Import CSS in NuxtJs3 How should it look like - vue.js

this is my current nuxt.config file
(this how tailwind to nuxtjs should do it)
and it gives me this error.
and weird enought, if I comment either of
line 5
"css: ["~/assets/css/tailwind.css"],"
or
line 17
"tailwindcss: {},"
the nuxtjs3 documentation didn't tell about this error.
why it behaves that way,
there is also discussion on github but need additional details.
there's this on nuxtjs3 doc, this is for nuxt modules "npx nuxi init -t module my-module"
I used the quick setup of Nuxtjs3

Tailwind CSS warning: No utility classes were detected in your source files

I make a vue project using this documentation: https://vuejs.org/guide/quick-start.html#creating-a-vue-application
And I wanted to added tailwind css to this project. So I used this guide (from point 2 Install Tailwind CSS): https://tailwindcss.com/docs/guides/vite#vue
But, I see no changes and get this warning:
warn - No utility classes were detected in your source files. If this is unexpected, double-check the `content` option in your Tailwind CSS configuration.
warn - https://tailwindcss.com/docs/content-configuration
I followed the instuction as it is.
I tried following the content-configuration and I double checked it to see all files in place.
I was expecting tailwind.config.cjs file should be generated but instead tailwind.config.js is generated.
Updates:
On repeating all the steps using this link: https://tailwindcss.com/docs/guides/vite#vue
At step 4:
Add the Tailwind directives to your CSS, When I replace the content for style.css as asked in the step.. Exactly after this point, the error is shown.
Fixed.. Asking in the discord community this was the response:
Thank you for supplying a remotely-hosted repository. It seems to work
fine for me, it could be that you're suffering from a bug that this PR
solves: https://github.com/tailwindlabs/tailwindcss/pull/9650. You
could temporarily try insiders version and see if that fixes it for
you
npm install tailwindcss#insiders
I just gave solution to the same problem. You might have the same...
I had my tailwind.config.js like this:
module.exports = {
content: ["./src**/**/*.{html,js}"],
},
...and I changed the destination folder from "src" to "public", and it worked for me.
Like this:
module.exports = {
content: ["./public/**/*.{html,js}"],
},
Hope this will help you. Good luck and happy coding !

vitetest: Failed to resolve import "$lib/stores/store"

tried running tests with vitest and it can seem to resolve dependencies from $lib/* and $app/* this is the error, Failed to resolve import "$lib/stores/store" from "src/lib/components/Hello.svelte". Does the file exist? here is the link to the playground https://gitlab.com/paulwvnjohi/hello-vitest
It seems Vitest is NOT automatically picking up your Vite config, since it's "hidden" in svelte.config.js and I'm sure there's tons of magic stuff SvelteKit adds, such as the resolve.alias paths for things like the $lib and $app imports to work.
I don't know if Vitest core would do something automatically in the future, but now there's the vitest-svelte-kit package you can use: https://github.com/nickbreaton/vitest-svelte-kit
Install the package:
npm i -D vitest-svelte-kit
Create a file vitest.config.js and put inside the method that magically extracts the correct vite config for you, according to your settings in svelte.config.js:
// vitest.config.js
import { extractFromSvelteConfig } from "vitest-svelte-kit"
export default extractFromSvelteConfig()
Worked for me!

How to run ui testing?

I get an error when I start testing the application:
Jest encountered an unexpected token
This usually means that you are trying to import a file which Jest cannot parse, e.g. it's not plain JavaScript.
By default, if Jest sees a Babel config, it will use that to transform your files, ignoring "node_modules".
Here's what you can do:
...
You'll find more details and examples of these config options in the docs:
https://jestjs.io/docs/en/configuration.html
Details:
/home/mmvs/Desktop/ReactNative/node_modules/react-navigation/src/index.js:1
({"Object.<anonymous>":function(module,exports,require,__dirname,__filename,global,jest){export * from '#react-navigation/core';
How to solve this error?
You need to add moduleNameMapper in package.json
look at this link : https://jestjs.io/docs/en/webpack#handling-static-assets

ES6 import and npm packages

Anyone got a link to documentation explaining exactly how ES6 import is supposed to work with npm packages (as opposed to javascript module files) ?
Also (and possibly related) a link to documentation on the use/significance of "module" as a top-level key in an npm package.json file ?
Eg. consider the following from juggle/resize-observer ;
package.json
{
...
"module": "lib/exports/resize-observer.js",
...
}
consumer javascript file
import { ResizeObserver } from '#juggle/resize-observer';
On the above import Chrome sends a request to the server for '#juggle/resize-observer' which is a directory..... so what happens next ? (I don't have a working instance of this and my server doesn't return anything yet as I don't know what it's supposed to / in what format ). Is this syntax only for use with some sort of build tool where it ultimately gets replaced with the actual file ?
I have looked at the npm site/googled and cannot find any relevant documentation.
UPDATE Still waiting for a link to relevant documentation (no relevant Google results at this time) but for anyone asking the same question: apparently you need your server to do "module resolution" . Alternatively you can use Snowpack or a bundler eg. Webpack.
Apparently npm/node packages are not packaged with browsers in mind or based on any W3C/Web Modules standard specification.
See here for module resolution info.
So at present to use an npm package in a browser you must do one of the following
use a bundler like webpack
use snowpack
use a CDN which resolves the module request
implement npm module resolution in your own server
Find the package entry point and use that in your ES6 import statement.
However, if the package's json "main" property changes in a subsequent update you
will need to update your code to reflect this.

How to fix relative module error for a newly created nuxt.js app with starter template?

I tried to create a nuxt app with the guide from the official website, chose default options because I wanted the starter template but on running npm run dev, I keep encountering the error:
This relative module was not found:
* ./components/nuxt-error.vue in ./.nuxt/index.js
I've tried searching about it but I couldn't find any useful resource/fix. I've also tried vue init nuxt-community/starter-template for the installation but I still get the same error.
Any fixes?
So I found a solution. I couldn’t figure out the error because the nuxt-error.vue file was actually imported correctly. Turns out “npm” installations have been giving me issues (had issues with TailwindCSS too).
So if you ever encounter this error on loading the base nuxt app, recreate the project using “yarn” instead. Works like magic!
This Error basically means, that in one of your files you are trying to import another file with the relative path of ./components/nuxt-error.vue but no file with this path exists.
However
I just read that vue init nuxt-community/starter-template is deprecated and no longer maintained. Instead of fixing this Error you should restart your project with npx create-nuxt-app <yourAppName>. https://github.com/nuxt-community/starter-template
