npapi full screen - webkit

I have a npapi plugin working on WebKit. How do I get it to work fullscreen? Is setting the screen browsers or plugins job?

There's no API in NPAPI to go full-screen, so you have to do that yourself by opening a native window and using native platform APIs to make it full screen, then do your drawing there.

React Native debug

I’m doing a React Native project. It has a bug.
The bug make the APP just exit(it can functional run a while, but suddenly...just gone). So it dose not report error. How can I find out where the problem is?
My APP used react-native-bluetooth-serial.
My code on Github
Are you running it on you simulator.
If that is so you have to use real device for testing it as simulators do not have access to bluetooth peripherals.
Hope this helps.
You can use Genymotion or real device to use bluetooth enabled app. To test your bug you can also use "Debug JS remotely" feature of react native dev tools.
To enable dev tools in your real device, shake your device and dev menu will appear. In emulator you can press Ctrl + M to enable dev menu. then you can choose "Debug JS remotely" which will open in chrome. If you are familiar with web development then you might have used "Inspect element" feature which will open dev tools.
The answers are right. You might be using a simulator which doesn't support bluetooth.
To know more about the crash you can check the logs natively. For android just run this inside your android folder
adb logcat
Or you can use
react-native log-ios
react-native log-android

Difference between React-native and Electron

I want to build a simple read-only app which should run on Android, iOS, Windows, OSX and Linux.
Does electron support mobile platform?
I couldn't figure out which one should I go for.
Electron include chrome engine to render web pages as Native apps with support for different plugins to add desktop apps features.
Electrino doesn't include any render engine it uses the Safari engine on the Mac so the installation file is smaller than Electron.
There's no support for Windows yet.
React Native is using a cross-platform render to Android and iOS.
Example: <Text> on Android will be TextView and on iOS will be UITextField
React Native Web made React Native work on web
Example: <Text> on web will be <p> or <label> not sure
and after that, it can work on the desktop by electron
You can build universal apps by using this template by React Native code.
Also if you want a specific target you can add component.web.js or .electron.js
or .android.js or .ios.js so it will render to this target only

Take a look at PWAs. These can be installed on almost all the major mobile and desktop platforms plus it is a web app.

Electron does not support mobile platforms, but it will be difficult to use one framework for mobile apps and computer apps.
I would recomment to use phonegap for mobile and electron for the computer application

Use IntelliJ IDEA for Dart

Does anyone know why he disappeared support of chrome app in the transition from Dart Editor to IntelliJ?
Can't launch background.js but only the HTML files
What can you use to develop chrome app?
The feature is not available in WebStorm/IntelliJ IDEA at the moment. Vote for https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WEB-12096

Any recommendation/suggestion on best practice to develop app using PhoneGap for Android or iOS?

Also, is there a way to test those webapp in a webkit based browser such as chrome (with phonegap plug-in maybe) on a PC first before compiling it to test on a device or emulator?
The key reason is that trouble shooting mal-formed html, javascript code is very difficult on a device or emulator. You can not view the js console to see all error. The Weinre is great, but it can not spits out the error browser complains when initially loading the page.
It will be great if we can validate the html, js, css app first before diving deeper into testing on Android device. i.e. a way to weed out some simple problems before getting into more complicated deeper problems.
Any experience/suggestions/ideas/pointers are greatly appreciated.
Paul> Seems promising. Will try and report back. It seems knowledgeable in phoneGap mob dev. What are the key steps would you go through to dev a phoneGap mob web-app?
Ripple is a Chrome plug-in that includes a PhoneGap mode.
For JavaScript static validation, the PhoneGap Android Eclipse AppLaud plug-in includes a JSLint mode.
I would recommend you use Safari. In your Safari (on Mac) go to Settings (on PC) goto preferences -> Advanced -> check on "Show Develop in Menu bar".
Now you'll find in the Menu "Develop" "User Agent". There you can change the UserAgent identification, that will be send to the server. You can then change it to iPhone.
This way you can at least test it for iOS.
Hope that helps somewhat.

Launch Webkit Nightly in fullscreen mode

I am using Webkit Nightly because i'm working on some new HTML5 features. I would like to look at the application full screen, without the window chrome.
Other browsers have F11 and other buttons to go fullscreen, but webkit doesn't. Is there a way I can launch it in fullscreen mode?
Dennis
Webkit is a web content engine and its not a browser on its own. Anyway, which port of webkit are you referring to? GTK+? QT? EFL?
I just downloaded and compiled WebKit-r70098 (for GTK+) on my Ubuntu box following this instructions. The demo browser (GtkLauncher) that comes with it creates a window of 800x600 (hardcoded in the code) and doesn't have a fullscreen feature.
Also, the pre-compiled binaries for Mac OS X that allows Safari to run on top of Webkit, don't offer native fullscreen capabilities. Currently there's no fullscreen without tweaking Safari configuration files or using 3rd party plugins (there are lots of them).
EDIT:
On Windows, webkit.exe also doesn't have fullscreen capabilities.
