I am trying to include a t-call inside the homepage template in Odoo (between two sections). It works fine but when I open the editor the drageable areas around the other sections are not displaying. Is there a way to ignore the t-call part when the editor loads or is there a way around this?
I have tried using dynamic templates but I would like to avoid the loading time when the page loads and render the page on the server.
I have also tried adding various classes or attributes on the tags surrounding the call but nothing seems to work.
Thanks,

I have added a side bar like this one onto a CDE dashboard.
https://bootsnipp.com/snippets/featured/responsive-navigation-menu
Now the sidebar needs to be on every page listed on the menu.
What is the best way to go about this?
I could copy it on every single dash board - it works but it's not great especially if I need to change stg ex-post.
Create an "index" page with the side bar and an iframe to display the "sub" dashboards?
Create a widget (I tried but no success so far)
Custom component?
I think I solved the problem by using jquery load like these guys did.
Include another HTML file in a HTML file
I believe there is a widget on my page that is causing unbelievably slow page loads. I have narrowed down the exact page it is, and I have about 8 widgets on it. I am trying to disable the widgets one by one, but am having a tough time figuring it out. In the documentation to explains how to remove a widget, but I would like to only temporarily disable them.
These widgets are on PageBuilders, and I have tried to deselect them in Settings > Configuration > Template Configuration but this does not seem to disable it.
Is there a different way to disable widgets?
I am using Ektron 8.6.1
To disable the widget, you could remove the .ascx file from the /widgets folder. The Page should open but report "Cannot load widget" where that widget would appear on the page.
The template configuration setting only prevents you from adding that widget to a new page.
I have a page where there are about 30 links and those links would have similar page except for a few contents changed(there is also pictuures). Now is there an efficient way to do that without repeating the codes and repeated nestings of the codes. thank you.
Using plain HTML you won't be able to do this.
The most straightforward way to do it, I think, is using server-side scripting to implement a rendering template. You could then have a default "main" template with everything those 30 pages have in common and then in each of those pages use the main template and load the custom content.
So if you want to modify something in the main template you'd only have to modify the main.html (or whatever you called it) page and not each of the 30 pages.
See this.
I have used Dojo-Tabcontainer to create tabs. I want to have a separate template for every tab. So, when a tab is clicked I want a new page to be loaded and the url to be changed.
Can you please suggest a way to do this using Markup instead of programmatic way?
I'm thinking of using Template Inheritance while creating html page for each tab to avoid redundancy.
I can get some clue from this:
How to change Dojo TabContainer behaviour to simply open an external link instead of showing a ContentPane?
But I'm not sure how to do it via Markup instead of programming.
i have done 'everything' that manual says.
included all files, adding it properly to html structure, loaded images,..
please, you can view live problem here
You are using ajaxpage to load the div with id=slider for certain categories for page.php. However, Nivo slider is looking for a div after the primary page has loaded (the $(window).load function).
Somehow, you need to attach the .load function call to the page being loaded by ajaxpage.
You might try adding the $(window).load call to the bottom of each page whenever you are setting up a Nivo slideshow.
If you were using jQuery's ajax library/module calls, you might be able to attach the load action to fire when the ajax has loaded.
I looked at the source of one of your page.php pages with Nivo and I think that you set up the HTML correctly, but the Nivo module just has not been started, partly because of the way the page is pulling in the content using ajax.
This is a clever way of doing things, but just needs a different trick to starting Nivo.
