can't find my url service on jax-rs and wildfly - jax-rs

I have this service
#ApplicationPath("/services") public class MyRestEasyApplication extends Application {
Packeged package bitsexcel.ws.resteasy.services; My project is named RsJavaWeb and run in this url http://localhost:8080/RsJavaWeb/ on Wilfly Server
I have not web.xml descriptor with nothing except <welcome-file-list>
I can't find my service in any url
I tried with:
http://localhost:8080/RsJavaWeb/services/person/1
http://localhost:8080/RsJavaWeb/ ?
And ever more but I can't find the service

Find the context root of your application (you can see it from WildFly UI console).
Then you should send requests at http://localhost:8080/{context-root}/services/...

Blazor WASM Deploy to IIS Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I developed a Balzor WASM and it works on local machine with bellow structure :
But when I deploy to IIS it show me this error :
{"error":"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."}
It is very strange that has no any http 500 error in debug mode but when I hosted on IIS it shows me this error.
There is no any additional information in page or event viewer!
Another thing is I host both release and debug files on IIS. I shows me this message again!
Anyone can help me?
The error seems to be json and is strange that is on your index page of the WASM client.
The only possibility I can think is a request from your index.hrml to your backend but there's a problem of configuration.
Check your endpoint base address in your appsettings.json in your wwwroot of the client app.
Try to use postman (or another client like it) to test calls to your backend when hosted on IIS.

IBM Liberty profile server returning SRTServletRequest instead of spring MultiPartHttpServletRequest

Postman request details
I am using IBM Websphere 8.5 Liberty server and trying to send a POST request via Postman.
In controller I want to get org.springframework.web.multipart.MultipartHttpServletRequest.
But I am getting application server specific SRTServletRequest31 class inside controller class.
How to resolve it?
In my spring configuration file I have following entry.
<bean id="multipartResolver class="org.springframework.web.multipart.commons.CommonsMultipartResoler">
The issue got resolved after adding the servlet filter entry for in parent project deployment descriptor. (web.xml).
org.springframework.web.multipart.support.MultipartFilter

UrlHelper returning http links on Azure App Service

I have a service that when deployed on Azure App Services returns http links instead of https links when using UrlHelper. When testing on my development machine it returns https links as expected, and the service is available and accessed through https requests.
An example of the type of route from my startup I'm trying to use is:
routes.MapRoute(
"FooBar",
"api/Foo/{Id}/Bar");
The link is then constructed using:
IUrlHelper _urlHelper = // Injected into class via service registration
int id = 42; // Arbitrary value for example
_urlHelper.Link("FooBar", new {Id = id});
When running on my local machine using Docker on Windows from Visual Studio I get a link of https://localhost:1234/api/Foo/42/Bar, but on my deployed Linux Container App Service on Azure I get http://my-app-name.azurewebsites.net/api/Foo/42/Bar.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong to get an http link instead of an https link, and would appreciate any advice/pointing in the right direction.
So I found the solution was with the configuration of the ASP.Net Core app itself. I performed the following modifications and then everything worked correctly:
Added app.UseForwardedHeaders(); to the request pipeline.
Added the following snippet to service container registration:
services.Configure<ForwardedHeadersOptions>(options =>
{
options.ForwardedHeaders = ForwardedHeaders.All;
options.KnownNetworks.Clear();
options.KnownProxies.Clear();
});
The KnownNetworks and KnownProxies need to be cleared as they default to assuming an IIS hosting environment. For extra security you can add the known proxy/network IPs instead of clearing them here.

register server wide javax.ws.rs.client.ClientRequestFilter on JBoss EAP 7

Is it possible to register a javax.ws.rs.client.ClientRequestFilter server wide on JBoss EAP 7? I would like to intercept all outbound JAX-RS calls to dynamically add some context information in HTTP headers.
For JAX-WS calls I was able to do this with https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_jboss_enterprise_application_platform/7.0/html-single/developing_web_services_applications/#jax_ws_handler_chains. I can't find any documentation on a similar mechanism for JAX-RS.
Or alternatively, is there maybe another way to intercept outbound HTTP calls in general?
For a per server solution, according to Using HttpHandler class in Undertow "you need to package your handler(s) into a module, and configure custom-filter in undertow subsystem."
The module.xml example and undertow configuration has been given as well as filter source code!
Update
There's an example of using the HTTPExchange here though I dont really care much for that site. SO also has this slightly related example - it does look like it can work similarly to the JAX-WS Handlers/Interceptor How to properly read post request body in a handler
Another good example file upload using httphandler I know they're different that dealing with JAX-RS but still may apply.
I implemented it by creating a module with the following contents:
package be.fgov.kszbcss.tracer.jaxrs;
import org.jboss.resteasy.client.jaxrs.ResteasyClient;
import org.jboss.resteasy.client.jaxrs.ResteasyClientBuilder;
public class TracerResteasyClientBuilder extends ResteasyClientBuilder {
#Override
public ResteasyClient build() {
return super.build().register(TracerJaxRsClientRequestFilter.class);
}
}
/META-INF/services/javax.ws.rs.client.ClientBuilder
be.fgov.kszbcss.tracer.jaxrs.TracerResteasyClientBuilder
And registering it as a global module on JBoss EAP.

Web Api documentation with swashbuckle

We are currently trying to start writing WebApi services for our products switching from traditional WCF SOAP based services. The challenge we have got is how to provide the api documentation. I came across the SwaggerUi/swash buckle.
One limitation we have is we do not want to host the WebApi services in IIS but in a Windows Service. I am new to Web Api so I might be doing things the wrong way.
So for testing, I am hosting the web api in a console application. I can use the HttpClient to invoke the Get method on the Web Api but I can't access the same if I type the url in a web browser (is this normal for self hosted web api?).
So I installed the Swashbuckle.core nuget package and included the following code in the Startup class (Owin selfhosted).
var config = new HttpConfiguration();
config
.EnableSwagger(c =>
{
c.IncludeXmlComments(GetXmlCommentsPath());
c.SingleApiVersion("v1", "WebApi");
c.ResolveConflictingActions(x => x.First());
})
.EnableSwaggerUi();
private static string GetXmlCommentsPath()
{
var path = $#"{AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory}\WebApiHost.XML";
return path;
}
When I browse to the following location
http://localhost:5000/swagger/ui/index
I get "page cannot be displayed" in IE. Similar for chrome.
Is there anything special that needs to be done when hosting a WebApi in a console/windows service application to get the documentation automatically?
(I have enabled Xml documentation for the project)
I have now attached a test project. Please follow the link below:

Your problem is not with Swashbuckle, which is configured correctly. Instead it is with the fact that your OWin web app has closed by the time the browser navigates to the swagger URI. Your using statement means that the web app is shut down at the end of it - well before Chrome has opened and navigated to the swagger path. You need to ensure the web app is still running - then your path will be valid (although in your source code you have different ports 9000 and 5000 in your url variables).
