Start Emulator and download build from link produced in step 1. Open the App.
expo start --dev-client
Press a │ open Android
Press m │ toggle menu
Press "Debug Remote JS" on device/emulator
React Native Debugger opens in th browser but app is crashing and does it everytime I try to open it again.
Same thing happens on the physical device.
React Native application might be using a library that uses JSI, e.g React Native Reanimated 2 (https://docs.swmansion.com/react-native-reanimated/docs/#known-problems-and-limitations) or React Native MMKV (https://github.com/mrousavy/react-native-mmkv#limitations).
With these libraries, remote debugging won't execute properly. I'd start on checking of known limitations on your project's 3rd party libs.
I noticed that connecting expo-dev-client via localhost automatically crashes the app.
Try to use LAN network and make sure that your device and computer are on the same network.
I'm using the expo-google-sign-in in my expo app for login. However, I'm getting the error that expo-google-sign-in is not supported in expo client. How can I create a react native app that does hot reloading that I can debug the expo-google-sign-in at?
GoogleSignIn can't be used in the Expo client, since the native GoogleSignIn library expects your REVERSE_CLIENT_ID in the info.plist at build-time, so that is expected.
This is only possible with standalone apps. You can use TestFlight to create a standalone .ipa to test on iOS which doesn’t require you to go through the review process. As for Android, you can create an apk and install it onto your device.

i have a project using expo version 30.0.1 i don't want that to change the app was created using CRNA when i try to run npm start and i choose ios or android the expo mobile app on the simulator always gives me an error saying the experience you requested uses Expo SDK v(null) but this copy of Expo Client requires that at least v34.0.0. the author should upgrade their experience to a newer Expo SDK version now i want to run the app as it is with the older expo version, how can i achieve that?
i tried uninstalling the Expo Client app from the simulator but when it reinstalls it installs the newer Expo client app on the simulator. is there a way to tell Expo to install the Expo client on the simulator based on the current projects Expo version?
iOS: according to the Expo support; it’s not possible to downgrade the expo client app on a device (apple does not let you distribute multiple versions of an app at the same time on the app store), but you can install it on your simulator by running expo client:install:ios in your project directory.
Android: you may download the required version from here and install the APK. There is more info here if needed.
I am using expo to create a react native application. There are settings app.json which i am not sure what it mean.
Standalone Android Apps , Standalone iOS Apps settings.
Are those settings required before build the app and upload to playstore/appStore?
I am an android developer and learning react native.
I made an app in React Native and now I want to release my app in android play store and apple store but I don't know where do I put my react native project code/files?
I had put react native code in my PHP(Linux) server but it's not working, it says file not found 404.
please guide, Thanks
You need to generate build standalone signed apk.
Generating Signed APK
https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/signed-apk-android.html
1) first create keystore file and put in android folder location
2) setting up gradle for keystore
3) run comman
react-native run-android --variant=release
after success run command you will file apk-release.apk in andorid/app/build/outputs/apk/ location
then you can uplaod apk to app store
If your app doesn't need detach (for example doesn't use bluetooth) you can use create-react-native-app and put your app code inside new project. That way you can publish your app to https://expo.io/ . It's a great way to publish your app without Google Play and App Store.
Here is instruction for creating new react native app with expo kit:
https://facebook.github.io/react-native/docs/getting-started.html
And here is how to publish it into expo:
https://docs.expo.io/versions/v25.0.0/guides/publishing.html#how-to-publish
All you need is create-react-native-app and exp command line tools.
