Hello, I have a question about Google sheet API quota - google-sheets-api

First, I'd like to say truly thank you for all your services.
What I want to ask about Google sheet API quota is about "request per user".
Presently, I am managing a web app for educational calculation built with flutter framework and I successfully connected the app and google sheet with API service. Technically, the app is using one API key, however many other students are using the app same time in classroom. So, here is the point. Does the user in "request per user" mean API key? or each device? If it is the API key, quota is not enough. If it means each device, I guess the quota is sufficient for my case.
Your reply would be very appreciated, thank you in advance:)

How to integrate Google business messaging through API

Problems:
I am unable to enable Business Messages API, Because "Business Messages API" is not showing API list, While i am going to enable the API through the
https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard
I want to use auth token, while hitting the API, but the document is saying use the service.json for the credentials. i am following these doc. I am using "Google\Client()" with Laravel application.
https://developers.google.com/business-communications/business-messages/guides/how-to/agents?method=api
I am following these steps:
Login with google business account in the Dashboard
App taking multiple permissions as I have attached the permissions list and taking the auth token.
Open the chat box for the Business.
So please guide me, where i am going wrong. What is correct way to implement this.
Requirement:
I want to create a custom chat box for google businesses, Where business owner will login into the web app and He can easily manage the multiple business chats in one dashboard.
As per your given information, you have to be a partner of Google. As per google documentation, you need to be a partner of google and then you can create the agent and can send and receive messages. You can integrate the business messages API by following this documentation:
https://developers.google.com/business-communications/business-messages/guides
In this process, you need to be a partner of Google. The complete process is given on the link. If you follow this link, then you can use their built-in libraries easily and can send messages easily.
So far the permission for API, it might not be found for you because you might have to take permission for the particular project that is registered on google and then you will see the business messages API and you can enable it and use it. The reason as per the basic step:
https://developers.google.com/my-business/content/basic-setup
Sometimes, you have to submit the request form to take the API access for particular APIs. Or Share how are you using that API.
If you do not find a form for business messages API then you can ask for the information from bm-support#google.com. they mostly respond on a working day.

How to obtain an Edmunds API key?

This is my first attempt to use an API. I followed the instructions for registering for an Edmunds API (http://developer.edmunds.com/).
I registered for an account, got an email from them to confirm, clicked on that link, and got a request to register my application, which I filled out.
But when I log into my account and click on "keys", all I get is the message "You don't have any keys yet".
What am I missing? Thanks in advance.
Here is the email response I got from Edmunds:
Joe,
Thank you for your interest in the Edmunds Open API Program.
Unfortunately, we are in the process of retiring our Open API Program. Therefore, we are unable to issue you an API key at this time.
Regards,
Edmunds
UPDATE
The Edmunds API has been shutdown.
I would like to also recommend this website, it contains a list of the latest car information/database APIs.
I can't remember exactly how I created mine, I believe I created my dev account and then received an api key link via email. I clicked the link and it took me to a page where I could setup my app and receive an api key. You should have received said email by now.
If that doesn't work then try emailing: api#edmunds.com
An alternative to Edmunds API would be Marketcheck Cars API
The developer portal is given here with Comprehensive API documentation
The APIs supported are
Inventory Search API
VIN History API
Dealers API
VIN Decoder API
CRM Cleanse API
and lots more APIs coming up like - Market APIs with active and historical market averages, trends, dealer sales stats, dealer ranking, deal ranking, total cost to own, car market values (like Edmunds TMV) coming up

Instagram API app after june 1 2016

The Instagram new API policy have become super strict. They are not allowing fetching public content at all. We are literally following all Instagram policies and still cant get approval of public_content.
Is there any workaround or any possibility of fetching the data.
This is the response that I have recieved from instagram
General issues:
Policy Violation (Ad network, Influencer network, Other related): Your
app should not attempt to build an ad network on Instagram, nor
transfer any data that you receive from us (including anonymous,
aggregate, or derived data) to any ad network, data broker, influencer
network, or other advertising or monetization-related service. In
working to build a high quality platform, we ask that you comply with
our Platform Policy
(http://wwww.instagram.com/about/legal/terms/api/).
Yeah, they now grant permissions only to applications with some specific usage cases.
According to Instagram official website, these are:
To help individuals share their own content with 3rd party apps
To help brands and advertisers understand and manage their audience and digital media rights
To help broadcasters and publishers discover content, get digital rights to media, and share media with proper attribution
Note that in order to get public_content permission, you need to fall under the 2nd or the 3rd use case. Otherwise, consider changing your application / service in such way that is now uses basic permission and acquires only your users' media.
There is no valid and legal possibility to fetch public data except for successful passing the Instagram permission review.
This official developer documentation page may be useful to you.
You need to enable scopes invividually for your client https://api.instagram.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=CLIENT_ID&redirect_uri=APPC‌ALLBACK&access_token=ACCESSTOKEN&response_type=code&scope=public_content in your browser, using your values for the uppercase words? This should enable your registered client to work with the public_content scope.
https://api.instagram.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=xxxxx&redirect_uri=xxxxx&access_token=xxxxx&response_type=code&scope=public_content
your comment
Read the error message, did you supply a valid client-id from your instagram developer account. Did you setup a redirect_uri for that client? Do you authenticate to instagram to get an access token?
This worked for me this weekend. Double check the values you set in the url and call it directly in your browser.

Instagram API Error: Client request limit reached

I am getting this error whenever I try to follow someone on Instagram via API no matter how many follows have been done before:
{"meta":{"error_type":"APIError","code":400,"error_message":"Client request limit reached"}}
My app allows authenticated users to follow interesting people. I know that there is a 5000 call/hour limit per authenticated user, but it fails even with new users.
Do my app is reaching some kind of client level limit?
APIs like follow, unfollow, comment are limited to 350 requests per hour. However sending requests from client side will fix this problem to some extent but it allows the users to see your API token.
In this case it looks like it would be beneficial to get some more data from your users. You could use Google analytics to track the "follow" action
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/eventTrackerGuide
This would give you a timestamp and information about user behavior.
Even with an advertised rate of X requests per hour, one user hammering the service with your API key can cause everyone to get throttled. (Not guaranteed, but pretty common practice for companies to keep their services alive)
It might be a good idea to reset your API, its possible (though unlikely) that someone has acquired your key and is using it.

Can the Yodlee API be used to retrieve the transactions on any credit card?

A client I work with wants to know if it's possible to use the Yodlee API to look up recent transactions on any credit card.
They'd like it to work without the user needing to be signed up with Yodlee, either directly at the site, or indirectly through a branded partner.
I assume this would be possible if the credit card company itself shared it's transaction data with Yodlee directly, and made it available to their API customers, but I haven't been able to figure this out from the docs available on their website, and haven't been able to reach anyone at Yodlee themselves to ask.
I work for Yodlee. Sorry to hear you're having a hard time getting a hold of us. To answer your question, yes the user has to explicitly authorize any application that leverages the Yodlee API and explicitly add access to their financial accounts for that application.
Best,
Grace
Yodlee screenscrapes websites to retrieve it's information.
Which means that they physically (but in an automated fashion) visit the website in a browser (IE8). Thus to pull any information down they have to visit the website, log in successfully, (optionally but more so on more banks; authenticate the computer) and then they can see all of the information that the user sees. Their API acts as a real time bridge between you (the end user using your website or app) and this browser.
So you have to either implement their very much so convoluted Yodlee API or use one of their generic hosted pages and direct the user to it where upon he/she enters the necessary information. You also have to have an agreement with them too. You also have to convince the user to do it :)
