Every time i run Simple-example downloaded from github JavaLite examples, I get this error. Exception in thread "main" org.javalite.activejdbc.InitException: Failed to connect to JDBC URL: jdbc:mysql:mysql://localhost/movies with user: root. Also in read me file there is said to run mvn db-migrator:create command but I also get an error. Why is that, I have downloaded maven and my mvn process-classes builed successfully. Also I am interested in more JavaLite material, there are so few on the internet.
There is a README.md file in this example project:
https://github.com/javalite/javalite-examples/blob/master/simple-example/README.md
It has exact instructions to run this example. One of the steps is:
Adjust your database connection parameters in file:
src/main/resources/database.properties
This will ensure you have a correct configuration for your database.

I am not sure why this file cannot be found.
I am using Dagster to run the DBT Docs Generate command, upload those files to S3 so that they can be deployed via CI/CD to an ngnix server.
The documentation will sometimes load after a fresh deploy, but quickly will throw the above error. I can confirm, though, that the debug and docs generate CLI commands produce no error(s), and all the files (including the catalog.json) are present on the ngninx server.
I am not sure how to debug this weird issue. Thanks!
I tried running the docs generate command with the --no-compile flag, but it produces the same result.
I am attempting to execute my tests using the karate stand-alone jar. Throughout my project, I use the read('classpath:') when locating files.
However, when I attempt to execute my tests from the CLI, I receive the following error:
src.test.java.Users.getUser: -unknown-:6 - javascript evaluation failed: read('classpath:commonUtils.feature'), java.io.FileNotFoundException: commonUtils.feature (The system cannot find the file specified)
Command: java -jar -Dkarate.config.dir="src/test/java" karate.jar -e DEV -t #tests src/test
It seems that I will have to declare the classpath on execution, would you be able to provide some insight on how to do this please? I'm not sure whether my issue is linked to [karate][standalone] Error : could not find or read file
Can you try the ZIP release and if you open the karate batch file you will see this:
java -cp karate.jar:. com.intuit.karate.Main $*
So the trick to setting a custom classpath is to use the com.intuit.karate.Main entry point and in the above example the current dir is also added to the classpath.
It would be great if you try the current RC version (0.9.5.RC3) to ensure we have everything working as expected.
For more information, see this part of the docs: https://github.com/intuit/karate/tree/develop/karate-netty#custom-classpath
I’m trying to integrate Bugzilla Testopia with Jenkins with the aid of the Testopia Plugin for Jenkins.
The general configuration is probably fine as the connection between Testopia and Jenkins is well established (Jenkins log says: ‘Connecting to Testopia to retrieve automated test cases’ and no error occurs then). However I’m unable to retrieve any information concerning Test Runs/Test Cases etc. from Testopia.
Moreover I cannot perform any of ‘Iterative Test Build Steps’. If I want to ‘Execute Shell’ in ‘Iterative Test Build Steps’ with Testopia Plugin no operation is carried out (even if I try: echo 12345 etc.). If I use ‘Single Test Build Steps‘ then shell command is executed.
My goal is to retrieve test class name from Testopia (it is stored in Testopia Test Case’s field - Automation/Scripts ) and then run maven build from Jenkins with this class name set as the parameter. Afterwards depending on the Jenkins build success or failure status I’d like to update the Test Case Status in Testopia.
How to fetch any information from Testopia into Jenkins?
Why any of ‘Iterative Test Build Steps’ is not executed?
Any clues? - Testopia Plugin site example wasn't too helpful for me.
Both Bugzilla and Jenkins are hosted on the same Ubuntu 14.04. I've got the latest stable versions of Jenkins, Bugzilla and Testopia.
Thanks in advance,
M.
EDIT:
Well this debugging does not work for me. I added a new log recorder with the 'ALL' level chosen and I cannot see any additional log neither in job's console output nor in the newly created logger output.
Maybe sth is wrong with my Testopia installation? Some more details concerning my configuration:
I've got Testopia installed on the same machine (as Jenkins) and usually I access it through: http://'ip_address'/bugzilla
- in Testopia plugin configuration my URL to Testopia installation is: http://'ip_address'/bugzilla/xmlrpc.cgi
- I've got only one bugzilla account - these admin's credentials I use in Jenkins
- sometimes in Jenkins I can see a warning concerning improper reverse proxy configuraiton - maybe it has sth to do with the problem
After job execution all Testopia's fields are 0 - Run Id, Build Id etc. - which obviously indicates that no information was successfully retrieved from Testopia.
Any ideas how to check why I cannot retrieve any information from Testopia?
EDIT 2:
In the meantime I think I've found a clue in the jenkins.log file in jenkins installation directory:
Exceptions like these occur:
INFO: TESTOPIA_TEST_SUITE_3 #13 main build action completed: SUCCESS
org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: The requested method 'TestRun.get' was not found.
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcStreamTransport.readResponse(XmlRpcStreamTransport.java:197)
...
org.apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: The requested method 'TestRun.get_test_cases' was not found.
at org.apache.xmlrpc.client.XmlRpcStreamTransport.readResponse(XmlRpcStreamTransport.java:197)
Shall I insert the full stacktrace?
It looks like that plugin logs a fair amount of information, though not all of it to the build console output itself.
To debug further, you could try adding a new log recorder for the logger jenkins.plugins.testopia (with log level "all"), run a build, then refresh the web page for the newly-created log recorder to see the output.
You should at least see "Filtering for automated test cases" after connection, information about each test case found, and then log output for each iterative build step as it's run on each test case.
I got the similiar problem when I use python xmlrpc to commnicate with my bugzilla-testopia server.
I chekc the error code and find XMLRPC.pm under my bugzilla install location : "./WebService/Server/XMLRPC.pm".
I know the error was thrown by this sub function, which checks login status and forward to modules where the moduel.function must be in PUBLIC_METHODS:
sub handle_login {
...
if (none { $_ eq $method } $class->PUBLIC_METHODS) {
ThrowCodeError('unknown_method', { method => $full_method });
}
...
}
I don't know why but TestCase.get could not be found in PUBLIC_METHODS, so I just marked them as comment and then it works. You can do this quick way to make sure your client setting is correct. Then you should solve the "PUBLIC_METHODS" problem next.
(I'm running on CentOS 5.8). I've been following the direction for a Clustered (Multiserver) Zookeeper Set-up, but getting an error when I try to start up my server. When I run the command as described in the documentation:
java -cp zookeeper-3.4.6.jar:lib/log4j-1.2.16.jar:conf \ org.apache.zookeeper.server.quorum.QuorumPeerMain conf/zoo.cfg
I get the error:
Error: Could not find or load main class org.apache.zookeeper.server.quorum.QuorumPeerMain
I have my files location as such and am running from the ~/zookeeper-3.4.6 directory:
~/zookeeper-3.4.6/zookeeper-3.4.6.jar
~/zookeeper-3.4.6/conf/zoo.cfg
~/zookeeper-3.4.6/data/myid
~/zookeeper-3.4.6/lib/log4j-1.2.16.jar
~/zookeeper-3.4.6/bin/zkServer.sh
Does anyone know why this error is happening? I don't quite understand the arguments that are being passed, so it is hard for me to debug the path issue. As a side note, I've tried running ./zookeeper-3.4.6/bin/zkServer.sh start, which did successfully work, but the documentation seems to indicate that command is meant for a single-node instance.
Edit:
I was able to make some progress by modifying the command and taking out the :conf \ part, so now I'm running:
java -cp zookeeper-3.4.6.jar:lib/log4j-1.2.16.jar: org.apache.zookeeper.server.quorum.QuorumPeerMain conf/zoo.cfg
I get a new error, but this is progress...

which corresponds to lines 63 and 64 from QuorumPeerMain
public class QuorumPeerMain {

I got the Error: Could not find or load main class org.apache.zookeeper.server.quorum.QuorumPeerMain, because I had downloaded the apache-zookeeper-X.X.X.tar.gz file and not the apache-zookeeper-X.X.X.bin.tar.gz file. Downloading, untarring and using the bin.tar file fixed it for me.
You can also build the binaries from the apache-zookeeper-X.X.X.tar.gz file; see the answer of #vincent.
This happens when you download and used apache-zookeeper-X.X.X.tar.gz, you should use apache-zookeeper-X.X.X-bin.tar.gz. this will surely solve this issue
The issue can be solved by untaring apache-zookeeper-3.5.6-bin.tar.gz. Initially, I encountered the same error while untared/installed apache-zookeeper-3.5.6.tar.gz and executed /bin/zkServer.sh start
Please make sure you have downloaded apache-zookeeper-3.5.6-bin.tar.gz
I got the same errors. I solved the error by check the README.md file in apache-zookeeper-[version].tar.gz Just type:
mvn clean install -DskipTests
then start the zookeeper. You will solve the error, too.
You should be able to run zkServer.sh to get a clustered setup. It will use the same conf/zoo.cfg that you are providing manually, which will contain the cluster endpoints.
The best way to check what you are missing from your classpath (and see the proper java command) is to run the zkServer.sh you said worked for you.
When it starts up, check the actual command used like this:
ps -ef | grep zookeeper
I also get this error when try to run Apache Zookeper v3.5.5 on Windows:
Error: Could not find or load main class org.apache.zookeeper.server.quorum.QuorumPeerMain
As said by #Onnonymous, I finish my problem by downloading the .bin.tar.gz (here) instead of .tar.gz version.
I am using apache-zookeeper-3.8.0-bin.tar.gz (Ubuntu 20.04)
This has all the necessary files to successfully start the zookeeper process.
specifying the other nodes in zoo.cfg file and starting the zookeeper automatically adds other nodes and starts the election process.
digital ocean has a good setup guide here setup zookeeper cluster

Build step 'Invoke top-level Maven targets' marked build as failure
This seems to be an issue concerning the maven pathway, but I've setup the maven pathway on my host machine. M2_HOME, M2, and PATH are all correct. I know they are correct because I can run the maven commands from the command line. When I try to invoke maven commands in jenkins though I get the error.
So I went into Jenkins->Manage Jenkins->Configure System and I clicked on Maven installations...
I checked off on
Install automatically
Version 2.2.1
I clicked save and tried to run my project again with the same error. When I do mvn -version I get 2.2.1 so that should be right.
From the Configure System page I have also tried
Name default
MAVEN_HOME /usr/local/apache-maven/apache-maven-2.2.1
Any ideas?
The solution to my question has two parts. First I needed to make sure that after creating the maven Installation setup on the Configure System page, that I specified that same configuration in the build itself. Second Jenkins does not seem to have sufficient privileges on the redhat box I'm running it on. Once I finally got it pointed to the right maven instance I got a lot of unable to create file/folder errors. These permission errors could be the real reason I had so much trouble with maven on this machine. I have not solved these permission errors and will create a new question for them.
