Select The data from Dynamic Dropdown in Macro file - vba

I am working on Macro excel file in which multiple dynamic dropdowns are there for every column.
I have 2 excel file ,one is input file and another one which I need to update on the basis of requirements.
I need to pick value one by one from input file and then check it from dropdown values of excel-2.
If that value doesn't exist in dropdown then bot needs to skip the entire row and move to next one.
I am not able to understand that how to fix it.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Automated formatting CSV files using an Add-In in Excel 2010

I have a C program that generates CSV files as output.
For example - I have 12 CSV files; one for each month. First column is Employee Name and Second column is their respective salaries. Assume there are 10 employees.
I want to format the 'salaries'column such that if a cell has a value over 10,000, the text should become green. Else it should remain blue. I have been able to do this using VBA for one file by adding a Command Button in the file and writing a small script.
However the issue is, every time I run my C code, it will generate a new set of CSVs; overwriting the existing ones. Besides, I want to apply such formatting to other CSV files I intend to generate.
I read that a .xla Add-In (which can exist on its own unlike embedded VBA macros in an Excel sheet) might be the solution.
I have 2 questions -
1. Is it possible to do with Add-Ins?
2. If yes, then I wanted to create a single batch file which would first generate the CSVs, and then run the Add-In on it. Is that possible too?
Thank You.

How to copy selected columns and filter them before hand in excel VBA

I am just a beginner in VBA. I am trying to copy some data from one workbook that is updated daily to a master woorkbook and generate a report. I want it to first filter one of the columns for nonzero values and copy it with three selected columns for example columns T,C,N. I have looked everywhere for an answer but I haven't succeeded yet. Please help.
You can check if a given cell has value 0 by something like this If Sheets(sheetname).Cells(rownumber,columnnumber)=0 Then
You haven't specified what do you want to do on the other workbooks with the cells that were empty.

How can i merge header cells in Excel writer in pentaho?

I am trying to merge header cells columns into one cell but when i do that my data also comes in one column. I want my resulting output as per this screenshot attached. Kindly help me for this.
Are your columns variable? Or you always have the same output schema?
If it's fixed then, I would use a template where the headers are fixed and I start populating from row 5.
Google Spreadsheet input
If you are using the Spreadsheet input that is not possible on the step.
What I usually do in that kind of situation is to create a row with my headers and hide it so the user don't get confused with two headers. Them the Step will get the result perfectly using the column names provided on first row. (you can use a formula like =b3 there so it changes with the real header. No problem.)
Excel input
If you are using the Excel input step you can set the sheet to be read from row 2, column 0 and should work fine. =)

Alternative to Excel INDIRECT that works on closed files, and links to workbook based on cell value?

I've seen many questions on this forum about linking Excel files based on cell values and INDIRECT always pops up as an answer, and it does do function and fill my sheet the way that I want, but I need to find a way to work with the source file being closed. My problem when it comes to linking, is that the file path to pull the data from will not be known until part of the file name is entered into a cell.
For example, in 'Print Summary' workbook, Sheet1 Cell A2 is where the file name is entered as a number 12345 (and gets auto-formatted to place 'WIP' in front) which represents WIP12345.xls. WIP12345.xls is a form that holds information that needs to populate certain columns across row 2. WIP12345.xls is an order form and completed days ahead. Once it has been approved, the summary workbook is updated with the WIP#.
I did CONCATENATE WIP12345 and .xls to create the file name WIP12345.xls on Sheet2, and I have a Macro that copies and pastes special as value to turn the result into text. But, I can't find a way to create a formula that will take this value and lookup the file to pull information from. I need to pull and fill information from different cells to 10 columns down 43 rows (each row representing a different WIP#####.xls file).
I'm guessing VBA is the only way to go, but I have no idea how to write it. Anyone have a direction they can point me in? I hope I'm coming across clearly.
The free add-in morefunc.xll contains a function called Indirect.Ext, which works with closed worbooks.

Populate table in Word Template with VBA?

I'm filling in a Word template with data that's been collected from user input. In particular a (variable) number of documents is chosen, and information about each document fills a row of a table.
I've bookmarked several items in the template and successfully filled information in the header from my macro, but the table I'm not so sure with. I bookmarked the first cell and tried tabbing (with Chr(9)) through, and also tried passing an array. (In the template the table has only a first row. Usually tabbing past the last column creates an additional row.)
I can retieve cell contents with
Word.Application.ActiveDocument.Tables(1).Cell(3, 1).Range.Text
but can't write to the any cell except the first, where I placed a bookmark.
Can anyone offer a possible solution to populate the table?
To populate table, use this code
ActiveDocument.Tables(1).Cell(1, 1).Range.Text = "Blah Blah"
This will write to the first cell in the first table. Use a loop to fill the rest of the cells.

I've actually ran into a similar problem using Access to automate filling out a Word table template. I found that if I opened the template in Word prior to running the VBA script, then the Word document is successfully filled out with the table information. My code looks similar to yours as far as adding to it by row. Because the number of fields to be transferred to the form is dynamic it didn't seem like bookmarks for each section would work. If you have any update, I'd be happy to hear of a different way to resolve this.
