Assign required permissions to developer on Workday - workday-api

Here's the thing, I tried to create a community account on Workday, but I never got back any email from them in order for me to ask my question there, so probably SO community will be helpful.
I want to develop widgets that would pull information from Workday. I want to know what is required from the Workday environment for me to be able to develop these widgets.
These widgets for example, will show information about the current user, for example the number of days of vacation left, etc.. So I want to use Workday REST APIs. Now the question is, since I don't currently have access to a workday environment, I'm not sure what to ask the client for. What permissions should they provide me #1 as a developer, #2 as a service account that will be used later to run these calls.
Any help and guidance from someone who has done similar thing would be really helpful.

CRUD with single drag/drop or other action via API?

This is my first post/question. If I missed an existing thread that answers my question, I missed that thread in my search and definitely appreciate you linking me! Please let me know if I should be posting/asking this elsewhere....
My question relates to Salesforce.
I have a use case where a client has a monthly batch of files that need to be made available on various cloud-based storage/distribution platforms like Box and Dropbox but also other less ubiquitous tools specific to the sector. Currently, the client is logging into each distribution platform, one-at-a-time, and uploading the files; then, if at any point any files need to be updated or removed/restricted, the client logs into each platform one-by-one and takes the necessary action. Obviously the process being described is tedious/laborious and leaves multiple gaps for error. The client and I are discussing a solution that would allow for create/read/update/delete actions in all of the distribution platforms without having to leave their Salesforce org. I am aware of existing AppExchange integrations for Box, Dropbox, etc. but they don’t quite do everything we need (to my knowledge)—they tie-in nicely and there are use cases where they are powerful tools...but—my understanding of those existing integration is that they would still each require dedicated tabs within the Object and repeated ‘drags’ and ‘drops’ of the same files to each tab. Again, the end goal here is that, for example, the client wants to drag and drop one time and have it pushed to the various platforms, etc. Or another example is they would like to choose "delete" one time from within Salesforce and have the file removed/restricted on all distribution platforms.
I am a certified SF Admin 1, so...perhaps this should be in my wheelhouse but...I feel unsure how to approach. My feeling is this is asking for a combination of integrations via API and Process/Flow work, but I am hoping for some ideas/input/guidance. Any insight or help any of you have to offer would be so greatly appreciated!!
Thanks so much!

Requirements for beginner using twitter api to retweet specific tweets

I am new to twitter api.
I want to search tweets that have 2 specific terms and 1 specific hashtag, and then I want to retweet them in my account for the purpose of consolidating all the tweets.
Do I need to have a developer account?
Should I look to an already existing app (I prefer one that is free or open source), or can I do this with twitter api as a regular user?
Any tutorials or instructions are greatly appreciated. TIA.
I have applied for a developer account, but I don't know how long it will take - I also don't know what the criteria are for being granted one.
I found different kinds of "retweet" applets on ifttt.com - I implemented one of them, and it accomplished what I wanted to achieve, though not perfectly, and there was no documentation to customize functionality, etc.
I couldn't find information anywhere about using twitter API without a developer account, so I applied for that type of account. They emailed approximately 3 times to get more information about my use case, and purposes, intent of use, what I intend to develop, etc. My application was approved within approximately 48 hours.
I will update this answer if there is more information I think might be valuable to share.

Creating a QBOE Time Entry App for Win 8

My company uses Quick Books Online for its accounting, and that's where we go to log our time against projects. In an effort to make time entry easier, and a way to learn how to write a Windows 8 Metro app, I thought it would be a useful project that simplified time tracking, application that could automatically submit my time to QB. The thought would be users would use their own QBO logins so it would be able to see their time entries.
I have been looking around the api for QBOE and can't seem to tell if its possible to connect to a QBOE account with non admin credentials. Is what I am thinking even possible?
No, this is not possible. You will need something in the middle to talk between QB and your application.
There are a number of different timesheet apps on appcenter that you might look at. https://appcenter.intuit.com/category/time-tracking

How To Get Started Working with the Google AdWords API?

I'm a student working on a project related to SEO; I need to write an optimization tool, so I'm writing an application using C# and Windows Forms. The main part of the application is for keyword selection, and I want to use the Google AdWords API to obtain a list of keywords.
I downloaded the C# client library, but can't understand how to set up the project: I am getting the error:
"An API exception has occurred. See ApiExecption and InnerException fields for more details".
Maybe I have made a mistake when I edited the App.config file as I haven't changed anything else. Can anyone advise me where I should begin? I would be grateful to hear your ideas.
Unfortunatley, the AdWords API isn't as open as you might think: It's meant for ad agencies managing large accounts, or software vendors who want to build ad management platforms. You need to apply to Google for an API key to gain access; they used to give them out to nearly anyone with an account, and it took about 14 days to process the application. However, Google has got very strict about their terms and conditions over the past 12 months, and to put it simply, you probably won't meet them if you're building an SEO tool; even if you apply to build a full platform, you'll need to wait six to ten weeks for approval as they've got a huge backlog of applications to process at the moment.
As this is just a student project, you should actually be able to get away with just using the AdWords API sandbox, which is open to anyone with a Google account. This won't give you real keywords or stats, but would demonstrate your understanding of the platform.
Another option would be to check out the Ad Intelligence Service of the adCenter API; you'd still need to open an adCenter account (with a $5 activation fee), but you should be able to get an adCenter API key without waiting too long. The stats available from Microsoft won't be as extensive as what Google has to offer, but will still be relevant to the at least the US market. Also, being Microsoft, they've got a good range of C# examples.
You could use the sandbox, but it is good only for testing purposes. You won't get real values for traffic estimation and keyword ideas.
To use the sandbox, what you need is a Google account (your gmail account for instance). To initialize the sandbox,
In your App.config, put email/password/developerToken as your email / your password / youremail++USD (e.g. john.doe#gmail.com++USD)
Run the GetCampaigns.cs code example. It is under v201109/BasicOperations folder in the C# examples project. This will initialize the sandbox.
Run the GetAccountHierarchy.cs code example. It is under v201109/AccountManagement folder. This will give you 5 client emails and their customer ids.
Use one of these customerIds in the ClientCustomerId field of App.config.
Run any other code example.
The video is a bit outdated, due to recent changes in AdWords API, I need to update it.
you can find a very good article series about adwords api there: Google Adwords API
it is not that hard to learn how to use it! I think the API itself is very good documented and there is a good suppo from google.

WorldPay Integration

I have been asked to set up a demo site which calls out to WorldPay to authorise transactions.
We won't have a MerchantID or anything like that yet, is there a dummy service that you can call that is either on the internet at-large, or is downloadable and you can install locally?
I've obviously had a look around and so far come up with nothing - it's a straightforward answer so wondering if anyone on here knows off the top of their head?
Thanks
Was a few years ago but as far as I remember:
If you (or your client) are going to be signing up with Worldpay then they provide both live and test accounts.
I seem to remember that you have to put a successful transaction through the test account before they will activate the live one for you.
Thier support dept used to be very helpful so I'd suggest just giving them a ring
It's in their interests to get you up and running so they can start charging you for it
