I have installed the Bootstrap using LibMan in Visual Studio with jQuery, and have added its reference in the _layout.cshtml file, but it is not working—meaning it is still showing content in the default browser style. Can you please help me find the issue?

I am using Phalcon for the 1st time and I would like to migrate the content of an index.php file from my website into the index.volt file (in app/views).
So I tried to use require 'header.php' that I normally use in my index.php in the index.volt, like so:
index.volt
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<!-- The above 3 meta tags *must* come first in the head; any other head content must come *after* these tags -->
<title>Phalcon PHP Framework</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="../../public/css/index.css">
</head>
<?php require 'layouts/header.php' ?>
<body onload="document.body.classList.add('loaded')" id="cool">
<div class="container-fluid" style="height: 400px;">
{{ content() }}
</div>
<!-- jQuery (necessary for Bootstrap's JavaScript plugins) -->
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.1.0/jquery.min.js"></script>
<!-- Latest compiled and minified JavaScript -->
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=AIzaSyA-5rrW4FY43z63mHhwpv7BIZE3bv8Ws_A&libraries=places"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="../../public/js/index.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
But I get this error:
Warning: require(layouts/header.php): failed to open stream: No such
file or directory in
C:\xampp\htdocs\care\cache\c__xampp_htdocs_care_app_views_index.volt.php
on line 14
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required 'layouts/header.php'
(include_path='C:\xampp\php\PEAR') in
C:\xampp\htdocs\care\cache\c__xampp_htdocs_care_app_views_index.volt.php
on line 14
So is there a particular way to include php file with phalcon ?
Thank you
Here's the minimal configuration that I've figured out so far:
<html>
<head>
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="microsoft.png" type="image/png">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="bootstrap-4.0.0-alpha.2/dist/css/bootstrap.css">
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<h1>Hello World!</h1>
<script src="bootstrap-4.0.0-alpha.2/docs/assets/js/vendor/tether.min.js"></script>
<script src="bootstrap-4.0.0-alpha.2/dist/js/bootstrap.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
Q: After the opening body tag, what replaces div class="container"?
Nothing replaces it. Bootstrap 4 still uses containers.
I'm playing around with Polymer 0.4. I'm trying to do a jsonp request using polymer-jsonp component which I've installed using bower.
But it's not working, it looks to me like the polymer-jsonp component is not compatible with Polymer 0.4 and it has been deprecated according to this https://github.com/PolymerLabs/polymer-jsonp/releases/tag/0.3.0
I can see in my network panel that the polymer-jsonp comoponent is being correctly imported but even though it has the "auto" parameter it does not make the request at all. I'm not running it throug any JS code, I'm expecting it to run automatically because of the auto param and to bind it results to the results param value.
May I wait for a compatible version to be released or is there any way to use it or some alternative?
EDIT:
Here is an example:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
<title>Polymer WebApp</title>
<meta name="description" content="">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, minimum-scale=1.0, initial-scale=1.0, user-scalable=yes">

</style>
</head>
<body unresolved>
<template>
<polymer-jsonp url="http://127.0.0.1/abmonitor-server/Ajax.class.php?callback=" auto response="{{ sitelist }}"></polymer-jsonp>
</template>
<core-drawer-panel>
<div id="drawer" drawer>
<sites-menu></sites-menu>
</div>
<div id="main" main>
<header>
<core-toolbar>Toolbar</core-toolbar>
</header>
<site-table></site-table>
</div>
</core-drawer-panel>
<!-- build:js scripts/app.js -->
<script src="scripts/app.js"></script>
<!-- endbuild-->
</body>
</html>
Thank you very much.
The jsonp element really should be updated for core, it's just a nuisance that is hasn't been yet. However, I looked at the code, and I believe the old one should work just fine. It's possible you just have a simple problem in your setup.
I can see in the browser console that it is not being imported.
Make sure you have a <link> tag in your application that imports the element. Probably something like:
<link rel="import" href="bower_components/polymer-jsonp/polymer-jsonp.html>
I created a simple dojomobile app in worklight 6.1. I have the mobile test workbench installed in the same eclipse env as worklight. The code below is the dojo code for the hybrid app's index.html. It is a very basic dojo mobile app using default header information from worklight.
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<title>index</title>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1, user-scalable=no">
<meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="images/favicon.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="images/apple-touch-icon.png">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css">
<script>window.$ = window.jQuery = WLJQ;</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="dojox/mobile/deviceTheme.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" data-dojo-config="isDebug: false, async: true, parseOnLoad: true, mblHideAddressBar: false" src="dojo/dojo.js"></script>
</head>
<body style="display: none;">
<div data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.View" id="view0" data-dojo-props="selected:true">
<div data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.Heading" data-dojo-props="label:'Heading'"></div>
<h2 data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.RoundRectCategory">Category</h2>
<div data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.RoundRect">
<div data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.RoundRectList">
<div data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.ListItem" data-dojo-props="label:'Item'"></div>
<div data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.ListItem" data-dojo-props="label:'Item'"></div>
</div>
</div>
<button data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.Button">Button1</button>
<button data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.Button">Button2</button>
<button data-dojo-type="dojox.mobile.Button">Button3</button>
</div>
<script src="js/initOptions.js"></script>
<script src="js/main.js"></script>
<script src="js/messages.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
The problem when I register the app in the test workbench and record a test on my android device (Samsung s4). The test app does not recognize it is running dojo. The display of the app on the device is missing the header line. The test contents from from the recorded steps say that I clicked on JQuery Button and not dojox.mobile.Button.
Weird thing, when you go to replay the recorded test, the app displays properly (header and other dojo controls), and the script fails because it is looking for JQuery Button. I could go in and edit the script so that it is correct, but that is not what I want to do for every script that I record or rerecord because of app changes.
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong or is this a known problem.
Jquery is added by default into the worklight application. See the script tag with
<script>window.$ = window.jQuery = WLJQ;</script>
in your Html head tag. Remove it and try!
I've written such code in my _Layout.cshtml:
<head>
<link href="#Url.Content("~/Content/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.css")" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
#Styles.Render("~/Content/css")
#Scripts.Render("~/bundles/modernizr")
<script src="#Url.Content("~/Scripts/jquery-1.7.2.min.js")" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="#Url.Content("~/Scripts/jquery.easing.1.3.js")" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="#Url.Content("~/Scripts/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.min.js")" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function () {
//alert("H");
$('#gallery a').fancybox({
});
}); // end ready
</script>
</head>
<body>
<div id="gallery" >
<a href="../../Content/Images/Slide1.JPG" rel="gallery" title="Img1!:)">
<img alt="Dog" height="170" src="../../Content/Images/Slide1_s.JPG" width="200" /></a>
<a href="../../Content/Images/Slide2.JPG" rel="gallery" title="Img2!:)">
<img alt="Cat" height="170" src="../../Content/Images/Slide2_s.JPG" width="200" /></a>
</div>
</body>
I've used above code in simple html file and it works perfectly. However, if I try to put this code in MVC 4, it does not work. Just links of images work and it shows just image without "new pop-up window". I checked a lot of times all addresses of ".js" libraries and putted "alert('Hello from .js')" to check availability from "Scripts" folder of these libraries.
What's the reason of that? How to resolve it?
I just moved "#Scripts.Render("~/bundles/jquery")" and "#RenderSection("scripts", required: false)" from to and it works perfectly!
The whole code is:
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
#Styles.Render("~/Content/css")
#Scripts.Render("~/bundles/modernizr")
#Scripts.Render("~/bundles/jquery")
#RenderSection("scripts", required: false)
<link href="~/Icon.ico" rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" />
</head>
