A simple call of R.adjust(). Works in Ramda JS playground.
console.log(R.adjust(1, _ => 'X', ['a', 'b', 'c', 'd']));
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/ramda/0.25.0/ramda.min.js"></script>
But, gives error in browser - firefox and chrome:
TypeError: t is not a function ramda.min.js:1:12792

Using "nightwatch": "^1.0.11" and "browserstack-local": "^1.3.4"
I have tried this many ways, but I cannot get the examples in the documentation to run.
I have a simple login page with a page object
module.exports = {
url: function() {
return this.api.launchUrl + '/login';
},
elements: {
email: {
selector: '#user_login_email'
},
password: {
selector: '#user_login_password'
},
button: {
selector: '#login-btn'
}
}
};
I then want to run a test to login into the site (NOTE: The first screenshot is fine)
module.exports = {
before(client) {
client.maximizeWindow();
},
'Login' : function (client) {
var login = client.page.login();
login.navigate();
client.waitForElementPresent('body', 500)
.saveScreenshot('tests_output/login.png');
login.setValue('#email', 'test#user.email')
.setValue('#password', 'Pa55w0rd')
.click('#button');
client.pause(1000)
.saveScreenshot('tests_output/login-complete.png');
},
after(client) {
client.end();
}
};
I get the following errors when trying to run the test through browserstack (with the local URL)
โ login.test
โ Login (5.196s)

I have gotten successful tests to run; just not using the documented examples.
For example, the below code works fine to close a cookie message
client
.waitForElementPresent('.cookie-message__button', 5, true, function(result) {
client.elementIdClick(result.value[0].ELEMENT);
})
.saveScreenshot('tests_output/cookie-closed.png');
But obviously it's really long winded.
Any help for what I'm doing wrong would be awesome.
Using the following as an example for the Nightwatch config: https://github.com/browserstack/nightwatch-browserstack/blob/master/conf/local.conf.js with the local runner and running tests in parallel in 3 browsers: https://github.com/browserstack/nightwatch-browserstack/blob/master/scripts/local.runner.js
TL;DR: Documentation examples don't work with version 1.0.11; but Nightwatch and Browserstack are configured correctly as can get a suite to run (in Travis and locally), just with very long-winded code, which I hacked together.
I have created sample project for page objects model here. Also, sample login test is added using page_objects_path.
The compatibility for latest nightwatch version is also added. The latest version of nightwatch seems to have changes which are in compliant with w3c. So we need to use 'browserName' as capability instead of 'browser'

I am using the blueimp fileupload basic plugin in my project. It all works well in Safari, Firefox, Chrome but there is a problem with Internet Explorer 9 and below:
The start callback gets called and in the network tab of developer tools I see the ajax call being executed. However the file is never being upload (I checked on the server, too) and the call eventually ends up in a 408 request timeout.
Any hints on what could be the reason?
Here are my relevant code parts:
<input class="input-file" id="fileupload" name="files[]" data-url="/app_dev.php/backend/ajax/upload/wish/1850cf918a43d42" type="file">
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery/jquery-1.8.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/uploader/vendor/jquery.ui.widget.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/uploader/jquery.fileupload.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/uploader/jquery.iframe-transport.js"></script>
<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$('#fileupload').fileupload({
dataType: 'json',
dropZone: null,
start: function (e, data){
console.log('start'); //fires in all browsers = fine
},
progress: function (e, data){
console.log('progress'); //fires in Safari, FF, Chrome = fine
},
done: function (e, data) {
console.log('done'); //never getting here in IE cause file doesn't get uploaded.
}
});
</script>
Problem fixed!
There were two issues. One had to do with local network settings.
The other was to implement the correct handling of content type negotiation. See https://github.com/blueimp/jQuery-File-Upload/wiki/Setup for more details.
Just my 5 ยข:
I had a very hard time trying to make it work with pretty links! Following dumps were totally empty!
var_dump($_FILES);
var_dump($_POST);
var_dump($_GET);
So:
$('#fileupload').fileupload({
url: 'http://code.dev/products/postUpload' // <--- remove trailing slash!!!
});
My Problem
I want an interactive datagrid (like Excel/Numbers) within my RoR-app. The data being put in, should update a db-table-record.
Did some research and found a lot of Excel(/CSV) processors for importing and exporting .xls(x) and .csv files. Finally I found a data grid view based on JS, JQuery and html. Here. This is exactly what I need. The only thing is, I can't get it to work within RoR.
What I tried:
Application.html.erb
I checked the file paths with 'Safari Inspector'
<script src="assets/lib/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="assets/dist/jquery.handsontable.full.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" media="screen" href="assets/dist/jquery.handsontable.full.css">

%div#exampleGrid
%script
var myData = [
["", "Kia", "Nissan", "Toyota", "Honda"],
["2008", 10, 11, 12, 13],
["2009", 20, 11, 14, 13],
["2010", 30, 15, 12, 13]
];
$("#exampleGrid").handsontable({
data: myData,
startRows: 5,
startCols: 5,
minSpareCols: 1,
//always keep at least 1 spare row at the right
minSpareRows: 1,
//always keep at least 1 spare row at the bottom,
rowHeaders: true,
colHeaders: true,
contextMenu: true
});โ
I tried the JS also in the Application.js but didn't work either.
I'm using:
Ruby: 1.9.3p194
Rails: 3.2.8
Can someone point me in the right direction / help me out?
I've been trying for hours and just cannot get it to work.
A plain index.html with the same handsontable files did work for me.
Can you please specify what exactly doesn't work and provide an error message? When I copy you code in my test app I get error Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL This happened because in you script there are some strange symbols. I retype this code manually and everything works fine for me. Here are my files(jquery.handsontable.full.js I place is assets/javascripts and jquery.handsontable.full.css I place in assets/stylesheets):
application.js:
//= require jquery
//= require jquery_ujs
//= require jquery.handsontable.full
application.css:
*= require_self
*= require jquery.handsontable.full
in index.html.erb:
<div id="exampleGrid"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var myData = [
["", "Kia", "Nissan", "Toyota", "Honda"],
["2008", 10, 11, 12, 13],
["2009", 20, 11, 14, 13],
["2010", 30, 15, 12, 13]
];
$("#exampleGrid").handsontable({
data: myData,
startRows: 5,
startCols: 5,
minSpareCols: 1,
//always keep at least 1 spare row at the right
minSpareRows: 1,
//always keep at least 1 spare row at the bottom,
rowHeaders: true,
colHeaders: true,
contextMenu: true
});
</script>
I've been looking for something similar at some point and ended up writing my own, as a backbone gem. I am using it in production, but in admin sections only : it's still a little beta...
Just to say : If you're already familiar with backbone and want flexibility, it can be a good start. Not the answer you're looking for but an alternative nevertheless.
I have implemented the google_visualr gem and it works perfectly in development. However when I push to heroku the visualization does not show up. All the javascript is present and there is no error or indication in the app logs.
Here is the javascript that is generated. It's exactly the same as dev. Do i have to do anything additional to get the google visualization to run in heroku environment?
<script type='text/javascript'>
google.load('visualization','1', {packages: ['corechart'], callback: function() {
var data_table = new google.visualization.DataTable();data_table.addColumn('string', 'Status');data_table.addColumn('number', 'Count');data_table.addRow([{v: 'Started Applications'}, {v: 10}]);data_table.addRow([{v: 'Completed Applications'}, {v: 1}]);
var chart = new google.visualization.PieChart(document.getElementById('pie_chart'));
chart.draw(data_table, {width: 360, height: 240, title: 'Applications Status Summary', is3D: true, legend: 'bottom'});
}});
</script>
I found the problem was that my call to the google jsapi was not secure so the browser was blocking the request.
<script src='http://www.google.com/jsapi'></script>
I was able to fix this by requesting the jsapi in secure mode using https
<script src='https://www.google.com/jsapi'></script>
There is nothing additional to be done to get the visualizations to work on Heroku.
The demo site is hosted on Heroku too: http://googlevisualr.herokuapp.com/examples/interactive/pie_chart
Just to check, is this in the head tag, at the top of the page?
<script src='http://www.google.com/jsapi'></script>
