Pivot4j does not install on my pentaho 9.3.0.0 server - pentaho

I hope you are doing well. I am using the Pentaho BI server version 9.3.0.0 on my Windows 10 x64 bit. I want to use Pivot4j to browse my OLAP cube that I created with workbench. When I click in the UI menu bar on File->New, Pivot4j does not exist in the list as you see in screenshot1 above enter image description here. Then I proceeded to download it but I can't install it on my server. Here is the screenshot2 enter image description here of the error that is showing. Please help me to install it because I am newbie with this tool, and really I need it. Thank you in advance.

How to run Pentaho console on linux from localhost:port/pentaho?

I am trying to use pentaho which I downloaded from sourceforge (pentaho files). I run the schema-workbench shell correctly and a window opens with the interface, but I still haven't been able to connect to the admin console on http://localhost:8080/pentaho.
Any ideas on which this doesn't seem to work for me?
Best regards
You have a start-pentaho.sh which launches (after a long the first time) the pentaho server on port 8080.
That is, if you have downloaded the correct package, because Pentaho contains many packages: one is the server, another one is the client-tools which contains the schema-workbench as well as the pdi (Pentaho Data Integrator), and the prd (Pentaho Report Designer) as well as few others.
You are running the wrong file. To open the pentaho console, you need to download the PNTAHO SERVER and run 'start-pentaho.sh'
Pentaho by default will start PuC Pentaho USer Console on http://localhost:8080/pentaho once server is up and running. For getting the data integration i.e Spoon interface go to
For Windows : Pentaho install directory>> design-tools>> data-integration>>spoon.bat
For Linux/Mac:Pentaho install directory>> design-tools>> data-integration>>spoon.sh
I hope this helps.

pivot4j plugin not working properly with pentaho 6.0

I used the marketplace to install pivot4j plugin in pentaho biserver-ce-6.1.0.1-196.
It installed the pivot4j-pentaho-1.0-SNAPSHOT version of the plugin. It is not a stable version. I am using ubuntu 12.04 OS.
Now the problem is that when I try to create a new pivot4j view, it just opens a blank view and no option is displayed. It does not ask for the catalog and the cube name as it ideally should.
I tried to use the stable version pivot4j-pentaho-0.9-plugin but with this, the option to create a new pivot4j view is itself not available. Here is the a screenshot of the pivot4j view diplayed by using the SNAPSHOT version:
Is there a method to load this view with a cube or is it an installation problem?
I am not sure as to what information will be relevant regarding this problem as I am new to pentaho and pivot4j .So let me know, I will update my question with the appropriate info.
I had this error. I checked the error log biserver-ce/tomcat/logs/pentaho.log and I found there is problem in my Schema. After I corrected the schema, it works.

Pentaho/Pivot4j - Failed to retrieve cube list

I'm doing a course from Coursera of Data Warehouse and I'm facing some problems with Pivot4j plugin.
There is a word document explaining how to install Pentaho. I've followed all the instructions, some of them are:
Install Java Runtime Environment (JRE7)
Download Pentaho BI Plugin stable release 0.9 (pivot4j-pentaho-0.9-plugin.zip).
I've started the web interface for the Pentaho BI server in my browser and navigate to the address http://localhost:8080/ after that I logged as administrator and everything was working properly. I clicked on Create new > Pivot4j View and a new screen appeared to me select the catalog and the cube. However when I select any catalog option the system return an error as showed in the image below:
I really appreciate any help.

Have you tried to install the version 1.0-snapshot instead of the v0.9?

Pentaho Demo Graphs or Charts

Recently had a project in JBoss but want to move to Pentaho (JBoss kept crashing). JBoss was good because it showed you sample data and various types of results when you installed it. When I installed Pentaho, it is like a clean slate and I do not see a demo feature that I can install and see how data is displayed.
Is there a link that anyone can point me to in order to look at sample data being generated into charts or graphs in Pentaho? I already have the common plugins installed - CDE, CDA, CDF, and CGG.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There are samples in the /public/Steel Wheels folder.
If you install the CE version, you'll also get a lot of samples in /public/Plugin Samples.
Log in to PUC as admin and go to the explore files perspective. You should see them there.
Below is a very simple CDE tutorial I wrote. It uses screen shots from version 5.x but you could also use it for version 6.0 (they are similar). Nothing fancy though: http://holowczak.com/getting-started-with-pentaho-community-edition-dashboard-editor-cde/

Creating a dashboard portal which will give a good interactive OLAP view to the user

I have a requirement as to create cubesbased on some fact and dimension tables and then publishing it in localhost. There will be a portal where user can login and can see the charts and can do slice and dice and can add filters and able to see the reports.
I have downloaded Pentaho BI server CE 5.2.0 version for publishing
and
Pentaho Schema Workbench 3.9.0 for creating cubes.
I was working in JPivot and created some sample cubes and published successfully in localhost. But it is not giving that drag and drop features.
I wanted to know how to install SAIKU Analytics(as i believe drag and drop features are present there) in Windows system for Community version and also how to create the dashboard/Portal(by which Ctool) consisting of multiple charts where user can select filter and based on it the charts will populate.
Also the dashboard can give a good UI experience to the user
I am an ETL developer and am new to this Pentaho OLAP designing. Please help me on this
For Saiku, you can install it with the marketplace from Pentaho menu.
It will download the plugin and install it under the directory
biserver-ce/pentaho-solutions/system/saiku
Then, you will have to restart your server.
For the Ctools, you can find tutorials on the web and look for the documentation ; see for example http://www.webdetails.pt/ and the community forum :
