Ignore Symfony routing, serve a folder instead - apache

I have a Symfony 4 project, it is nothing special but inside public/blog I have a Wordpress project and I would like to serve that folder instead of being processed by Symfony's routing system when I go to "mydomain/blog".
I have this in my .htaccess it is the default config generated by symfony (I think)

I don't undestard how to properly configure this file but I read something about placing this to serve a folder if it exists but still not working, it still being catched by Symfony's routing so I get a 404 error instead

This feels like a bit of a non-answer, but... you shouldn't actually need to do anything special if WordPress (in the /blog subdirectory) is correctly configured.
You should already have an additional .htaccess file in the /blog subdirectory, containing mod_rewrite directives, that handles the URL-routing for WordPress.
For example, the /blog/.htaccess file should contain something like:

If that's the case then any request to /blog/<anything> will already be routed to WordPress. The mod_rewrite directives in the root (Symfony) .htaccess file are overridden entirely. (Unless mod_rewrite inheritance has been enabled in the server config; but that seems unlikely.)
However, it's possible that the /blog/.htaccess file is incorrect and routing requests back to Symfony. For example, if it's written like the following (the default .htaccess file), then any request for /blog/<anything> will be rewritten to /index.php in the document root (ie. Symfony):

You need to either modify this so it looks like the first .htaccess file. Or like the following (which is more the "WordPress way", but essentially does the same thing), for example:

The above does the same as the first .htaccess file, except the subdirectory is (unnecessarily) hardcoded. If you let WordPress modify the .htaccess file then I believe it updates it like this.
You also need to make sure that the WordPress WP_SITEURL (Site URL) and WP_HOME (Home URL) settings are correctly configured (either in the Dashboard or wp-config.php file) to serve files from the /blog subdirectory and for /blog to be present in the URL.
Note, however, that other non-mod_rewrite directives in the root .htaccess file will still be inherited from the WordPress installation. Although, looking at your directives, this is probably a good thing. Except... if mod_rewrite is not actually enabled on your system, but I assume you are already using "pretty" URLs? In which case it must be.

Some files result in '403 forbidden' even with correct permissions

I have read permissions in all files and folders for my website. However, selective css style files and other files are not accessible in the website. It results in an error of 403 forbidden when I try to access them.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be a big help. Thank you!

issues in creating 301 redirects in Apache 2.4.3x using htaccess

I have recently upgraded my website from http to https protocol.
I have added the following code to my .htaccess file to redirect all http traffic to https on my website.

Now when i search for articles on my website using google (which were previously indexed by google when the site was using http protocol.) and click on the search results it is redirected to https://www.example.com.

if i click on the http://www.example.com/my-article-1 (or type it in browser bar) it would redirect to https://www.example.com.
I would want to redirect all those http links to https
For eg :
if i click on the http://www.example.com/my-article-1 it should go to https://www.example.com/my-article-1

You have put the HTTP to HTTPS redirect in the wrong place. It needs to go at the top of your .htaccess file, not at the end.
By placing it at the end, the Drupal "front-controller" has already rewritten the request to index.php. The later HTTP to HTTPS redirect then converts this to an external redirect (in the next round of processing) and essentially redirects everything to the document root.
The order of (mod_rewrite) directives in .htaccess is important.
The order of how the statements are posted is important to the functioning of the .htaccess file as pointed out by #MrWhite.
I have changed my htaccess file as shown below to solve the problem.

500 Server Error with DirectoryIndex in .htaccess file

I am hosting my website in a hosting service provider. The website is build on Durpal 7 framework. I am not able to access the website, as it says 500 Internal server error.
I did debugging and found out that the error is solved by following operations-
Replacing Options +FollowSymLinks with Options +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
Disabling DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm

How to resolve DirectoryIndex error? as the website is not displayed properly, I can't see any images/logo etc.

Rewriting URLs with Apache Rewrite Rules

I have searched Google all day for an example to do the following type of rewrite using an .htaccess file, but I've come up with nothing. I've read through "writing" rewrite rules, but I'm not finding this an easy subject to tackle.
Anyway, how would I take the following URL
whatever.com/any/number/or/level/of/directories
and rewrite to to this URL
http://www.whatever.com/any/number/or/level/of/directories?

Drupal Migration Problem

After migrating my Drupal (6.16) installation from shared hosting to Linode VPS (Ubunto 10.04 32 bit). Whenever I click a URL it shows only the homepage. I put ?q=user at the end of the URL to login as an admin. When I logged in it is the same. I couldn't navigate to any URL. It shows only homepage. I forgot to clean Drupal cache before migration. Is it because of this? I couldn't navigate to Administer > Site configuration > Performance to clean cache, nothing works.
By the way .htaccess Rewrite on enabled as shown below.I already migrated .htaccess file to new server. There is a similar stackoverflow question but not valid for my case.

You're on a VPS so you should have console access.
Just install Drush and then launch "drush cache-clear"
