How to run Odoo with OCA repositories' modules in Odoo.sh? - odoo

I am testing Odoo.sh, trying to run an Odoo 15 Enterprise. I read all the documentation and see several webinars about it, but I am not able to run an instance with any OCA module.
To do that, I followed these steps:
In the Odoo.sh interface, I created a new branch in the Development category, forking from main branch (the one in the Production category). Note: the main branch is the one created by default by Odoo.sh, I didn't make any modification on it and in fact it works OK, I can connect to it.
Also in the Odoo.sh interface, I clicked on the button Submodule and then on Run on Odoo.sh. In the opened pop-up, I added the OCA repository l10n-spain, (version 15.0 of course). The repository works perfectly in a local server. In fact you can try with other OCA repository, the result is going to be the same.
After doing that, Odoo.sh adds the repo to the project with a new [ADD] commit, and tries to make a build of it. However, the tests always fail.
If I go to the log, first, in the install.log section, I can see errors with Pip libraries, so I open a shell and try to fix them, with pip3 check and then adjusting the versions of the libraries it complains of.
After that, when I try to connect to the new build, the odoo.log starts being filled but also with errors, particularly this one:
WARNING xxx odoo.addons.base.models.ir_cron: Tried to poll an undefined table on database xxx.
ERROR xxx odoo.sql_db: bad query:
SELECT latest_version
FROM ir_module_module
WHERE name='base'
ERROR: relation "ir_module_module" does not exist
LINE 3: FROM ir_module_module
^
This error uses to appear when you do a wrong installation of Odoo, but the installation is done by Odoo.sh, so... how can I fix this?
Does anyone experienced the same? Any ideas? May be the Python libraries are the problem?

One problem can be that the requirements file brokest the installation. odoo.sh tries to install it automatically, and because odoo.sh is using outdated python modules, the installation usually breaks.
https://github.com/OCA/l10n-spain/blob/15.0/requirements.txt
You can try to copy the required modules directly to your repository.

Well, in the end I managed to connect to the build after open a shell and writing these commands:
odoosh-restart http
odoo-update all
Still didn't check which of them did the trick.

Can't start Framework Qwik project

I have an issue while creating and starting project. I followed the instructions given here https://qwik.builder.io/docs/getting-started/ and used npm, selected Basic App (QwikCity), but when I start the project I'm given the next error:
Error
Terminal output:
[vite] Internal server error: Failed to load url /src/root_component_vgnegdacmce.js (resolved id: C:/Users/JESUS LOPEZ/Documents/Universidad/Pasantías/qwik-app/src/root_component_vgnegdacmce.js). Does the filnt_vgnegdacmce.js). Does the file exist?

I'm using Windows 10 and node 18.12.0, I tried with yarn and happened the same. I'm just testing this framework because I was required to create a component library, so I wanted to test the waters with a basic app project and then move on with the component library but even if I select this option, I have a similar error.
This is my repo: https://github.com/luisamlopez/qwik-app but it's literally just a brand new qwik project (npm create qwik#latest) so I haven't touch anything.
Your code works fine without any problems. Maybe some node modules or other dependencies would have not been installed properly because of firewall or network issues.
Clean the node_modules manually delete the folder or by the following command
rm -r node_modules/
npm prune
Note: prune command is optional.
Install the package dependencies by
npm i
Make sure the installation happens successfully without any issues or try to install with a different network or turn off the firewall for a while. Or worst case try with different machines.

dbt deps command results in "Unable to connect to registry hub"

When running dbt deps, I get back this error message:
Running with dbt=0.17.0
Error sending message, disabling tracking
Encountered an error:
Unable to connect to registry hub
What's happening here, and how can I work around it?
First of all, it's worth understanding what's going on here. It looks like you're trying to install a package from the dbt hub site (hub.getdbt.com) — if you open up your packages.yml file, you'll find something like this:
packages:
- hub: package-owner/package-name
version: 0.1.0
When you run dbt deps (at a high level):
dbt sends a request to hub.getdbt.com
From hub.getdbt.com, a request is sent to GitHub to download the package.
The package is copied into your project
This error occurs if dbt cannot connect to the hub site after sending a network request repeatedly. First off, we recommend you retry the dbt deps command — sometimes it's just a blip in connectivity that goes away on the second try.
If the error persists, there may be a few different reasons for it:
hub.getdbt.com might be unavailable. This happens but is relatively rare. You can navigate to hub.getdbt.com to check if this is the case. Also check the Netlify status page to see if there are any issues.
GitHub might be down — you can check this by going to the GitHub status page.
Finally, it may be that a firewall rule or antivirus software on your computer is rejecting the request. Talk to your IT team to find out if this is the case and whether that restriction can be removed.
We generally recommend using the hub syntax for packages, however if you need to work around it, you can consider using the git syntax (docs) or installing the package from a local directory (docs)

nodeclipse editbox plugin - unable to install

I have updated eclipse to 4.10 (2018-12/R), the cpp package
Running under ubuntu 18.04.
I tried to add nodeclipse editbox using the marketplace, but it cannot find the plugin.
Then tried the option help-install New Software, adding the repository provided in the github site (https://github.com/Nodeclipse/EditBox), as
http://nodeclipse.github.io/dev.updates/editbox-1.0.0/
But I always get this error:
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
Unable to read repository at http://nodeclipse.github.io/dev.updates/editbox-1.0.0/plugins/pm.eclipse.editbox_1.0.0.201804021412.jar.
Connection reset
I have searched for the whole morning, and cannot find any reference to the possible cause of this error.
Any pointer will be appreciated
OK, looks like I solved it. Recording it here in case others come looking.
The problem was in the server that cut the file download midway.
So using the information in the error message, I was able to download and install directly the plugin. I did:
cd /opt/eclipse/plugins - To get the download directly into the plugin folder
Then used wget to download the folder directly:
wget http://nodeclipse.github.io/dev.updates/editbox-1.0.0/plugins/pm.eclipse.editbox_1.0.0.201804021412.jar
Restarted eclipse, and voila! It was working.
Simpler than I thougth.

What text editors does --dev reload with work

I'm following Odoo's documentation to use the --dev all parameter when I run odoo-bin, in order to have Python models get updated when I change the source code without me having to restart the server. According to the documentation, the reload flag (which is part of all) doesn't work with some text editors. I've been using Sublime Text, and that doesn't seem to work because my model changes don't take effect until I restart the server. Is there a good, commonly used text editor which does work with the reload parameter, or is there a list of text editors which work with it?
If you're running Odoo from the command line via a standard ./odoo-bin --dev reload command then you should not have any issues as long as you have the lib dependencies setup.
Make sure to monitor your log for errors. It requires the watchdog library to be installed via pip install watchdog. Take a look at (currently line 943) of the core files https://github.com/odoo/odoo/blob/10.0/odoo/service/server.py to see how dev reload works:
def start(preload=None, stop=False):
...
watcher = None
if 'reload' in config['dev_mode']:
if watchdog:
watcher = FSWatcher()
watcher.start()
else:
_logger.warning("'watchdog' module not installed. Code autoreload feature is disabled")
if 'werkzeug' in config['dev_mode']:
server.app = DebuggedApplication(server.app, evalex=True)
I am not completely sure, but after doing a quick search on the text editor that I have been primarily using (Atom developed by GitHub), I believe it may have what you're looking for.
Have fun with your future endeavors. I hope my answer helps.
Since odoo uses werkzeug server, you can just use the command line argument to start the server, and everything will be taken care by the server.
./openerp-server --auto-reload
this will restart the server whenever .py file is modified.

How to install PrestaShop 1.7 RC0 from Composer

I've just cloned the RC0 of PrestaShop 1.7.
I've run composer install but... what to do now?
I've tried to start the server with app/console server:start but, going to 127.0.0.1:8000 i receive this error:
Front not yet implemented! Or to delete...
So, this seems not to be right way:
app/console server:stop
and try another way...
Go with the classic localhost:
Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1049] Unknown
database 'dev-prestashop-1_7'
Ok, I've to create the database... Database dev-prestashop-1_7 created... Try again...
Table 'dev-prestashop-1_7.ps_shop_url' doesn't exist
Yes, it's normal that it doesn't exists: I've not yet created it!
But, now comes the question: how I configure PrestaShop?
How can I start the installation procedure using the composer version of PrestaShop 1.7 RC0?
Once you have downloaded the zip of prestashop, you have to unzip it in a specified repo and give it the needed permissions. Then, you acces to this repo in a chosen browser.
For example (if you are under Linux system), let's say that your repo is called prestashop_1.7 and is put in /var/html/www, so you access to localhost/prestashop_1.7.
When accessing to this URL, un install unzipper will start and when finishing unzipping, it will lead you to the installation configuration.
You enter your configuration (you have to create the database manually) and that's it!
