I am in prestashop 1.6 and in classes/Cart.php i've tested and i can communicate with the template file.
In the query that i've made to return the expect result works on phpmyadmin, and works in cart.php to tpl file call, but only when i write the id number of the customer, and i want to work with the variable id customer (something with THIS or like prestashop way of work - (int)$id_customer - ).
Any help please!!!!!
//code for cart.php
public static function payLater($id_customer)
{
$sql = "SELECT ps_customer.pay_later
FROM ps_customer
LEFT JOIN ps_cart ON ps_customer.id_customer = ps_cart.id_customer
ORDER BY ps_cart.id_cart DESC LIMIT 1
WHERE ps_cart.id_customer =".(int)$id_customer;
//if i change (int)$id_customer for a real id number like 43 it shows correct info
$result = Db::getInstance()->getValue($sql);
return $result;
}
//code for template file
{Cart::payLater(Tools::getvalue('pay_later'))}
{Cart::payLater($customer.id)} in tpl file. I have edited in your function also. please check below for empty customer id.
public static function payLater($id_customer)
{
if((int)$id_customer == 0){ return; } // check if customer id is blank
$sql = "SELECT ps_customer.pay_later
FROM ps_customer
LEFT JOIN ps_cart ON ps_customer.id_customer = ps_cart.id_customer
ORDER BY ps_cart.id_cart DESC LIMIT 1
WHERE ps_cart.id_customer =".(int)$id_customer;
//if i change (int)$id_customer for a real id number like 43 it shows correct info
$result = Db::getInstance()->getValue($sql);
return $result;
}

I manually manage my stocks on Prestashop. I am looking for a solution to automatically return the initial stock after a sales order.
For example, a product is ordered in two copies with an initial stock of 7. I would like the stock to remain at 7 after the order and not at 5.
Do you know a technique that would allow me to realize this automatically?
Put a Hook on Order Confirmation (displayOrderConfirmation) in a new module (you can generate one at https://validator.prestashop.com/) and check whats inside the cart then put it again in your stocks :
public function hookDisplayOrderConfirmation($params) {
$order = $params['order'];
$cart = new Cart($order->id_cart);
$products = $cart->getProducts();
foreach ($products as $product) {
$removed_qty = (int) $product['quantity'];
$past_qty = (int) StockAvailable::getQuantityAvailableByProduct($product['id_product'], $product['id_product_attribute']);
$new_qty = $removed_qty + $past_qty;
StockAvailable::setQuantity($product['id_product'], $product['id_product_attribute'], $new_qty);
}
}
I'm trying to a segment of code which is behaving strange.
I am using the Paul Irish infinite scroll with the JQuery masonry plugin to display content.
The content is pulled by sql and has a set number, currently 20.
This means the page will load the first 20 rows of content from the database, then will load the next 20 upon scrolling down.
I have this functionality on a few pages and it works fine except for one page.
On this page instead of loading the most recent 20 posts, it loads every post in that particular field. Some have over 5000 posts so it literally crashes the page. A major problem as you can imagine.
I have been trying to adapt the code to look for anomalies and have narrowed it down (I think) to one particular segment.
This is the code used on a page that works:
function index() {
$userID = false;
$order = false;
$limit = $this->config->item('pin_load_limit');
$page = $this->uri->segment(3, 1);
$nextOffset = ($page -1) * $limit;
$nextPage = $page +1;
$sql = "SELECT *
FROM
pins";
if ($userID)
$sql .= " WHERE
user_id= $userID ";
if ($order) {
$sql .= " ORDER BY
' $order'";
} else {
$sql .= " ORDER BY time DESC";
}
$sql .= " LIMIT $nextOffset,$limit";
$query = $this->db->query($sql);
if ($query->num_rows() > 0) {
$row = $query->result();
}
This is the code on the page that doesn't work:
function getEachBoardPins($id,$limit=false)
{
$sql = "SELECT
*
FROM
pins
WHERE
board_id = $id
ORDER BY time DESC";
if($limit)
$sql .=" LIMIT 0 ,$limit" ;
$query = $this->db->query($sql);
return $query->result();
}
I know it is to do with the pin load limit but I have tried adding the code to the latter without success.
Perhaps somebody on here who knows more about it can provide some better insight?
I imagine that it is VERY LIKELY that when you call the "getEachBoardPins" function, you aren't setting the second parameter, hence, it is defaulting to false, hence, the limit SQL isn't being appended, so the select statement will run the whole statement.
I am looking for a way to return the value of a precise column in the first result of a query.
The query result contains always 1 row containing the following columns :
ID
PW
RANK
I am trying to only get the rank value in order to push it into a session variable.
I tried messing with :
$row-> $query->row();
But then I don't know how to get only the value of the rank column. Ideally, I would want to get that value, then return it to allow my controller to set it in the session variable ( doing it in the model would be easier but would break the MVC pattern, right ?)
How can I do this ?
Thanks
Have the controller call a function in the model that return that value. Let's say the model has a function name get_rank()
public function get_rank($id)
{
// assumes your ID is an int
$id = (int)$id;
// avoid wasting a query
if ($id < 1) return FALSE;
// build query
$this->db->select('rank');
$this->db->from('YOUR_TABLE');
$this->db->where('id', $id);
// maybe some sorting / limiting here if you need it
// get result
$rs = $this->db->get();
if ($rs->num_rows() > 0)
{
// just get the first row
$row = $rs->row();
return $row->rank;
}
return FALSE;
}
We've got some API integrations that will periodically create shipments for orders.
What I'd like to do is create an observer to also create an appropriate invoice & capture payment when this shipment is created. I have this tied to sales_order_shipment_save_after:
public function autoInvoice($observer){
$shipment = $observer->getEvent()->getShipment();
$order = $shipment->getOrder();
$items = $shipment->getItemsCollection();
$qty = array();
foreach($items as $item)
$qty[$item['order_item_id']] = $item['qty'];
$invoice = Mage::getModel('sales/order_invoice_api');
$invoiceId = $invoice->create($order->getIncrementId(), $qty);
$invoice->capture($invoiceId);
}
(The code for the actual capture is somewhat naive, but bear with me.)
What's strange is that this code works just fine -- the shipment is created, the invoice is created and marked as 'Paid.' However, the order itself stays in limbo and retains a status 'Pending.'
Looking into it further, the items on the order itself have the correct quantities for both Ordered and Shipped, but there's no listing of the quantity Invoiced. I think this is what's causing the status hangup. It's as though the qty_invoiced on the sales_order_item table is getting reverted somehow.
Again, the Invoice shows the right items, so I'm quite confused here.
Any ideas?
This is indeed a very interesting one #bahoo.
maybe try:
$shipment = $observer->getEvent()->getShipment();
$order = $shipment->getOrder();
$qty = array();
$invoice = Mage::getModel('sales/order_invoice_api');
$invoiceId = $invoice->create($order->getIncrementId(), $qty);
$invoice->capture($invoiceId);
After lots of testing using the API, I found if I created the invoice first, then the shipment, Magento Enterprise 1.13.01. would correctly set the order status to Complete. Trying to make the shipment first, then the invoice, would result in the Pending Order status remaining even if all items had been invoiced and shipped.
The bridging system code below uses information about orders placed in Magento, routed to the bridging system via an Observer on checkout_submit_all_after, sent to NetSuite via web services, and fulfilled in NetSuite. The bridging system gets sales order fulfillments from NetSuite via web service, and saves items shipped, package, and tracking information, to use in the code below.
Code shows creating invoice, then shipment and tracking.
Note that while testing, I just saw Magento incorrectly create an invoice for all three items in an order, even though it was passed an array that just contained two of the items. Magento did correctly create a shipment record for just the two items. Puzzling that the invoice API and the shipment API when passed the same array of items and quantities have such different behavior. Anyone else seen this?

I'm inheriting someone else's project and I am trying to familiarize myself with it. I have little experience with CI.
On one of the views there's is a drop down form, on change calls a JS function:
$(document).ready(function()
{
// admin contorller drop down ajax
$("#catagoryDropDownList").change(function()
{
getCatagoriesItems();
});
// initiate table sort
TableSorter.prepareTable($("#dataResultsTable"));
});
// ajax request triggered by catagory drop down menu selection
function getCatagoriesItems()
{
blockPage();
// get base url of current site
var baseurl = $("#site_url_for_ajax").val();
// get adminType
var adminType = $("#admin_type").val();
// get catagory id
var catId = $("#catagoryDropDownList option:selected").attr("id");
var queryString = baseurl + "home/ajaxCatagorySelection/" + catId + "/" + adminType;
$.get(queryString, function(data)
{
var obj = jQuery.parseJSON(data);
// dump data into table when request is successful
$("#dataResultsTable tbody").html(JSONParser.parseHomeDropDownSelectedJSON(obj));
// unblock page when done
$.unblockUI();
});
}
I've logged the two values, catID and adminType, they're both integers, catID will be between 1-10 and adminType = 1. There both references to int values in a database. catID is referencing a field titled 'categoryID'. catID 6 = all. None of the entries in the db have 6 as their value, thus ensuring if you filtered for not equaling 6 you'd get all. They get passed to a function called ajaxCatagorySelection in the controller file home.php. So far, so good. Here's that function:
public function ajaxCatagorySelection($tableName, $id)
{
$vars = new DatabaseRetriever($id);
$resultsArray = $vars->getDataForSpecifiedTable($tableName, $id);
echo json_encode($resultsArray);
}
and that function itself is referencing a model (database_retriever.php) and the class DatabaseRetriever and I'm assuming passing the variables along to the function getDataForSpecifiedTable. I say assuming because the variable names have changed significantly from catID to $tableName and adminType to $id. Here is getDataForSpecifiedTable:
public function getDataForSpecifiedTable($catagoryInfo, $databaseID)
{
// connect to database
$sql = $this->connect($databaseID);
if ($catagoryInfo != 6) {
// build SQL Query and query the database
$result = $sql->query("SELECT fileId, fileTitle, filePath, fileTypeExt, fileDescription, fileModed from admin_files where catagoryId = '" . $catagoryInfo . "' and adminId = '" . $databaseID . "'");
} else {
$result = $sql->query("SELECT fileId, fileTitle, filePath, fileTypeExt, fileDescription, fileModed from admin_files where catagoryId = '" . $catagoryInfo . "' and adminId = '" . $databaseID . "'");
}
// declare array
$items = array();
// retriever rows from database and build array
while ($row = $result->fetch_row())
{
array_push($items, $row);
}
// disconnect from database
$this->disconnect();
// return data in array
return $items;
}
the variable names have changed again but you can tell they are suppose to do what I wrote above by looking at the query. Here's the problem. I added the conditional "if ($catagoryInfo != 6)...", if I don't put the else in there then CI throws out warning errors that no data is being returned. I return $categoryInfo and in the FireBug console I get the correct integer. I've tried the conditional as an integer and a string with both failing. Any ideas what might be happening here?
If database_retriever.php is a model, you should call it like so:
$this->load->model('database_retriever');
$resultsArray = $this->Database_retriever->getDataForSpecifiedTable($tableName, $id);
Also, make sure your model extends Model (or extends CI_Model in CodeIgniter 2).
NOTE: $.getJSON, will auto-parse JSON for you, so you don't need to call parseJSON.
