OneNote local backup schedule - backup

I cannot figure out how the MS Onenote backup works. I have set it to backup locally once a day and the manual backup works. I often work remotely and the computer that performs the backup was on all day but Onenote was not opened on that device yet I used it on my phone and another computer. It has not backed up for a few days.
Does Onenote need to be opened to backup? When does it do the backup? Does OneNote need to be open all day or is just a quick automated open/close at the start of the day enough?
Alternatively, is there an automated way of backing up from Onedrive? I have used cloudsynch (Synology NAS) successfully to backup google drive and can backup the OneNote folders but the backup OneNote folders have no content.

Backup google drive workspace to local server

Automatically backup google drive to local server
Hello,
We use Google Workspace.
I would like to find a way to automatically back up our files to Google on a local server via a cron job.
I know doing a local backup to google drive is possible via rclone.
Would it be possible to use rclone in the direction Google drive -> local server?
Obviously Google offers a way to retrieve the data via https://admin.google.com/ac/customertakeout but that does not correspond to what I want to do. Ideally, I would like to have automatic local backups in case of hacks etc.
Otherwise, maybe only with a python script and the google API, but I can't find anything in the google documentation that explains this.

OneNote local backup

I am looking for an automation with Microsoft Power Automate or other tool, which automatically creates a local backup of a OneNote Notebook or of the Onedrive folder in which the OneNote notebook is inside in a certain interval.
Onenote 2016 ("old" onenote which comes with office 365 but is also available for free) has a built in backuptool which can make a local backup every X hours/days.
You only have to make sure Onenote is always open.

How to share or sync a folder in remote server to Google Drive?

I have a folder in my server which contains daily backup of database and uploads. When I'm uploading this folder, it shows maximum execution problem due to large size of that folder. So I want to share that folder to google drive. Is there any way to share folder?
Based from this forum, it's not possible to sync Google Drive with folders outside of the original Drive folder.
Found this link - I need to sync files and folders outside "Google Drive" folder. which might help.
You can choose any folder during the Google Drive install.
Firstly select "Advanced Setup" on the second page of the Getting
Started screen.
Then click the "Change" button next to Folder Location
Select any folder you want, including network shares and mapped network drives.

Saving Deployment settings between machines when project is stored on mounted drive

I use PHPStorm to manage several applications which are stored on a network mounted drive. Each application has its own "Default Remote Host"s.
I also alternate between the office and home every other day.
Now, everytime I load up a project in PHPStorm, I'm required to review my deployment settings, and set the default remote host back. Along with this, I also have to re-enter the information on the Mappings Tab of the Deployment dialog.
I'd love a way to, well, not have to do this every day.
Any way around this?

dropbox does not sync subfolder anymore?

I noticed one regression(?) recently - I have been using symbolic link in dropbox directory pointing to data directories, something like this - my_dropout_dire/dir1 ====> /path1/data_dir1
There is a directory tree under /path1/data_dir1, whenever there is file update, adding new file or adding new sub directory, I can get auto sync on my other linked computers.
But this stops working recently, since maybe couple weeks back. I have to add a new symbolic link to make it work:
my_dropout_dir/dir1_sub1_sub11 ====> /path1/data_dir1/sub1/sub11
If I do not do this, new files in sub11 is not sync'ed to other computers, and I do not see them on dropbox web repo either.
Does anyone also notice this?
According to Dropbox at this page: https://www.dropbox.com/help/145/en
Junction points and aliases
Dropbox will follow Windows junction points (Windows Vista or later) and sync the files or folders they link to. However, any changes to those files or folders made from the Windows operating system will not sync again until the Dropbox desktop application is restarted. To get around this, move the original folder to your Dropbox and add a junction point from its previous location to link to its new location in the Dropbox folder.
I had junctions too and they were working fine till some days ago, but apparently they were not supposed to.
tl;dr I use Dropbox with Windows symbolic links and junctions. While the Dropbox client does NOT detect any file changes during the day, it checks and syncs subfolders and files when it starts up OR RESUMES.
The files sync under the following conditions:
I restart my laptop EVERY morning, and when Dropbox client auto-starts, it syncs up the subfolders and files.
If I need to sync files during the day, I "pause syncing" in the Dropbox client and immediately resume it - and this syncs up the subfolders/files.
Not the ideal process, but it works.
PS: I've only tried symbolic links with folders on my local machine, not remote machines.
FWIW (as of a few months back) none of the other clients I tried with (Google Drive, Copy) recognized Windows symbolic links and junctions.
Dropbox version: v2.10.52; OS: Windows 8.1
