Open Relink dialog via button - vba

I am new to MS Access 2016 and came across a supposedly minor issue but I couldn't figure it out yet.
I'd like to use a button on a form which opens the dialog "Relink Lists to New Site". The relinking will be done manually but opening it should happen by a button-click.
The manual way to open it would be:
right-click on any table
More Options
Relink Lists...
I thought of some vba code or a macro to connect to the button.
Does anyone know if this is actually possible and if yes, any hints?
I'd appreciate any hints.

Since this button can also be found in the ribbon, you can use the idMso to invoke it:
Application.CommandBars.ExecuteMso "AccessRelinkLists"
You can find a listing of all idMso identifiers used in Office 2016 here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=50745. This contains an Excel file for each Office program with a listing of all possible controls and their identifiers.
Note that this button is context-dependent, and if you invoke it in a context where it's unavailable (e.g. an Access database without SharePoint lists) it will error.

Running functions from Excel Add-Ins in vba, is there an easier way than using Run "mySub"?

I'm trying to create my first Excel Add-In for Excel 2010. Most of it is working, it's running from the ribbon buttons, but I'm having trouble addressing the Add-In's subroutines from my workbook's VBA code.
According to this answer on SO, it should be possible to simply use the syntax:
mySub
or
Call mySub
But this causes the error "Sub or Function not defined". I've only managed to run them this way:
Run "mySub"
or
Application.Run("myAddIn.xlam!mySub")
Is there a way to include the Add-In so I can address it the easy way?
The Add-In is already checked in the Tools->Add-Ins list, and has a unique name (CalcFunctions) which is different from its file name (CalculationFunctions.xlam). The Add-In file is on a different disk and I'm working on a server, but I don't expect that that matters.

Turns out I'm just dumb. I only set a reference to the Add-In in the regular Excel window. I assumed that was what people meant by Tools->References->Add-Ins (I use Excel in Dutch and there's no "Tools" menu). Anyway, the solution was setting a reference in that menu in the VBA editor window.
Here's how to add a reference in VBA:
ThisWorkbook.VBProject.References.AddFromFile refPath
With refPath being the full path to the file.
To be able to add references you need to have permission to edit the VBA project. You can enable this in excel settings->trust center->macro settings. If you're on a company pc it's likely the administrator has to set these settings for you.

Creating PowerPoint Add-Ins from VBA defined Macros

So I've created a Macro in a PowerPoint Presentation and I would like to make this Macro readily available to someone else. From what I have gathered, the best way to do this is to create an Add-in.
I have come across several articles stating to do the following, but I am still running into problems:
Open a new PowerPoint Presentation
Create a macro using VBA
Exit VBA, and save the Presentation as a .ppam
Under the Developer Tab, click on the "PowerPoint Add-ins" button
Click the "Add New..." option, and browse for your recently created
.ppam file
Click Load
Click Close
Click Add-ins
You should now see your new Add-in
I have done everything mentioned above and can even see the new Add-in when I select PowerPoint Add-Ins. I'm here because I can't find a way to run the new Add-in, and I don't want it to automatically load on startup or to interfere with the presentation by creating a button on the slides. As instead, I would like to allow the user to run this Add-in from the Ribbon.
Thoughts?
First, save as PPTM. THEN save as PPAM. If you only save as PPAM, you won't be able to go back and edit your code later to correct problems.
To launch your add-in from the ribbon, you must include RibbonX code (a type of XML) to your PPAM or PPTM (best to add it to the PPTM ... it'll become part of the PPAM automatically then).

While you can manually unzip PPTM/PPTX/PPAM files and add the RibbonX code using any text editor, it's silly to do so. Instead use this free tool:

VBA when user clicks Send as Attachement

My company has an issue with Outlook when it is triggered to open by Excel that causes Outlook to hang indefinitely when loading (an issue which cannot be easily fixed). We have a few workbooks with custom ribbons where we now check that Outlook is open first before allowing the user to send via email. The problem is that this doesn't account for users that still use the File > Save & Send > Send as Attachment.
I would like to know if anybody knows about a process by which I can add on a routine to the existing button that we could save as an Excel Add In on everyone's Excel that checks first if Outlook is open? I have the Outlook check written so I'm just needing help with finding a way to run it.
Any help is appreciated.
Alternatively you could disable Send as Attachment.

You may consider repurposing the ribbon controls. See Temporarily Repurpose Commands on the Office Fluent Ribbon for more information.
Unfortunately the Backstage UI doesn't allow to repurpose controls from the XML markup. You may consider hiding the built-in UI and rebuilding it fully with custom commands. Thus, you will be able to handle the commands on your own. You can read more about that in the Introduction to the Office 2010 Backstage View for Developers article. Run a 3rd party Excel Add-in from VBA

I want to programatically run a 3rd party Add-in with VBA alone. Im using Excel 2010
Ideally, I'd like to be able to call the functions individually however I don't have any access to the code of the Add-in (it doesn't even appear as a password protected VBA Project it did in Excel 2003).
Hours of Googling has told me this was possible in earlier versions of Excel, either through Application.CommandBars("Add-Ins").Controls("Custom Button").Execute or CommandBars.ExecuteMso("Custom Button") - AFAIK, the latter now only works with in-built functions.
This custom button also appears in the 'Right-Click' menu so could possibly be run with some sort of SendKeys implementation. This is however, clearly far from ideal.
I'm pulling my hair out over this - any help would be greatly appreciated.
Depending on how it has been added to the menu, this may work:
Application.Commandbars("Cell").Controls(Application.Commandbars("Cell").Contro‌​ls.Count).Execute
which simply executes the last control. Also this should work by the control caption:
Application.Commandbars("Cell").Controls("the button caption").Execute

Word VBA Can't Exit Design Mode Error (Word 2003)

I have a Word form that has a bunch of command buttons, form fields, and combo boxes. There is a lot of code associated with the form both in the "ThisDocument" object and another module I added.
If I open the form by double-clicking the document from Windows, it opens and works fine when I enable macros.
However, if I open Word first, and then go to File > Open to open the form, I get an error message "Can't Exit Design Mode because Control cmdInstructions can not be created.
I've seen this error on a few other users' computers also, and it sometimes refers to different controls, not just the cmdInstructions button.
This problem began when we upgraded to Word 2003. Again, if you double-click on the document in Windows to open it, there is no problem. The message only crops up when you have Word already open (with a blank new document).
Has anyone seen this problem before? What do I need to do to my code to avoid this problem?
It may be late, but the answer is to upgrade to Office 2003 Service Pack 3
