It seems you haven't set up android development environment in your windows machine.
Follow the instruction mentioned here to setting up the development environment
It's already mentioned in above that "If you already have a JDK on your system, we recommend JDK11. You may encounter problems using higher JDK versions."

I got this error while react-native run-android. I tried ./gradlew clean ./gradlew -stop and wipe data, remove build folder, .gradle folder etc... But can't solve the problem.
Here is the error code I got.
Does anyone has an idea to solve that problem?

I am building a mobile application using React-Native. I am now trying to run my application on Android Emulator. First, this is the continuation of this question. I installed the Android Studio and configured the environment as I mentioned in the previous question.
This is what I did to fix the error from previous question.
I changed the line 13 in android/gradle.properties to this:
org.gradle.jvmargs=-Xmx2048m -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
When I run "react-native run-android" command this time, I am getting the error. The error is saying it could not find '/Users/waihein/Desktop/Code/shar-kya-mal-app/node_modules/#react-native-community/cli-platform-android/native_modules.gradle' file.
So I run npm i #react-native-community/cli-platform-android command to install the required package.
The I delete node_modules folder and run "npm install" again. Then I run "react-native run-android". I am getting the following error this time.
* Where:
Settings file '/Users/waihein/Desktop/Code/shar-kya-mal-app/android/settings.gradle' line: 8
* What went wrong:
A problem occurred evaluating settings 'sharkyamalapp'.

> BUG! exception in phase 'semantic analysis' in source unit '_BuildScript_' Unsupported class file major version 61
But the file is there I can see it in the node_modules folder. How can I fix it?
[1-npm install -g react-native-cli ]
create new project command
**react-native init MyAwesome **
run project
cd MyAwesome
connect my cellphone via laptop "developer mode and USB debugging mode is on also"

Already tried to clean project, set min sdk to 18, tried to build with android studio to get more specific error but still can't understand where is the problem coming from.

This issue is similar to this issue.
As mentioned in #Kreator answer it is related to some packages that are not converted to AndroidX.
To fix this issue you can use jetifier.
I have the same issue mentioned in the question and these steps solved it and application run again.
First, use Android Studio's refactoring tool to convert your app re: the Android developer docs
npm install --save-dev jetifier
npx jetify
npx react-native run-android (your app should correctly compile and work)
Call npx jetify run in the postinstall target of your package.json (Any time your dependencies update you have to jetify again)
Problem was that i was using Android Studio Preview, and with that AndroidX and more unsupported packages.
I HAD THIS SAME ISSUE.

error Failed to install the app. Make sure you have the Android

https://reactnative.dev/docs/environment-setup.
Solution
this was my build.gradle project:
buildscript {
ext {
buildToolsVersion = "30.0.2"
minSdkVersion = 21
compileSdkVersion = 31
targetSdkVersion = 31
ndkVersion = "21.4.7075529"
kotlin_version = "1.6.0" // Update this to your version
}
repositories {
google()
mavenCentral()
}
...
}
I changed the some version to as following:
compileSdkVersion = 29
targetSdkVersion = 29
And now the Build is successful!
In my package.json, I have the following script:
"scripts": {
"build": "tsc",
"prepublish": "yarn build"
},
I would expect that when I issue the command "yarn publish" it would run the prepublish script, which would itself cause the build script to run, which would run the typescript compiler, and when publish happened, the new javascript that is generated by the typescript compiler would part of the published package.
And looking at the output of the yarn publish command, this looks like what is happening:
C:\> yarn publish
yarn publish v1.0.2
[1/4] Bumping version...
info Current version: 0.0.2
question New version: 0.0.3
info New version: 0.0.3
[2/4] Logging in...
[3/4] Publishing...
$ tsc
success Published.
[4/4] Revoking token...
info Not revoking login token, specified via config file.
Done in 17.20s.
So it looks fine. And when I am done with this, the javascript in my local package directory is fine.
However, if I now install that package elsewhere with yarn install, the installed package has the javascript that was in place BEFORE the typescript compiler (tsc) was run. Almost as if what was packaged up for publication was the state of the world BEFORE the prepublish script. This seems both wrong and counter-intuitive.
Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding something fundamental?
