Build Failure for react-native-reanimated - react-native

React-native newbie here.
I am currently using MacBook Air M1 2020 w/ OS 11.6 and I have been encountering an issue with running the simulator after installing react-native-reanimated. Any other installations (e.g #react-navigation/bottom-tabs and #react-navigation/stack) work fine but when I try run (react-native run-ios) after installing react-native-reanimated, it gives the following error message:
** BUILD FAILED **
The following build commands failed:
CompileC /Users/USERNAME/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/App-bsbiygstdsripxdqednowpxwwzst/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/RNReanimated.build/Objects-normal/arm64/UIResponder+Reanimated.o /Users/USERNAME/Documents/GitHub/ReactNative-Projects/App/node_modules/react-native-reanimated/ios/native/UIResponder+Reanimated.mm normal arm64 objective-c++ com.apple.compilers.llvm.clang.1_0.compiler (in target 'RNReanimated' from project 'Pods')
When I first install the package via
"npm install react-native-reanimated",
it throws a vulnerability issue saying there are
65 vulnerabilities (10 moderate, 30 high, 25 critical)
but there it doesn't cause any issue during "pod install" command.
Send help to this poor react-native newbie :( Been struggling with this issue for three days

Update react-native-reanimated to 2.3.0-beta.2 or higher.

Why is Expo iOS build failing? ...something with ExpoModulesCore

Hey guys so I have an expo managed app and I want to use a notification library called Notifee which has an expo plugin. This plugin adds native code not supported by Expo Go, so I'm forced to enter bare workflow and build native iOS and Android folders.
I'm building the iOS package by running expo run:ios. And build fails due to something with ExpoModulesCore:
The following build commands failed:
CompileSwiftSources normal arm64 com.apple.xcode.tools.swift.compiler (in target 'ExpoModulesCore' from project
'Pods')
So I did some research and found that others had the same issue here on Stackoverflow. I tried altering the pod file and updating ExpoModulesCore
pod update ExpoModulesCore as this answer suggests
https://stackoverflow.com/a/71104305/8561357
After updating ExpoModulesCore and re-building, I get an additional error:
The following build commands failed:
PhaseScriptExecution [CP-User]\ Generate\ Specs /Users/kevin/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Addressbook-gmgtddiltntfosevknuexadcwkpt/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Pods.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/FBReactNativeSpec.build/Script-BC35D93E0A296DC41D8D893483CBC12F.sh (in target 'FBReactNativeSpec' from project 'Pods')
CompileSwiftSources normal x86_64 com.apple.xcode.tools.swift.compiler (in target 'ExpoModulesCore' from project 'Pods')
(2 failures)
So why does this happen?
I saw something about Xcode version 13 not working, only 12??
Is Expo version incompatible?
Really trying to figure out what's going on here
maybe its was to late.
if you using react native 0.64.4, add or change expo-module-core version to ^0.6.5 on your package.json.
delete node_modules folder and yarn.lock (if you using yarn)
reinstall node_modules using yarn yarn install
sync node_modules with pod using pod deintegrate and then pod install on ios folder.
install expo modules using npx install-expo-modules from root project.
then build ios using yarn run ios
maybe you need to see similar issue on here:

How could I run it again, it seems that there are no issues with codes.
Please run command first:
npm start
and then
react-native run-ios
You have probably updated react-native improperly please check the documentation.
You may have used npm audit fix which updates react-native.
To fix the problem you can downgrade the react-native version of the app with
npm install react-native#x.x.x"
Then re-compile project with
react-native run-ios"
And don't forget to restart the bundler as well with
react-native start
Then, if you still want to upgrade the react-native version you can use
react-native-git-upgrade

Error launching React Native app from command line

I have a React Native app and recently upgraded to React Native 0.55. I previously could run the command react-native run-ios --simulator="iPhone X" to launch the app in the Simulator. Now I cannot, but I can still run the app in Xcode using build and run.
Here is the error from the react-native run-ios --simulator="iPhone X" output:

In case it helps, here's the output of react-native info:
Environment:
OS: macOS High Sierra 10.13.3
Node: 9.5.0
Yarn: 1.3.2
npm: 5.6.0
Watchman: 4.9.0
Xcode: Xcode 9.2 Build version 9C40b
Android Studio: 3.0 AI-171.4443003
Packages: (wanted => installed)
react: ^16.3.0-alpha.1 => 16.3.0-alpha.3
react-native: 0.55.0 => 0.55.0
What's wrong with my setup and how should I fix it?
As a workaround you should try
react-native run-ios --port 8088 or RCT_METRO_PORT=8081 react-native run-ios but unsure if that works.
RCT_METRO_PORT var was added in commit 33d710e8c58ef1dc69816a59ac1cf390894e7cb9 and looks like it breaks versions 0.54/0.55 to run ios apps from the cli.
In the meantime I continue using xcode to run my react-native apps.
Hopefully it can be patched or cherry picked or ultimately be fixed on the next major release.
There is an open GitHub issue about it.
