst(array("conditions" => array("email" => $email)));
I get two different results. If the variable $email contains an email present in the database, I get a result as expected. However, if the variable $email does NOT contain an email that is present in the database, I get an "Invalid document" message.
Phalcon version 0.8.0. It also does seem to hold true with version 0.7.0.
Thank you for your time and help.

How to get user from User field LookupId

I have a list in sharepoint online.
And in this list, i have a person field.
When i call the API endpoint to get all the items in the list, i get an LookupId value for the person field.
I tried to get the user by using the value of the lookupid, but it don't work because the id is not recognized.
The lookupid is a int (eg: 21) instead of a guid.
Is there something missing in the configuration of the person field or in my calls to Microsoft Graph API ?
When a user signs into a SharePoint site collection for the first time, a ListItem is created in a hidden User Information List. The LookupId in a PersonOrGroup field refers to the ListItem in this list. The URL for the User Information List for SharePoint Online should be:
https://{yourTenant}.sharepoint.com/{yourSiteCollection}/_catalogs/users/detail.aspx
Since the User Information List is a generic SharePoint list, you can query the list via Graph. First, get the list id for the User Information List. An easy way to get the list id is to view the source for the User Information Site via Chrome and search for 'listId'. You should find a result like this:
"listId":"{yourListIdIsHere}"
Copy the id. By using the copied id, the id of your root site and the LookupId, you can get the ListItem in the User Information List:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/{siteId}/lists/{pasteCopiedListId}/items/{lookUpId}?$expand=Fields
The ListItem contains information about the user, such as the email, which can be used to identify the Azure user:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/users/{eMail}
Question: How could i get the hidden User Information List from Microsoft Graph?
If you do not want to use the 'trick' with Google Chrome to get the id, there is another way to get the site. Typically, if you want to get the id for any site, you would call:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/{siteId}/lists
However, you will not find the id of the User Information List, even if you include hidden sites. I do not know why. An additional problem seems to be, that you cannot filter lists by their name:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/{siteId}/lists?$filter=name eq 'users'
The query returns an error, that the provided filter statement is not supported. The only way to get the list without knowing the id seems to by using the property displayName of the list. However, the displayName is based on your localization. So, since I am from Germany, I can get the site by using the query:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/{siteId}/lists?$filter=displayName eq 'Benutzerinformationsliste'
You will need to replace Benutzerinformationsliste with your localized name. For EN replace it with 'User Information List'.
This returns the expected result:
{
"#odata.context": "https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/$metadata#sites('xxx')/lists(id,name,displayName)",
"value": [
{
"#odata.etag": "\"xxx\"",
"id": "xxx",
"name": "users",
"displayName": "Benutzerinformationsliste"
}
]
}
As you can see, the name of the list is 'users', so why the first filter statement does not work is a little mystery to me. Maybe someone here knows and can help out.
Some of the queries above don't work at the moment.
What I finally found as a good solution - after trying many many queries - is that you can do this by following the few steps below:
1- Get the GUID of the user information list.
Using the title of the list "User Information List" or the name "users" in the parameter "$filter" does not work.
Don't forget 'system' among the properties you select if you want to retrieve the hidden system-lists.
GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites('{site_id}')/lists?select=id,name,system
2- Filter the previous result in order to pick up the ID of the targeted list named 'users'.
By the way, applying this restriction "$filter=name eq 'users'" does not work.
You will get an exception. So you must do the filtering part by writing a few lines of code.
3- Once you've got the list identifier, then select all the items you want. And voilĂ ! The word 'Fields' must be in pascal case (uppercase the first letter ).
GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites('{site_id}')/lists('users_list_id')/items?$select=Fields&$expand=Fields
As #QuestionsPS1991 mentioned, the people field in fact refers to the hidden user list. With the lookupid, we can get the user via below methods:
Get user by id
Get user property by expanding lookup field
//////////// updated
By default, MS Graph does not return this user list. You may hard code the list id or follow ##QuestionsPS1991 suggestion. Below is my test:

Problems adding items with contact references when authenticated as an app

I'm trying to add an Item, where one of the fields is of type contact (user), to Podio.
I do not have the contact profile_id, only the name, so I need to search the contact to get the profile_id before adding.
The problem is that the /contact/ resources are inaccessible since I'm using app authentication.
The error is: "Authentication as app is not allowed for this method"
What is the recommended way to do this?
Thanks.
As I can see, the tricky part here is that you have just a name of the user. So you need to search this name first.
To be able to search you should be authenticated not as an app, but as a user with appropriate rights. I believe this is because search functions a rate-limited per user. You may authenticate on client side, server side or just by entering user's email and password (see documentation here).
Then, when authenticated, just use search functions with the parameter "ref_type": "profile" to look for the user name within space, organisation or globally. Example for PHP-client:
$attributes = array(
"query" => "John Doe",
"ref_type" => "profile"
);
$results = PodioSearchResult::space( $space_id, $attributes ); // search in space
$results = PodioSearchResult::org( $org_id, $attributes ); // search in organisation
$results = PodioSearchResult::search( $attributes ); // search globally
Functions above will return an array of the most relative results found. There you can get a user id and other user info.
Note that technically several different users may have the same name, so there might be more that one result found. It will be up to you to choose one of them somehow.

Get value from customer_entity_varchar - Magento

I created a customer attribute in backend magento, but I want to show this attribute to the user so that he can alter its value in the frontend. My input field is being displayed in the frontend, but the value is not there. I am not able to get this value. I found that the value that I need to display is in the apscustomer_entity_varchar table and the column is called 'value'. How can I get that value from that table? I was trying this:
$collection = Mage::getModel('eav/entity_attribute')->getCollection();
foreach ($collection as $data) {
return $data;
}
but it was not working, so I used SQL code and it worked. However I know that's not a nice way to do that in Magento. What I did was something like:
$connection = Mage::getSingleton('core/resource')->getConnection('core_read');
$sql = "SELECT * FROM `apscustomer_entity_varchar ` WHERE `entity_id`='$id'";
$rows = $connection->fetchAll($sql);
How can I get the value column from my apscustomer_entity_varchar table in the magento way, using the getModel?
You need to retrieve the customer of the session and then you can get the attribute you want :
Mage::getSingleton('customer/session')->getData('attributeName');
Mage::getSingleton('customer/session')->getAttributeName(); //Magic getter
Where attributeName is the name of the attribute you want to get the value.
I found out how to do that :D
It's actually very simple. Even if this is a custom customer attribute (created in Magento admin panel), I need to get the attribute not using the 'eav/entity_attribute' model, but using the 'customer/customer' model. So I just need to do that:
$customer_data = Mage::getModel('customer/customer')->load($customer_id)->getData();
echo $customer_data['attributeThatYouWant'];
If you are not sure what is the name of your attribute you can look at Magento Admin Panel under Customer/Manage-Attributes, or you can use that after getting the model:
var_dump($customer_data);
Now you are able to get the name of all customer attributes.

Laravel 4 authentication not working

I have a Laravel 4 app in which I have set up one user. In my login route I'm calling Auth::attempt with the email and password but it always comes back as false. I definitely have the password correct and the correct hash in the database as Hash::check returns true.
I think it may be due to using email as the login field instead of username, but I can't see any setting for that. This question implied you could add an option to config/auth.php but it didn't work. This question says to use username as the array key, but then I get SQL error because it tries to select on a username field in the database.
Do I need to add something to the User model to specify the username field? Here is my login route:
Route::post('login', function() {
// data from login form
$credentials = array(
'email' => Input::get('email'),
'password' => Input::get('password')
);
$auth = Hash::check(Input::get('password'), Hash::make('mypass'));
var_dump($auth); // this is TRUE
// login was good
$auth = Auth::attempt($credentials);
var_dump($auth); // this is FALSE
});
I found the problem. As suggested by Jason in the comment above, I had modified the models/User.php file and removed some functions that I didn't realise were necessary.
The getAuthIdentifier() and getAuthPassword() methods must be included in the User model for authentication!
In app/config/app.php make sure you have the 'key' set. This made me pull my hair out. Everything will apear to work, password seems hashed in the DB, but it will always return false until you set this key and re-hash your password into the DB.
"php artisan key:generate"
Had the same problem and made me sweat for hours. Definitively check your User.php model and make sure you have not overwritten the default one. Thanks Jason!

Insert data from DB to URL manager

I want URL manager to process URL with the company name with my CompanyController. To do so dynamically I should get company names from my database.
Now I have such rule (but it's not dynamic):
'<alias:(vector|karnasch|tecnomagnete|ruko|bds-maschinen|exact)>' => 'company/view',
(vector|karnasch|tecnomagnete|ruko|bds-maschinen|exact) --> data to this line I want to get from database.
I can get this data (manually establish connection to db), but maybe it's another more beautiful solution with help of Yii functional. Thanks!
You can always create your custom UrlRuleclass. If you only want to parse incoming URLs you can simply return false from the createUrl() method. In the parseUrl() method you query the DB for your company names and inspect if the current URL matches. If not, you simply return false again.
Well, you don't need to do this, you just have to define the right pattern, e.g. :
'contact' => 'contact/form',
// other rules should be set before this one
'<alias:[-\w]+>' => 'company/view',
