}}
useNativeControls
resizeMode="contain"
isLooping
onPlaybackStatusUpdate={status => setStatus(() => status)}
/>
<View style={styles.buttons}>
<Button
title={status.isPlaying ? 'Pause' : 'Play'}
onPress={() =>
status.isPlaying ? video.current.pauseAsync() : video.current.playAsync()
}
/>
</View>
</SafeAreaView>
)
}
const styles = StyleSheet.create({
container: {
flex: 1,
backgroundColor: '#fff',
alignItems: 'center',
justifyContent: 'center',
},
});

React-native I loop through it, but nothing comes out of the children

I tried to show images and people's names using loops.
import { StyleSheet, Text, View, SafeAreaView, ScrollView } from 'react-native'
import React from 'react'
import Header from './home/Header'
import Stories from './home/Stories'
import Posts from './home/Posts'
import { POSTS } from '../data/posts'
const HomeScreen = () => {
return (
<SafeAreaView style={styles.container}>
<Header></Header>
<ScrollView>
<Stories></Stories>
{POSTS.map((post, index) => (
<Posts post={post} key={index}/>
))}
</ScrollView>
</SafeAreaView>
)
}
export default HomeScreen
const styles = StyleSheet.create({
container: {
flex: 1,
backgroundColor: 'black'
},
});
This is the one that has a problem.
import { Image, StyleSheet, Text, View } from 'react-native'
import {Divider} from 'react-native-elements'
import React from 'react'
const Posts = ({post, index}) => {
return (
<View stlye={styles.conatiner}>
<Divider width={1} orientation='vertical'></Divider>
<PostHeader post={post} key={index}/> <--- this part not show up
</View>
)
};
const PostHeader = ({post, index}) => {
<View style={{flexDirection: 'row', justifyContent: 'space-between', margin: 5, alignContent: 'center'}} key={index}>
<View>
<Image source={{ uri: post.profile_pictrue}} style={styles.story}/>
<Text style={{color: 'white'}}>{post.user.user}</Text>
</View>
</View>
};
const styles = StyleSheet.create({
conatiner: {
marginBottom: 30
},
story: {
width: 35,
height: 35,
borderRadius: 50,
marginBottom: 10,
borderWidth: 2,
borderColor: 'orange'
},
});
export default Posts
But the divider is working. And, there is no error log.
I don't understand what have I done wrong.
you need to wrap with return
const PostHeader = ({post, index}) => {
return( <View style={{flexDirection: 'row', justifyContent: 'space-between', margin: 5, alignContent: 'center'}} key={index}>
<View>
<Image source={{ uri: post.profile_pictrue}} style={styles.story}/>
<Text style={{color: 'white'}}>{post.user.user}</Text>
</View>
</View>)
};
hope it's working fine

Algolia and Hooks in React Native can't navigate to an other page

I'm using algolia with react Native and Expo, I make a connectInfiniteHits and i want to navigate to an other page when the user press a hit, i have the following code:

import PropTypes from 'prop-types';
import { useNavigation } from '#react-navigation/native';
const navigation = (id) => {
const navigation = useNavigation();

}
const InfiniteHitsRep = ({ hits, hasMore, refine }) => (

How to open a webview on button press in react-native?

I want to open a webview in a react-native app on button click.
I am new to react native and getting error which are difficult to understand.
const url = 'https://google.com/';
export default class MyWebComponent extends Component {
renderIcon(){
console.log("came here")
return(
return <WebView source={{ uri: url }} />;
)
}
render() {
return (
<View style={styles.container}>
<Button
onPress={{} => () this._renderIcon()}
title= {this.state.Title}
/>
</View>
);
}
}
const styles = StyleSheet.create({
container: {
flex: 1,
justifyContent: 'center',
alignItems: 'center',
backgroundColor: '#EF5350'
},
instructions: {
textAlign: 'center',
color: '#ffffff',
marginBottom: 5
}
});
You could add a state that opens the webview like this.
export default class MyWebComponent extends Component {
state = { shouldOpenWebview: false }
render() {
if (this.state.shouldOpenWebview) return <WebView source={{ uri: url }} />
return (
<View style={styles.container}>
<Button
onPress={() => this.setState({ shouldOpenWebview: true})}
title= {this.state.Title}
/>
</View>
);
}
}
Use a flag to management if the Webview is showed or not.

how to use the state hook for dynamically created components in react native

I am trying to do is use useState for dynamically created components in React. In the code below I am, rendering the new components, but I cannot find a way to keep track of their state like I did for the hardcoded components. The new components are rendered when the user creates a new "post", causing new "posts" to be generated.
return (
{
results.map( (eachPost) =>
{ const [status, setStatus] = React.useState(true); },
<TouchableOpacity>
<Card>
<Text>
{JSON.parse(eachPost).title}
</Text>
<Collapsible collapsed = {status}>
{JSON.parse(eachPost).content}
</Collapsible>
</Card>
</TouchableOpacity>
)
}
)
UPDATE: I need to know how I can re-render the page

I think you need more knowledge related to basics of react.
You need a Post component
Post.js
export default (props) => {
const [status, setStatus] = useState();
return (<TouchableOpacity>
<Card>
<Text>
{props.title}
</Text>
<Collapsible collapsed = {status}>
{props.content}
</Collapsible>
</Card>
</TouchableOpacity>);
};
When u call Post
App.js
import Post from './Post.js'
export default App = ()
{
const result = [];
return (
results.map( (eachPost) =>{
const eachPost = JSON.parse(eachPost);
return (<Post title={eachPost.title} content={eachPost.content})/>)
}
}
)

How to make button with background image redirect to WebView React Native

I have problem to make button with background image and then redirect to my WebView React Native.
I already have run code to show my web view, and I want before my web view show, its triggered from button click who look like this
Below is the code for my WebView;
import React, { Component } from 'react'
import {
View,StyleSheet,AppRegistry
} from 'react-native'
import {WebView} from 'react-native-webview'
export default class ActivityIndicatorDemo extends Component {
render() {
return (
<View style = {styles.container}>
{/*<WebView
source={{html: '<h1>Hello javaTpoint</h1>'}}
/>*/}
{/* <WebView
source={require("./resources/index.html")}
/>*/}
<WebView
// injectedJavaScript={false}
// javaScriptEnabled={false}
// originWhitelist={['*']}
source = {{ uri:'http://myip/login' }}
/>
</View>
)
}
}
const styles = StyleSheet.create({
container: {
justifyContent: 'center',
flexDirection: 'column',
flex: 1,
}
})
AppRegistry.registerComponent('App', () => ActivityIndicatorDemo)
How I can implement button with background image before my WebView shows?
Here is a simple way to do it.
import React, {useState} from 'react';
import {
View,
ImageBackground,
TouchableOpacity,
Text,
StatusBar,
} from 'react-native';
import WebView from "react-native-webview";
const App = () => {
const [visible, showWebview] = useState(false)
const setVisible = (visible) => {
showWebview(visible);
}
return (
<View
style={{
width:'100%',
height:"100%"
}}
>
{
!visible? <View
style={{
width:'100%',
height:"100%"
}}
> <ImageBackground
source={{uri:"https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1556742031-c6961e8560b0?ixlib=rb-1.2.1&q=85&fm=jpg&crop=entropy&cs=srgb&dl=clay-banks-tgquMvhNLc4-unsplash.jpg"}}
style={{width:"100%",height:"90%",zIndex:999,justifyContent:"center",alignItems:"center"}}
/> <TouchableOpacity
onPress={() => setVisible(true)}
style={{
backgroundColor:"white",
justifyContent:"center",
alignItems:"center",
padding:10,height:"10%"
}}
>
<Text>Show Webview</Text>
</TouchableOpacity> </View> :
<View
style={{
flex:1
}}
>
<TouchableOpacity
onPress={() => setVisible(false)}
style={{
backgroundColor:"red",
padding:10,
justifyContent:'center',
alignItems:'center',
width:"100%"
}}
>
<Text style={{color:'white'}} >Hide Webview</Text>
</TouchableOpacity>
<WebView
scalesPageToFit
originWhitelist={["*"]}
source={{ uri:"https://www.google.com"
}}/>
</View>
}
</View>
);
};
export default App;
