please help me to solve my issue
With your shown samples, attempts please try following htaccess rules.
Please make sure to place these rules at the top of your htaccess file.
Also make sure to clear your browser cache before testing your URLs.
RewriteEngine ON
##Checking condition and getting matches in variables to be used while redirect in next rule.
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} \s([^?]*)\?slug=(\S+)\s [NC]
RewriteRule ^ %1/%2? [R=301,L]
##Internal rewrite to php file for frontend request:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(?:[^/]*)/(.*)/?$ blog-detail.php?slug=$1 [QSA,L]
JS/CS rewrite/redirect:
You may need to use base tag to fix your js and other relative resources. If you are linking js files using a relative path then the file will obviously get a 404 because its looking for URL path. for example if the URL path is /file/ instead of file.html then your relative resources are loading from /file/ which is not a directory but rewritten html file. To fix this make your links absolute or use base tag. In the header of your webpage add this <base href="/"> so that your relative links can load from the correct location.

I have a htaccess with RewriteRule that if you access my domain it will direct to public folder. See my code below
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^(.*) public/$1 [L]
Now I want to exclude demo directory (www.mydomain.com/demo) from the wildcard.
I try to use this code but didn't work
RewriteRule ^demo($|/) - [L]
and this
RewriteRule /demo/$1 -f
Full htaccess code
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/demo
RewriteRule ^(.*) public/$1 [L]

i saw the screenshot that you got from Gtmetrix, i think that all is alright with you, and those files are externals,so you can't optimize them :) ! Check other recommendations and try to fix them to get a good YSlow Score, Best Regards Bro :)

It works fine. However, when I am working in the backend (www.mywebsite/admin), the cache also applies, which is pretty anoying when updating images and texts.
I have tried this solution at the very bottom of my htaccess file :
htaccess Disable cache if URL contains string?
but my content is still read from the memory cache.
I also tried the "Location" and "LocationMatch" directive, but it creates an Internal Server Error :
<Location /admin>
FileETag None
Header unset ETag
Header set Cache-Control "max-age=0, no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate"
Header set Pragma "no-cache"
Header set Expires "Wed, 11 Jan 1984 05:00:00 GMT"
</Location >
Is there someone who could help on this please ?
Thanks !
<Directory /some/real/path/to/tmp>
Header Set Pragma "no-cache"
Header Set Expires "Thu, 1 Jan 1970 00:00:00 GMT"
Header Set Cache-Control "max-age=0, no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate"
Header Unset ETag
FileETag None
</Directory>
That should works.
I want to make sure I am not over killing my website with all of these htaccess. Can you tell me what is unnecessary or what I am missing?
I added things to improve my gtmetrix score every time it complained and it slowly fixed a lot of issues. But now I have a giant list that I have a feeling could be reduced or optimized somehow

You are not overkilling your apache with Cache parameters.
However some areas like Worker Configuration, removing unwanted modules, Log Level, Keep Alive, HostNameLookup can help you to improve further.
One of the other thing which you can explore if you can have Caching Server like Varnish in front of Apache which would help to reduce Apache overhead and faster response time
I have the following code in my .htaccess file:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} sitetoblock.com [NC]
RewriteRule .* - [F]
Currently it's giving me an error on my site that reads
Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary.
I've found the code several places online telling me it's fine, so what am I doing wrong?
Edit: the rest of the file reads as follows:
