I m gonna use Navigation Framework with fragments but at the dependency step, when i tried to add SafeArgs from documentation i see that the new top level gradle file is different from documentation so i can't add it. Can you explain how to add SafeArgs to new kotlin top level gradle file ?

Your top level (project level) Gradle file is in Groovy, while the documentation is in KotlinScript. You need to copy and paste the document code in your top level Gradle file with a few changes like below:

Also, consider moving plugins definition to your app level Gradle file.

We have an existing plugin project which configures various things (including static analysis), where we want to apply the plugin to the project itself.
The way this currently works for plugins written in Java is, you add the Java src dir to the buildSrc project, and then classes built there can be used in the main project. So I'm trying to get the same thing working for plugins written as Kotlin scripts.
But when I try to build it, compiling buildSrc fails with:

What's missing in order to make this work?
Further investigation:
If I put a copy of the files in buildSrc/src/main/kotlin, that works.
If I put a copy of the files in buildSrc/src/main/kotlin2 and use srcDirs to set that directory, that fails too. So it really looks like something isn't letting me relocate sources at all.
I pushed a repo to play with this here but what follows is the contents of the build scripts in case it's ever deleted.

I have configured my build.gradle to run gradle test and gradle run properly. However, IDEA does not show any run/test tasks after importing the configuration generated by gradle idea. It seems that these tasks are not included at ipr/iws at all.

I was wondering is there any way to make generated project configurations include these tasks(run/test)? I have also heard people saying Don't use gradle idea, so is it impossible to use gradle idea to implement this?
It is simply not necessary in your case. Just open the build.gradle file with IDEA and everything should be smooth. The idea Gradle plugin is somewhat deprecated. Not officially, but it was created by Gradle team and is not actively developed to adapt to new IDEA versions and features and so on. So if you don't need special customizations, just open the build.gradle with IDEA and you should be good to go.

Update: same thing happens to the spring-boot plugin if I comment out the Kotlin line. It's not just specific to the Kotlin plugin.

For non-core Gradle plugins (those that are not from the org.gradle namespace), you have to use a fully qualified id as well as a version number.
The official Kotlin documentation contains the id to use:

I'm trying to add new module to my application. I successfully added movie-api module (you can see in picture below), but when I try to add another module (client-app), I'm getting error as shown in picture.
