Objective: Open Chemdraw using the ACCESS image control (Type: CS Chemdraw Drawing). I can use this picture control when the computer activates Chembiooffice2014. When a computer activates Chemoffice2021, the picture control is prompted error:There are problems when Microsoft Access and Ole server or ActiveX control communication。Close the OLE server and restart the outside of Microsoft Access. Then re -do the operation just now in Microsoft Access.
The preliminary positioning problem may be that some component Chemoffice2021 contained in Chembioffice2014 is not available, which makes it impossible to use the ACCESS picture control (CS Chemdraw Drawing)

I want to be able to drag and drop files into a custom user form in my Outlook VBA macro. My searching has come up with many solutions all requiring "Microsoft Windows Common Controls 6.0" which is not available as a reference on my network.
Is there a way to do it without this reference library?
Thanks for the responses - I actually managed to reference 'Microsoft Windows Common Controls 6.0" by adding the reference directly to the MSCOMCTL.OSX file which was already installed.
For the past few months, I have been developing a VBA software that uses the ActiveX Treeview control. I had no issues with using the control until today when suddenly I get the following error:
You don't have the license required to use this ActiveX control.
You tried to open a form containing an OLE object or an ActiveX control or you tried to create an ActiveX control. To obtain the appropriate license, contact the company that provides the licensed OLE object or ActiveX control.
How does one go about getting and using the license for these controls?
This is a known bug caused by an update of the CommonControl control.
It will be fixed as noted here with an upcoming update.
I've created one user control which has got a TextBox, a DataGridView, etc. When I try to drop the user control on the form I get this error:
Can anyone help me?
It seems you've added a database connection through the designer. When you add the user control to a form it then tries to establish that connection, but doing so is usually not possible at design-time.
Instead, remove the connection you created through the designer and connect via code in the user control's Load event.
I want to load a JPEG or any kind of picture file from a database into an activeX control on a user form. I want the picture to resize to that of the activeX image control. There are a lot of times when I've used ActiveX controls:Filepreview where they sometimes need to be re-size because it is open larger once they've been clicked. How can I do this in VBA?
My objective is to find .ocx file which is using activeX control for image or picture to apply my project and then register it to the VBA finally find method or function resizing picture. On the form and be able to resize them when I choose one.
thanks in advance
If you just want to add an ActiveX to your project;
- Right-Click on free space of Toolbox;
- Select Additional Controls ...;
- From Available controls select your own;
If your favorite ActiveX not found in list, run this command line:
regsvr32 <file path and name>.ocx
After re-entering it should be added to list.
I am currently building custom user controls and would like to have a program (that I write) that sets the properties for the control when it is dragged onto the form.
I've seen this working with some controls I've been using - an external program opens (or is available by right clicking on the control).
How is this accomplished?
Edit: An example of an application I use that does this is Farpoint Spread Designer; You can right click on the component and launch the designer application.
