React Native pod install failed on Apple Silicon (M1)

I got my new Macbook Pro which has M1 chip.
I tried to run my react native project but stucked on pod install.
After that, I created an empty project and tried on that still getting the same error.

After I make research about this topic I found several solutions but still my problem is not solved.
I already tried to install
sudo gem install ffi
and then tried pod install again. Still getting same error.
After that according to my research some people said to use terminal with rosetta or the another way to rosetta,
sudo arch -x86_64 gem install ffi
arch -x86_64 pod install
with these Intel based installation try I'm getting below error:
Analyzing dependencies
Fetching podspec for `DoubleConversion` from `../node_modules/react-native/third-party-podspecs/DoubleConversion.podspec`
Fetching podspec for `Folly` from `../node_modules/react-native/third-party-podspecs/Folly.podspec`

Did somebody faced with this problem? What I'm doing wrong or what I need to do to run my project?
for homebrew users
step 1 brew install cocoapods
step 2 sudo arch -x86_64 gem install ffi
step 3 arch -x86_64 pod install
fixed my issue
My problem with ffi resolved with just brew install cocoapods =)
Firstly I tried to install from bundler and there was a specific old version of cocoapods which didn't support m1 yet; then I used brew and now with the latest cocoapods it works fine
This resource helped me: https://www.lopau.com/error-running-cocoapod-pod-install-on-big-sur-with-ffi/
Run sudo gem inst ffi -- --disable-system-libffi
My problem was installing cocoapods with gem (which most tutorials online will tell you). Try uninstalling cocoapods with the following command:
gem uninstall cocoapods
Then install it again using brew
brew install cocoapods
homebrew installed the arm64 version, while gem seems to default to something else.
I realized that homebrew installation messed up cocoapods.
Simply, I uninstalled homebrew and start from beginning. Then it worked.
this worked for me: (M1 Pro)
arch -x86_64 sudo gem install cocoapods
arch -x86_64 pod repo update
arch -x86_64 pod install
sources: https://github.com/CocoaPods/CocoaPods/issues/10349
I faced the same issue on M1 chip MacBook. Finally did the below
In rosetta terminal :
-- sudo rm -rf ~/.cocoapods/repos
Inside iOS folder
pod install
the solution for me was to init the app like this
arch -x86_64 npx react-native init awsomeproject
Install the latest version of Xcode from App Store, and then run these two commands in the Terminal:
sudo xcode-select --switch /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer
sudo xcodebuild -runFirstLaunch
In my case the problem was that CocoaPod flipper was out of date. The change in the pod file from
use_flipper()!
to
use_flipper!({ 'Flipper' => '0.95.0', 'Flipper-Folly' => '2.6.7', 'Flipper-RSocket' => '1.4.3', 'Flipper-DoubleConversion' => '3.1.7', 'Flipper-Glog' => '0.3.9', 'Flipper-PeerTalk' => '0.0.4' })
helped me.
Mac M1 architecture is not directly compatible with Cocoapods. If you encounter issues when installing pods, you can solve it by running:
sudo arch -x86_64 gem install ffi
arch -x86_64 pod install
These commands install the ffi package, to load dynamically-linked libraries and let you run the pod install properly, and runs pod install with the proper architecture.
For me, this command worked
arch -x86_64 pod install

Unable to install Cocoapods on Yosemite DP 7

I am having trouble installing Cocoapods on Yosemite DP 7 installed on a separate partition. I already attempted following the instructions found on Cocoapods with Xcode 6 and 10.10 Yosemite and in the issue(https://github.com/CocoaPods/CocoaPods/issues/2219) closed due to the same solution proposed on the Stack Overflow link.
I continue to get the following error:

I am suspecting that this may have to do with the fact that I have Yosemite on a separate partition, but otherwise I am clueless.
I ran into the same issue. After much hair pulling following the same steps as everyone else, the following worked.
$ xcode-select --install (to confirm command line tools are installed)
Installed nvm stable (and homebrew): $ \curl -sSL https://get.rvm.io | bash -s stable
close/reopen terminal
Installed ruby 2.1.2: $ rvm install 2.1
Switch to it: $ rvm use 2.1
Uninstall/reinstall xcodeproj and cocoapods
Xcode 6.0 GM is missing the 10.10 SDK and therefore the gem xcodeproj can't be compiled which has some C code in it which needs the 10.10 SDK.
This is going to be fixed in the future.
For now you can work around it like this:
Terminal: sudo gem uninstall cocoapods xcodeproj
Download Xcode 6.1 (right now Beta 2 is the current one)
Start it go to Settings -> Location -> Command Line Tools -> Change to Xcode 6.1 Beta
Terminal: sudo gem install cocoapods
Change your Command Line tools back to GM (if you want/need)

Is the current Rails 3.0.5 and Bundler dependency set wrong?

On Windows 7 with Ruby 1.9.2-p180 and Rails 3.0.5 installed, if I
rails new trytry
cd trytry
bundle install
it will show
C:\ror\trytry>bundle install

only after a
gem install bundler
or probably a
gem update bundler
then the bundle install will work. So looks like the Rails 3.0.5 needs a newer bundler which was not listed correctly in the dependency? Otherwise when I gem install rails for 3.0.5, it should have updated bundler as well, is that right?
You've got an older version of Bundler installed, you will need to run gem install bundler to update it to the latest version.
Rails depends on a version of Bundler matching the dependency version of ~> 1.0. If you've got a version of Bundler installed, such as 1.0.0, the process of gem install rails sees this dependency is matched already and so won't update Bundler. Therefore, you need to run gem install bundler to update it to the latest version.
