I tried to install JProfiler integrated with IntelliJ 10 on MacOS. The installer tries to locate a 'IntelliJ configuration folder' which I dont have and I dont know how to create.
Any assistance or hints would be fantastic.
See the corresponding IntelliJ IDEA FAQ article.

I'm on a windows 10 64 bit box. I need to open the terminal inside intellij 2017.1. According to google the key command for this is alt-F12 but that combination of keystrokes does nothing apparent for me.
Is there an alternative way to open the console inside intellij that I might be overlooking?
Thanks!
It has clearly explained in the documentation provided by the JetBrains.
To find the terminal related details please use the following link.
IntelliJ IDEA Terminal
If you want to configure the key bindings please refer the following
link.
IntelliJ IDEA Keyboard Shortcuts
That shortcut is correct, to run embedded local terminal press Alt + F12. But you should make sure that the Terminal plugin is enabled. The plugin is bundled with IntelliJ IDEA and is activated by default, if it is not the case, you can enable it, go to Settings > Preferences > Plugins
I have installed JetBrains IntelliJ 2016.2.3 and am in the process of installing HP UFT LeanFT runtime engine, SDK and IDE plugin. I am supposed to get an option for IntelliJ since I have it installed already, but this option is unavailable. See screenshot.
Is there something that I can check or that I am missing?
Would like to give a try with silent installation? Save the below code as batch file and replace the appropriate folder and give a try.

After installing the scala eclipse plugin on helios the scala project type is missing, there is no scala options in the preferences and no other indication that installation has worked. Then when I check 'what is already installed' in the install new software window I can see that the plugin is there....
I can replicate the same problem across several machines in the office however I'm able to install on my own machine at home without a problem....
anyone got any ideas/tips on how to troubleshoot this ??
thanks in advance
Looks like not everything was installed properly.
Before figuring out what is going on, try answering these questions:
In preferences, look for JDT Weaving. Is it enabled?
Any errors in your error log?
What version Eclipse are you running?
For your office machines is Eclipse installed in a read-only directory or C:\Program Files?
Can someone tell me how to install a map reduce (hadoop) plugin in eclipse-cpp-helios-SR2-linux ? Thanx in advance
hi
you can try this approach. Use any latest version of eclipse and than install CDT in it. This will allow you to write c/c++ application.
for your hadoop just go to you hadoop installation directory, here in contrib folder you will find eclipse plug-in in this folder you will get the jar file, just copy this file in to eclipse plug-in directory and restart the eclipse.
Now check for map-reduce perspective in window->open perspective and select build configuration according to your system
I don't know about the hadoop plug-in site if you find a site which provide hadoop plug-in than
There are two way to do it.
1:As you read over the net copy the plug-in and paste it into Eclipse plug-in folder and restart the eclipse. This is not the best way to install plug-in.
2: The proper way to install plug-in in eclipse is following :
Go to Help menu in Eclipse main window press Install new software.
Here in tab work with just put the address of website from where you want to install the plug-in.
Write any name for plug-in than look in the text box. it will provide you proper name of the plug-in and "next " tab at the bottom will be activated.
Press the next tab,It will install your plug-in .
At the end of installation just restart the eclipse to take the new setting effect.
I'm new to Apex and have just downloaded Eclipse to get to work
Eclipse SDK 3.3.2
I've followed the instructions on
http://wiki.apexdevnet.com/index.php/Force.com_IDE_Installation_for_Eclipse_3.3.x
and have added the Remote site:
http://www.adnsandbox.com/tools/ide/install/
but i get a dialog telling me
"No features found on the selected site(s). Choose a different site or site category"
Any ideas what i've done wrong??
Thanks
Dan
Try that process from a clean eclipse install, and repeat the installation steps, making sure that before clicking on "Finish" you unselect the checkbox at the lower left: "Ignore features not applicable to this environment".
Also, check if http://www.adnsandbox.com/tools/ide/install/ is accessible from your workstation.
Please check your proxy setting by accessing "http://www.adnsandbox.com/tools/ide/install/" URL in any of browser and update proxy setting in eclipse.
Force.com now has a standalone development environment that you don't need to download Eclipse for. Just putting it out there for people who stumble across this post.
Install the latest Eclipse Ganymede and try that.
Another good news for you is, force.com is coming with Eclipse galileo plugin in coming release.
