i have created one library using .net standard , am trying to use that in .net core api ,
but am getting error -
Error constructing handler for request of type MediatR.IRequestHandler`2[]. Register your handlers with the container. See the samples in GitHub for examples.
inner exception -
Could not load file or assembly 'RedisHelper.Client, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. The system cannot find the file specified.
my mediatr injection as follow -
services.AddMediatR(Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly());
my class DI -
services.AddTransient<IRedisClient, RedisClient>();
can any one suggest me what i am missing here .
Thanks

As the exception message said, could not load the RedisHelper.Client assembly. Please check your .net core application and the .net standard library, where you add this assembly? Please ensure it adds success, you could also try to re-install it.
Besides, if you add the RedisHelper.Client assembly in the library, you should also add it in the .net core application.

While my .NET Core application is running, I noticed the following line:
fail: Microsoft.AspNetCore.Diagnostics.ExceptionHandlerMiddleware[0]
An unhandled exception has occurred: Method 'Clone' in type 'Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Infrastructure.Internal.SqlServerOptionsExtension' from assembly 'Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.SqlServer, Version=1.1.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=adb9793829ddae60' does not have an implementation. System.TypeLoadException: Method 'Clone' in type 'Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Infrastructure.Internal.SqlServerOptionsExtension' from assembly 'Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.SqlServer, Version=1.1.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=adb9793829ddae60' does not have an implementation.
I'm just curious what's causing this error because my apps is still running fine despite the error message.
By the way, I'm using .NET Core 2.0.0 Preview 1 version.
Microsoft.AspNetCore.Diagnostics.ExceptionHandlerMiddleware is just the middleware catching exceptions when nothing else in your program did
So your "real" exception is
Method 'Clone' in type 'Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Infrastructure.Internal.SqlServerOptionsExtension' from assembly 'Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.SqlServer, ...' does not have an implementation
By doing some googling with this exception, it seems to get down to support of your .Net Core version vs your EF Provider
If you want more information, you can:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/core/fundamentals/error-handling?view=aspnetcore-2.1#the-developer-exception-page Enable Developer Exception pages
Log more information from EF (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/core/fundamentals/logging/?view=aspnetcore-2.1#add-providers => enable in trace mode will get you more information)
I'm trying to figure out how ASP.NET 5 Web API supports Content Negotiation. In order to support XML (in addition to the default JSON support), according to another answer here on Stack Overflow, I need to add that support from an optional NuGet package.
Things have changed a bit since that answer, but I pulled down the Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc.Xml package and edited my Startup.cs file:
public void ConfigureServices(IServiceCollection services)
{
// Add framework services.
services.AddMvc().AddMvcOptions(options =>
{
options.InputFormatters.Add(new XmlSerializerInputFormatter());
});
}
This, however, doesn't compile:
The type 'InputFormatter' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc.Core, Version=6.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
Here are the full compilation error messages:

The error message seems fairly clear, but the project already includes Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc.Core, although not quite in the desired version:

As I'm writing this, ASP.NET 5 is only available in a Release Candidate version, so the above packages are the most recent available.
Clearly, Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc.Core 6.0.0.0 isn't available. In a normal .NET project, I'd attempt to solve this issue with a binding redirect, but since this is ASP.NET 5, that's apparently no longer the way to do things.
How can I make my code compile?
I believe you have to use the Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc.Formatters.Xml package instead. Also see this issue on github.
Also a hot tip: Use http://packagesearch.azurewebsites.net/ to search for which NuGet-package contains the class you are looking for.
I have a VS2005 web application I am using the MySQL active record templates and is perfectly working in VS2008 however I get this error:
Custom tool error: An Exception was thrown while running the transformation code. The process cannot continue. The following Exception was thrown:
System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException: Type 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TextTemplating.VSHost.TextTemplatingService' in Assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.TextTemplating.VSHost, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' is not marked as serializable.

I have the following packages installed to make it work for vs2005:

Guidance Automation Toolkit for Visual Studio 2005 - February 2008 Release
http://goo.gl/OEUNP
Guidance Automation Extensions - February 2008 Release
Subsonic 3.0 doesn't work for VS2005 as it requires .NET framework 3.5
Previous answer is not correct. The T4 system now runs out of process and sets up an Ipc channel back to the Host. This transport channel ( based on remoting ) uses a Binary serializer and cannot transport the Microsoft.VisualStudio.TextTemplating.VSHost.TextTemplatingService over that channel because it is not marked as serializable, exactly as the exception message says.
Incidently, you can get access to this service by changing the template directive hostspecific="true" and accessing the "Host" property.
There are also some parts of the EnvDTE.DTE that cannot be accessed via T4 templates for the same reason ( like DTE.Windows or DTE.WindowConfiguration ).
I am using PRISM for Silverlight 4.0 in one of my projects where I also access Sharepoint 2010.
The strange thing is that randomly I get the error:
An exception occurred while initializing module 'SharepointServiceModule'.
- The exception message was: Die Methode add_GetListCompleted im Typ SharepointServiceModule.Services.SharepointObjectModelService der Assembly SharepointServiceModule, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null hat keine Implementierung.
- The Assembly that the module was trying to be loaded from was:SharepointServiceModule, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null
Check the InnerException property of the exception for more information. If the exception occurred while creating an object in a DI container, you can exception.GetRootException() to help locate the root cause of the problem.
Which is very strange for me because first of all it happens only randomly and second that the method "add_GetListCompleted" is an event which must be implemented because I use it and it works.
Does anybody have an idea of whats going on here?
I found a solution for my problem.
First I tried to change the name of the interface and I noticed that the interface name did not change in the error message.
Therefore I removed the affected xap module from the Web project (this can be done in the properties of the "name.Web" project under "Silverlight Applications") and added it again. Then I performed a clean of the solution and a rebuild. After that everthing worked fine...
I have an application that I am upgrading from the .NET 3.5 to the .NET 4.0 framework. It uses a COM library which is referenced. It works no problem in 3.5 but after converting to 4.0 I have issues getting the COM to work. The COM is from a 3rd party so we didn't develop it ourselves.
I get the following COM error (generic COM error, not specific to the COM object itself): hr = 0x8007000b
CLR gives me: 'The invocation of the constructor on type 'Skype_Business_Launcher.Main' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception.' Line number '3' and line position '5'.
And the C# logs:

LOG: Attempting download of new URL file:///bin/Debug/Interop.SKYPE4COMLib.DLL.

I removed the pathname for security reasons but I have checked all the path information and it's all correct. Also the COM library file exists where it's pointing to. It's also copied to the OBJ folder within the project as well.
Originally I was getting an error about the COM library not supporting embedded types so I made "Embed Interop Types" false (it was true below) and the error went away but I'm not sure if thats connected to this error or not so I thought I'd mention it just in case.
Again, it works just fine with 3.5.
Thanks,
A shot in the dark: it looks like you are using the x64 version of the framework. Was that already the case with 3.5 ? And is the COM server a DLL or an EXE ?
If the COM server is a DLL, there needs to be a "bitness" match between the DLL and your program.
when you convert your project to 4.0 the IDE can perform a issue to convert COM library into 4.0.
when you convert your project to 4.0 remove com library then Re include it in your project then i thing it should be works.
