i am trying to create line chatbot with several functions in it. One of the function need to know the user LINE ID (for example: ryan123) not user id (U858382312321123......). I am using google app script to create the line chatbot
is it possible to get user LINE ID using API? or is there any way to get this through line bot?
/profile/{userId} is the only* way you can get displayName
*though there endpoints to get the profile with userId by further specifying the groupId or roomId
In case your Messaging API bot is a verified or premium account, you can use a list of userId of followers at anytime with followers/ids
Otherwise, you need to store them upon follow, messsage, etc. events

I am in the process of integrating my webapp with Basecamp 2 (solved, see edit) and 3, and I want to get all of the comments for a todo item for the authorized user.
First I make a call to https://launchpad.37signals.com/authorization.json which returns json that includes the user's identity, something like {"identity":{"id":99999999, ..... }}.
Then I make a call to the URL to get the comments for the item in question and go through them one by one matching the identity.id from above (99999999) with the creator.id for the comment.
The problem is, they don't match! I am working with one Basecamp2 project and one Basecamp3 project. When testing, using comments I wrote, Basecamp2 and Basecamp3 each have different values for creator.id (even though I wrote both comments!), and neither of them match the identity.id from authorization.json.
How do I link them to find which comments were made by the authorized user
Thanks
EDIT: I figured it out for Basecamp2 - I need to get /people.json which has a mapping from the identity_id of each user to the id for that user in that project. Still not sure how to do it for Basecamp3, which does not include identity_id in people.json!
The correct way to do this for Basecamp2 is to get:
https://basecamp.com/{project_id}/api/v1/people/me.json - the id node contains the id of the authorized user for project {project_id}.
for Basecamp3:
https://3.basecampapi.com/{project_id}/my/profile.json - the id node contains the id of the authorized user for project {project_id}.
In this message formatting doc: https://api.slack.com/docs/message-formatting, you can use special control sequence characters < and > to perform server-side parsing (server-side as in Slack API's server-side).
So using <#U024BE7LH> in your chat.postMessage() call will get parsed to something like #bob or whatever the username associated with that ID is, in the actual text that shows up in slack.
Unfortunately, this will cause a notification for the person you're referring to. How do I make it so that it doesn't notify the person? I've tried to enclose in a code block, i.e.:
`<#U024BE7LH>`
or
```
<#U024BE7LH>
```
But it still pings. I'm thinking the only way is to get a list of users and parse the name from the ID.
According to this, backticks should work but empirically it hasn't for me. The Slack employee says to just convert the user ID to their name and use that without the templating.

Scenery: 1 store and 2 locations. I already have select field form (checkout) where the customer select which store is closest to your location, eg: city A or city B.
Now I need that the new order notification (admin) sent ONLY to e-mail the city shop chosen in form.
Seems to me that all this operations occurs near: class-wc-order, class-wc-checkout.php
But I belive that exist that do it only using filters
Any ideas?
Thanks advance.
$_SESSION Vars on WooCommerce work's fine.
Well not the fine way, but also not worst too!
Create a jquery ($.ajax) function to call one php script external file and register the session variable ($_SESSION).
In my case this php is in (eg: public_html/loadvar.php), this file receive $_POST variables through ajax (in my case: when the user select your office location prefered, this value eg: emailA or emailB according office selected (onChange event) )
I used this session variable to store the alternative email addresses. (not admin_email default)
In (class-wc-checkout.php) , retrieve these values (session variable) eg: email1 or email2... previously selected on form checkout, and overriding the "get_option( 'admin_email' )" by the $_SESSION value
Now, users can choice the office that prefer, and only the selected office will receive the quote request
Note: I only can use this session vars on woocommerce configuring wp_unregister_GLOBALS() on wp-includes/load.php or disable it commenting this function.
This worked (not is state-of-art code) maybe dirty code but can't need deep coding, obviously not "strict patch" this will not survive an update
Thats all folks
Querying user data on Facebook Graph via the Javascript API will not return all fields.
For example, the following query:
/search?q=David Blades&type=user&fields=location,work,id,name,picture,link
Returns everything except work and location.
Does anybody know the reason why?
Because these fields are not publicly available, please refer to the User object:
Name Permission
id No access_token required
name No access_token required
...
location user_location or friends_location
Im wondering if there is anyway to interogate facebook data on user interests. i.e. Retrieve the following data sets:
What are the most like interests/Pages on facebook?
Retreive the current users facebook interest and also their friends interests?
Really want to know if we can get facebook global interest/like data and than also if the user connects their facebook account to the site than we can also retrieve their interest data.
Thanks in advance
So you want to implement something like http://www.socialbakers.com/ ?
To get 1) you'd have to periodically poll the API for the public fan count of a known set of page IDs to see the current fan counts ( i think this is what socialbakers do)
To get 2, get the user_likes and friend_likes extended permissions from your users and access the /likes connection of the users whose likes you want to read
Yes you can retrieve user interests from facebook. You just need to include the user_interests permission required in your jsp page.
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer/
If you are using spring social you can generate your own url for /me/interests:
URIBuilder uriBuilder1 = URIBuilder.fromUri(facebook.GRAPH_API_URL + "me" +"/interests");
String s = facebook.restOperations().getForObject(uriBuilder1.build(), String.class);
