I'm working on a xamarin forms app, using the searchbar tag to create a searchbar. For some reason, once I hit search and there is text in the searchbar, the whole screen gets a grayish tint... i have no clue why this is happening and did not find anything on the internet...
Before Search
After Search
Please halp (•_•)
if you are using an external keyboard or a mirroring software (Vysor) the grayish ton appears after hiting enter.
The same behvior can happen with an Entry. Try using mouse to confirm search.

I am trying to conditionally render an input bar that appears above the keyboard when the user is tying. I do not want to show this input bar unless the user wants to add something. So they tap a button which is supposed to make the component visible and then focus on the input which brings up the keyboard.
This works as expected except when the user first opens the keyboard. Nothing appears. There is an empty view tag as the keyboard comes up but then it disappears and there is nothing. However, once the user starts typing it appears and after that works as expected. I have no idea why it isn’t appearing. If I don’t type anything and dismiss the keyboard you can see it briefly before it goes away as it is supposed to.
I have tried calling the function with async-await and my current syntax. Neither is working and I have been unable to solve this.
Here is a snack that recreates the issue and contains all the relevant code to reproduce the error.

Thank you for your help.
First of all InputAccessoryView exists only on IOS.
I changed conditional rendering flow.

For anyone looking for a cross-platform solution, there is a package:

I'm building a home surveillance system for use in my home and possibly to publish on my blog. However; I've ran into a problem. We only use a mouse for input, and most people use only mouse. So, I needed to build an on-screen keyboard. I got a VBA frame and put a text box, and layed out a load of buttons to make a keyboard. I need help with the code that makes it so that when you press a key it will put that character in the text input box so that the user can see what they are entering. If you know, or could suggest a fix, please reply! Thank you!
im not sure if its the right place to put my question, but i think maybe get an answer here.
the last few days thinking about a way to make μυ work easier.
What I want is to write by hand and convert into text on the computer.
namely when I am on a page with multiple text forms like this im writing now,
when i choose a text form with a pen (like wacom graphic tablet) write on a surface and the automaticaly when i stop or pressing a button the text turn into text in the form.
my title say about wacom because i found bamboo scribe.. if someone uses this please explain me whats can do and if can work for me.
i test myscript. with fullscreen tool wich you can write everywhere on the screen is easiest but when you finish you have to press a button on the program to insert the text in the selected area.
so my question is there any way to press that button with the button placed on stylus pen?
i saw that you can set functions when a button clicked on the wacom tablet or on pen.
i have not bought yet anything because im searching if is out there anything could do what i want better. something made for that particular job
Thanks and sorry for my bad english..
While creating test in vb.net i found it pretty annoying when you start typing and autocompleet changes a class to something similar looking even it is a class you don't want.
Image to illustrate :
In the picture you can see I am trying to setup a controller (this controller does not exist at the moment) so when i press the spacebar i will get DienstControllerFacts.
How do you disable this sort of auto-correction?
I can't see your image, but I think this gives you some keyboard shortcuts for dealing with your issue, and this shows you how to modify the settings.
Did you tried to selecting Common tab instead of All tab in the intellisense window?
I am making a webpage that has different areas that can be clicked on to change the contents.
I want to set it up so that when you click on an area, an openWYSIWYG editor appears in the middle of the screen with the rest of the page greyed out.
I have achieved this except for the positioning of the editor. When you click on a section I have a div with 50% opacity cover the page and a textarea appear in the middle. But when I try to attach the editor to the textarea, it loses it's position and falls behind the div not in front of it like the textarea is.
Can anyone suggest a way of centring the openWYSIWYG editor?
You're looking for Modal positioning. Here's one solution:
http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/#modal-form
Basically, apply the Jquery Dialog to the div that holds your WYSIWYG. Don't forget a submit button.
Just a quick heads up--I went through quite a bit of headache dealing with WYSIWYG editors for client-facing sites a few months back. It seems that clicking the "paste from WORD" button was a very difficult task to figure out. Word-pasted code can wreak havoc on websites, overrunning text fields in the database. I gave it a try on their demo (which also doesn't support webkit based browsers) and the result wasn't pretty. The only two options I found to solve this were to sanitize code on the back end, or to use CKEditor. I chose the latter because it was so easy. Take a look at CK, it's a great piece of free code.
