I am using react-native-modal library, in my project i want to implement one modal on top of another modal, it is not working on ios but perfectly works on android..
I want to use one modal at a time while other modal is open.
The only way you can have two modals at the same time is by nesting the second modal inside the first modal. For now this is the best solution for the current version of the library.

I have a react native app that we are implementing the react native web version using: React native web, the app uses the latests react native navigation library.
So far, mostly everything is working except for modals, the problem that i have is that when i open a modal, the URL path on web updates (I.E: from /signup if i open a modal it switch to /legalAgreementModal?QUERY_PARAMS....), so if i refresh the page the modal works but i can't close the modal anymore. I thought about adding a conditional on the modal to goBack if there is anything to go back to, but the problem is that i have too many modals that can go back to different screens so it will be a huge change if i have to add that logic to every modal.
My question is, is there a way to avoid modals to update my path? So if user refresh they lost the modal but they are on the original screen? Perhaps another workaround that you guys may know could help also!.
Thanks!
I tried adding a conditional on modal close action, adding empty string as the modal path.
I am trying to create a modal that is half screen but when the use slides up, it becomes full screen. Like google map or lyft's modal.
Thanks!
You can use react-native-bottom-action-sheet, it's the easiest solution if you have time and are willing to experiment you can create your own custom solution using PanResponder from react-native
The goal is a simple and clean implementation to build a pop-up window similar to the search-filters from the YouTube-App, see picture. Tapping on the half-transparent border should close the pop-up. The same pop-up is supposed to be called from several screens (within nested navigation-structures) and just give back the choices to the respective screen.
I did quite some search and documentation reading, so I seem to have the following four options:
Use an Alert window and heavily modifying the alert message, but this option does not allow me to cancel by clicking on the transparent area.
Using some promising-looking component which is very beta like react-native-popupwindow is not really an option either.
Use a modal component which claims to be a simple way to present content above an enclosing view. According to How to dim a background in react native modal? and Tap outside of modal to close modal (react-native-modal)" this seems to be a possible option.
However, some people say that you should rather use Overlay and use Modal only as a last resort.
Please advice which of the solutions you tested in real life. What do you suggest? Maybe there is even an easier solution?

Modal is totally your way to go.
My personal choice would be https://github.com/react-native-community/react-native-modal which has the best performances and flexibility overall.
I am creating tabs in my app using react-navigation by createTabNavigator.
What I want to do is how can I show a portion of next screen in tab in the current screen. The Idea is to show the user that there exist another view
What I have already done is that everything except the for showing the next screen in current one, is there any prop or option that will allow me to shrink down the page container?
This is not possible with react-navigation.
Try using a carousel library like react-native-snap-carousel (https://github.com/archriss/react-native-snap-carousel). As you can see in their showcase apps, this library does exactly what you want.
Is that possible to create modal within modal? If possible please help me to create modal within modal and within one more modal it means i need to create three modal and second modal should contain drop down using twitter bootstrap.
According to Bootstrap:
Multiple open modals not supported Be sure not to open a modal while
another is still visible. Showing more than one modal at a time
requires custom code.
