How to handle the remove flight booking in webtours? It came to my mind that if I wanna run the test with 3 virtual users and how they supposed to delete the booking if the information down here (refer below) are unique for each virtual user? Does any of these variables below need to be parameterized or need to apply correlation?
If there are multiple flight id to be deleted, we can create a CSV file having those ids
and use a while loop controller to delete each of them.

As you said, it will differ for a different user, you can store each value from the response of each user(extract value using regex) and pass them in delete call.

I don't know what "webtours" is, however there is one "golden" rule: each and every parameter which is dynamic needs to be correlated.
If you don't have any idea regarding which ones are dynamic - record the same action one more time using JMeter's HTTP(S) Test Script Recorder and compare the generated requests, parameter values (or even names) which differ needs to be correlated.
Another approach is to inspect the previous response(s) using View Results Tree listener and look if the data is present there

Good day everyone,
we are trying to have through the use of the integrations of the Apigee service of google all the rows in a bigquery table that have a certain value in a field.
this operation is quite easy to do, but when we have more than 200 lines as a result, problems arise.
The problem is that using the integration to connect to BigQuery I am not returning any listEntitiesPageToken value and not even any listEntitiesNextPageToken value
so i can't figure out how i can go about navigating the result pages
Has anyone had the same problem? What do you suggest?
In the tutorial: "https://cloud.google.com/apigee/docs/api-platform/integration/connectors-task#configure-the-connectors-task" is write : "For example, if you are expecting 1000 records in your result set, you can set the listEntitiesPageSize to 100. So when the Connectors task runs for the first time, it returns the first 100 records, the next 100 records in the second run and so on."
And there is a tip: "Use the listEntitiesPageSize parameter in conjunction with the listEntitiesPageToken parameter to navigate through the pages."
I used the tutorial to understand how to use the task for loop and I understood that I should create a "subintegration" which must be called by a "main integration" for each element present in a list / array.
But what what can i do since these tokens are empty?
In Eloqua, can you send out an email to a contact list but version the "hero" image headline for each segment using dynamic content blocks?
And then can you do the reverse, have the main image remain the same, and dynamically populate products below that they've purchased in the past?
For scenario 1, yes that is possible out of the box.
Scenario 2 however is a bit more complicated and would generally require a 3rd party tool to provide this type of dynamic code generation based upon a lookup table (in this case a line item inventory or purchases). Because a contact could have zero or more products (commonly as individual records in a CDO), you would generally need to aggregate or count the number of related records, and then generate your HTML table and formatting around those record values, and be contextually aware if it is the first or last record (to begin and close the table). Dynamic content does not have mathematical functions and would not be able to count those related records - this is something usually provided by a B2C system like SFMC using ampscript or dynamically generated through custom code and sent through a transactional SMTP service. You could have multiple dynamic content on top of each other, but your biggest limitation becomes the field merge, with only lets you select a record based upon earliest/last creation date, or last modified. This is not suitable if you have more than 2 records. A third party service that provides a cloud content module for your email is your best bet.
This sample will give me ALL the GUIDs for HOURS (Yes over 2000 you need to page to get the rest)
htps://YOURCOMAPNY.attask.com/attask/api/v4.0/hour/search?$$LIMIT=2000&fields=ID:*
Object=Hour
field=ID:* (wildcard for all)
If I wanted to do the same thing to SCANS (ScoreCard Answer)
htps://YOURCOMAPNY.attask.com/attask/api/v4.0/scans/search?$$LIMIT=2000&fields=ID:*
Object=scans (Scorecard Answer)
Field=ID:* (Wildcard All)
I get an error:
{"error":{"class":"java.lang.IllegalArgumentException","message":"SCANS is not a top level object and can't be requested directly in internal"}}
I Can do this to pull a ton of project information and I have to parse it all such as produced by this code.
htps://YOURCOMAPNY.attask.com/attask/api/v4.0/proj/search?fields=alignmentScoreCard:,alignmentValues:,alignmentValues:scoreCardQuestion:*
And if I click thru it I can find a ID for a scans and a scoreq and if I take that scans or scoreq and attempt to pull it using the field=ID or
htps://YOURCOMPANY.attask.com/attask/api/v4.0/scans/YOURGUIDHEREXXXXXXXXX/
This again tells me:
{"error":{"class":"java.lang.IllegalArgumentException","message":"SCANS is not a top level object and can't be requested directly in internal"}}
I can pull just about anything and get a list of ID's and then manually pull those items by ID but the scores/scorecard answers/scorecard questions (Even as the API seems to indicate that I can pull this like anything else does NOT allow me to do so?
Suggestions? I know its all associated with projectIDs and such I just want to get a list of them all and work with the ones that I want on a one - one basis without having to pull the PROJ and then rummage thru to locate all the ID's associated with it (If there are one or many) Is this possible?
Thank you!
I don't think there is any workaround for this..
you have to go via projects only..
I am also searching a method for this...
I had to update scorecard answers and I had to go via projects..
I am working to create a Java based RESTful API that uses Spring MVC.
Now for some of the API endpoints-- multiple different parameters are required... I am not talking about a list of values-- more like parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4 and so on-- where all the 4 (or more) parameters are of different data types as well.
How do I design the API endpoint URL for the above scenario, eg for 4 separate input parameters? Is there any recommended way/best practice for doing this? Or do I simply concatenate the 4 values, with ach pair of values separated by a delimiter like "/"?
EDIT from user comment:
Example: I have to retrieve a custom object(a 'file') based on 4 input parameters--(Integer) userid, (Integer) fileid, (String) type, and (String) usertype. Should I simply create a REST Endpoint like "getfile/{userid}/{fileid}/{type}/{usertype}-- or is there a better (or recommended way) to construct such REST endpoints?
In REST start by thinking about the resource and coming up with immutable permalinks (doesn't change)to identify that resource.
So, in your example (in comment), you said you want to retrieve a file resource for a user and type (file type or user type?)
So, start with just enough information to identify the resource. If the id is unique, then this is enough to identify the resource regardless of the user who owns the file:
/files/{fileId}
That's also important as the url if a file could change owners - remember we want to identify the resource with just the components needed so it can be a permalink.
You could also list the files for a specific user:
/users/{userId}/files/
The response would contain a list of files and each of those items in the list would contain links to the files (/files/{fileId})
If for some reason the file id is not unique but is unique only in the context of a user (files don't change owners and id increments within a user - wierd) then you would need these components to identify the resource:
/users/{userId}/files/{fileId}
Also note the order based on the description. In that wierd case, we said the files are logically contained and IDed by the user and that's also the containment in the url structure.
Hope that helps.
A GET request to file/{usertype}/{user}/{type}/{fileid} sounds good
Scenario 1
In my web application say for there is a screen for adding an employee to system. As soon as user tabs after entering name of the employee, it generates the employee code automatically (which is the next field) based on some logic and already present records in the database.
Now I want to expose rest API for this application so that third party devs can build on top of it. So, I will have a resource called as /Employee which will respond for GET, PUT and DELETE verbs. But when a client needs to autofill the code, which is a GET operation, it will be on what resource? Should I make a new resource /EmployeeCodeFor/{Name} or I should get it on /Employee/{Name}/GenerateCode? If I go with /Employee/{Name}/GenerateCode then what about my resource to GET, PUT and DELETE for Employee i.e. actually /Employee/{Id}?
Scenario 2
Here lets take the case of a stackoverflow post. So lets say the resource would be /Post/{Id}. In the same way as in the previous example it lists me possible duplicate question as soon as I tab out of the Title field.
Again on what URL I should get those possible duplicates?
I can't think of more scenarios just now. But many such kind of scenarios may come up in real life application development. How to implement them in RESTful way?
Update on scenario 1
Code and Id are two different fields. Id is primary key, code can be duplicate across departments just to illustrate. Also to generate a code, name should be provided first. So, if user types a name "FirstName LastName" then server might generate FL003 as code assuming that there are already two more employees with firstname starting from F and lastname starting from L in the said department. Department can be identified based on the logged in user.
One way to allow the server an opportunity to pre-fill a bunch of elements in a new resource is to do
POST /Employees
{with empty body}
=>
201 Created
Location: http://example.org/employee/3443
<Employee Id="3443">
<Code>E1001</Code>
<FirstName></FirstName>
<LastName></LastName>
</Employee>
This gives the server one chance to provide default values. If you are looking for a more interactive way for the server to provide feedback during the input, I have another approach but it will take quite a bit more explaining.
Scenario 1
Let say your employee code is a unique identifier. In this case, to get it, you would allow the user to complete any field for the new employee and then make a POST. The server would generate the code and respond to the POST with a link to /Employee/{generated_code} which is the record for your newly created employee.
A GET on /Employee would return a list of all employees. A GET on /Employee/{a_code} will give you the employee detail.
Scenario 2
You could have some kind of query on the /Post collection like /Post?title_like={question_title}. A GET /Post?title_like=REST How to would return you a list of all questions containing "REST How to".
