Display UITababrController on leftside in tvOS - objective-c

I am working on tvOS app and the requirement is to display tab bar controls on left side like in Disney+ tvos app. So can display tabbar controls on the left side or do I have to create a custom view to achieve this?
Attached is the Disney+ tvos tabbar images

As far as I know, there is no way to rotate a UITabBarController on its side. However, you could take a UITabView (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uitabbar) and rotate it on its side using Core Animation. To add functionality, set something as the UITabBar's delegate to learn about changes.
As far as an actual code snippet, I typically write in Swift, but I found another Stack Overflow answer with what you're looking for.
How to programmatically rotate image by 90 Degrees in iPhone?
Hope that helps, have a nice day!

swift adding zoom to container view

I have a page view controller embedded inside a container view in order to swipe between images. But now I am trying to add a touch that will make the image go full screen "lightbox" with zoom available and also swipe through the images while in full screen mode.
I can get it to work, and messing around with auto layout seems to be much work consider I have a lot of other stuff in that VC.
So does anyone know a good image slider from github written in swift? - without the need of cocopods.
thanks!
It's easy enough to write one yourself. In full-screen mode, use another UIPageViewController, because it already has the swipe left & right support built in.

Recreating the iPad home screen icon rotation / orientation effect

I am creating a grid of icons in Objective C / Xcode.
Is there anyway to re-create the iPad Home screen, the one filled with a grid of icons for each App you have on your iPad.
What I am most interested in is reproducing the effect on the icons when the device is rotated. On rotation, a new grid icons (which matches the new orientation) swings around to the right orientation, and the icons themselves transform (I'm guessing its an alpha fade from one icon to the other) into the new icon that would appear at that position.
Ive looked at this SO question, and also at this blog. But I am wondering if there is a class (hopefully one developed by Apple, but third party solutions will do) which recreates this effect?
If there isn't such a class, can anyone suggest to me how I would do the icon transformation effect whilst the screen is swinging around to the correct orientation?
iOS 6 offers a class called UICollectionView that handles the creation of these grids for you. The API is fairly similar to that of UITableView and allows you lots of control for customization.
Check out the UICollectionView class reference, as well as this introductory tutorial.

Custom size iPad Split view

Im fairly new to objective C. I am currently trying to implement a split view on the iPad. I would like to have a left side view that can be resized so that it looks more like the side view on the spotify app for the ipad.
I understand UI Split controllers won't work because their width's are fixed.
I understand the other option is to use a View controller with sub views that can resized as required. However, I am not too sure how I should implement each subview with its own navigation controller. Any suggestions how else I can implement the said feature.
The image of the side panel implementation can be found in this link.
You can use Matt Gemmell's MGSplitViewController to accomplish this. It provides a custom split view controller implementation that might let you do what you want.
I would like to recommend, PSStackedView which i have used to create a similar layout as the Spotify iPad app. Took some time to understand it

Zooming in image using scrollview Xcode

I am trying an iPad application using Xcode. I am just a beginner so there are things I don't know how to do. In my app, I have some images showing one by one by scrollview. Now, I want them to zoom in when double tap and zoom out when double tap again. Can anyone tell me how to zoom in and out using the same scrollview which is used to display all the images?
Thanks. :)

iOS App Portrait and Landscape Views

I'm trying to make and iOS app with both portrait and landscape views, but if I open it and change the orientation to Landscape, some buttons got offscreen, after going to IB and reordering the buttons, in Portrait they go off screen.
After googling, I dont have ANY ideia how to 'change' views according to orientation.
Could you guys give me some help?
Ah, also, Apple Support Documents seems pretty useless to me :P
Thanks!
There a method - (void)didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)fromInterfaceOrientation{}
which is useful in such cases.
You should change autosizing properties in IB (they're in the same place where frame size is) or change autoresizingMask properties of your inner views and controls programmatically. This controls what happens to the elements of your screen after it gets resized (for example when the screen is rotating). You can glue your components to left or right or both, top or bottom or both and similar. Play with it, it's pretty powerful and you don't need any code for that if what they can do is enough.
