v-checkbox with svg icon from local - vue.js

How can I use the svg icons in my locale in the on-icon event of v-checkbox?
v-checkbox.mx-0.mt-2.mb-md-16(color='#FF3C00' :on-icon="'../assets/ıcon/bell.svg'" :off-icon="'mdi-checkbox-blank-outline'" )

You can use your class with svg background like this
.icon-checkbox-on {
background-image: url(some-on.svg)
}
.icon-checkbox-off {
background-image: url(some-off.svg)
}
And type this class into props
<v-checkbox
off-icon="icon-checkbox-off"
on-icon="icon-checkbox-on">
</v-checkbox>
It works for me.

Having background on button when clicked on but not hovering vuejs

Explanation
I have an icon in a button that when clicked opens a menu.
If I want to get the menu correctly under button I need to change the height, because there doesn't seem to be another option (margin doesn't work). But then I get A background hover effect while not hovering over the button.
So to understand.
Once I click on the button but don't hover over the button I get the effect.
The shape is because I changed the height en width.
Background-color: transparant !important; Doens't work
This is the component file
<template>
<v-menu
:close-on-click="true"
offset-y
transition="slide-y-transition"
v-model="language_menu_open"
return-value="language_menu_open = false">
<template v-slot:activator="{ on }">
<v-btn
v-on="on"
v-ripple="false"
icon
depressed
class="language-button">
<v-icon>{{functionMenu(language_menu_open)}}</v-icon>
<v-icon style="margin-right: 10px !important;">mdi-web</v-icon>
</v-btn>
</template>
<v-list class="language-dropdown">
<v-list-item
v-for="language in languages"
:key="language.title"
v-ripple="false"
#click="language">
<v-list-item-title>{{language.title}}</v-list-item-title>
</v-list-item>
</v-list>
</v-menu>
</template>
<script>
export default {
name: "Languages",
data() {
return {
language_menu_open: false,
languages: [
{title: "Nederlands"},
{title: "English"},
{title: "Deutsch"}
],
functionMenu: function chevronChanger(menu_state) {
if (menu_state) {
return "mdi-chevron-up"
} else {
return "mdi-chevron-down"
}
}
}
}
}
</script>
<style scoped>
.language-button {
height: 45px !important;
width: 25px !important;
background-color: transparent !important;
}
.language-button:hover {
background-color: transparent !important;
}
.language-button:hover:before {
background-color: transparent !important;
display: none !important;
}
.language-dropdown {
padding: 0 !important;
}
.language-dropdown:hover:before {
background-color: transparent !important;
display: none;
}
</style>
Any help would be appreciated.
You stated that your primary goal is correct positioning of the menu below the button. Instead of changing the height/width of the button, you should use the nudge-top, nudge-bottom, nudge-right, and/or nudge-left props of the v-menu component. These allow you to precisely tune the positioning of the menu. For example, if you want to move the menu down (further below the button), set the nudge-bottom prop to the number of pixels you want it to move. See documentation here. Using this approach, you don't need to modify the hover effect of your button, which will result in a better user experience.
Also, there is one portion of your template that is inefficient. For one of the icons, you have {{functionMenu(language_menu_open)}}. If possible, you should not use methods in a template except as event handlers, because methods break Vue's reactivity engine. In this case, it would be much better to define a computed property, like this:
computed: {
buttonChevron: function() {
if (this.language_menu_open) {
return "mdi-chevron-up"
} else {
return "mdi-chevron-down"
}
}
}
Then, in your template, instead of {{functionMenu(language_menu_open)}}, use {{ buttonChevron }}. This will have the same effect as your current function, but Vue will handle the changes much more efficiently. (In this particular component, the change will be negligible, but it's a good habit to build.) You can read more about computed properties here.
Try This:
.language-button:active {
background-color: transparent !important;
}

Customize TextInput Label of the react-native-paper in the case of React Native Web

I'm working with the React Native Web and React Native Paper library with Styled Components. Basically I would like to customize the TextInput inner components: Label and html input
The questions are:
1) How to change Label styles? eg. width\size\color, etc. ?
2) How to change html input styles? I want to set outline: none to prevent the blue border show on focus in the case of browser.
I understand that in the case of native we don't have html and the native-web transpiles it.
And I can't understand how to catch the nested label component to change its styles. Because I want to show gray label when non-filled, violet when filled and the Input text should be black.
In the case of the web, it's trivial but in the case of native, I don't know how to handle it.
So is that possible at all?
Thanks for any help. Here is the code example
import React from 'react';
import {
View,
Platform,
} from 'react-native';
import {
TextInput as NativePaperInput,
withTheme,
} from 'react-native-paper';
import styled from 'styled-components/native';
const NativePaperInputThemed = withTheme(NativePaperInput);
export const TextInputStyled = styled(NativePaperInputThemed)`
${(props: any) => {
return `
outline: none; // doesn't work
input: { outline: none; } // doesn't work
& input: { outline: none; } // doesn't work
// Label change style ?
color: ${props.theme.theme10x.palette.typography.placeholder}; // doesn't work
border-color: '#f92a2a8a'; // doesn't work
height: 52px;
`;
}
}
`;
P.S. Basically even colors and fontFamily doesn't work somehow
label={<Text style={{fontSize: 20}}>{t('PersonalDetailsYuvitalOrg:editInput.firstName')}</Text>}
Some guy tried to change label style manually, the maintainer reponse:
You can pass fontSize via style prop. However it will affect both
label and input text. There is no way to change only one of them.
https://github.com/callstack/react-native-paper/issues/1505
You can pass a component for the label prop. For Example:
export const Input = styled(TextInput).attrs({
dense: true,
activeUnderlineColor: theme.colors.ui.blueDark,
label: <Text style={{fontSize: 50}}>My Custom Label</Text>
})`
width: 100%;
height: 50px;
font-size: 16px;
`
However, I have not looked for a way to control the scale when the animation occurs.

How to replace default Quill.js dropdown.svg with Font Awesome icon?

Background
We are currently using vue-quill-editor vue-quill-editor to integrate a text editor into a Vue.js app.
As we are using Font Awesome in the app, I have replaced each default toolbar icon with the Font Awesome equivalent.
main.js
import VueQuillEditor from 'vue-quill-editor';
import Quill from 'quill';
import 'quill/dist/quill.core.css';
import 'quill/dist/quill.snow.css';
import '#/assets/scss/main.scss';
const icons = Quill.import('ui/icons');
icons['bold'] = '<i class="fa fa-bold" aria-hidden="true"></i>';
icons['italic'] = '<i class="fa fa-italic" aria-hidden="true"></i>';
The only icon that I have not been able to change in this way is the picker/dropdown icon, as it is not in icons.js.
Question
What is the best way to replace the default picker/dropdown icon with a Font Awesome equivalent ( e.g., <i class="fa fa-chevron-down" aria-hidden="true"></i>)?
Thanks!
Thanks for the above solution, Patel.
As it happens, I came up with a simpler solution that does not require creating a custom select option.
I just removed the default svg and added the new icon using :after:
.ql-picker-label {
svg {
width: 0px !important;
}
}
.ql-header,
.ql-size {
.ql-picker-label:after {
color: $black !important;
content: '\f078';
font-family: 'FontAwesome';
position: absolute;
top: 1px !important;
right: 0;
}
}
It seems to work pretty well and will, of course, apply to all such elements.
You can't change drop-down directly but yah you can add custom select option and apply style on it.

How to do width transition in Tailwind CSS?

When I try to do a transition using the default "w-#" options in Tailwind, my transitions don't apply. When I hard code in my own classes for width, it works fine. Is there something weird with Tailwinds CSS and how it handles width that would cause this?
Here's the HTML text. The main part here is the dynamic class "sidebarWidth" which switches when the button is clicked. The transition-all, slowest and ease are all things I extended in Tailwind.
<nav class="text-white absolute md:relative flex-col min-h-full bg-black mt-24 md:mt-12 transition-all transition-slowest ease" :class="sidebarWidth">
Here's the JS code in the computed properties of the Vue component
sidebarWidth: function() {
if (this.$store.getters.isSidebarCollapsed) {
return "w-14 invisible md:visible";
} else {
return "w-64";
}
}
If I swap out w-14 and w-64 for the following classes, it works great.
<style scoped>
.width1 {
width: 100px;
}
.width2 {
width: 400px;
}
</style>
I basically want my sidebar nav to slide in when I click a button. In mobile, the sidebar nav is hidden and I want it to slide out. In the desktop, it should be a small nav and then slide out to a full screen nav. It works, but the slide transition doesn't work. Also, the margin change between mobile and desktop does animate properly.
You need to perform a few steps to activate the behaviour you are looking for.
The first one is about extending you Tailwind theme via tailwind.config.js. You need to add the transitionProperty for width.
module.exports = {
...
theme: {
...
extend: {
...
transitionProperty: {
'width': 'width'
},
},
},
}
The changes above create the transition-width class. Simply apply this one to your nav tag. In your specific case you can overwrite the transition-all class.
<nav class="text-white absolute md:relative flex-col min-h-full bg-black mt-24 md:mt-12 transition-width transition-slowest ease" :class="sidebarWidth">
The last step is quite easy: ensure that Tailwind is recreating the CSS. Afterwards you should see a smooth width transition in your project.
Background to the Problem
By default, the width and height transitions are not activated in Tailwind CSS. Here is the CSS that will be applied when using transition class.
transition-property: background-color, border-color, color, fill, stroke, opacity, box-shadow, transform;
transition-timing-function: cubic-bezier(0.4, 0, 0.2, 1);
transition-duration: 150ms;
Like you can see width and height are missing in transition-property.
You can find more information about it in the Tailwind documentation.
You can make your own transition property like in tailwind.config.js :
Multiple properties :
module.exports = {
theme: {
extend: {
transitionProperty: {
multiple: "width , height , backgroundColor , border-radius"
}
}
}
One property :
module.exports = {
theme: {
extend: {
transitionProperty: {
width: "width"
}
}
}
