I've been going through Stackoverflow answers for a while now, but none works. Basically I want to run JavaFX in intellij and created the basic JavaFX project. I'm using JDK/JavaFX 13.0.1. I added it under libraries as well. The path is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-13.0.1\bin\java.exe
But when I try to set the VM-options, I get
Error: Could not find or load main class Files\\Java\\javafx-sdk-13.0.1\\lib
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Files\\Java\\javafx-sdk-13.0.1\\lib
In the VM options I have --module-path %path% --add-modules javafx.controls,javafx.fxml
for %path%, I have tried everything I've seen on stackoverflow:
C:\\Program Files\\Java\\javafx-sdk-13.0.1\\lib
\C:\\Program Files\\Java\\javafx-sdk-13.0.1\\lib\
\C:\Program Files\Java\javafx-sdk-13.0.1\lib\
C:\Program Files\Java\javafx-sdk-13.0.1\lib
same with / instead of \.
What the hell is going on, can someone please help me get it running?
If the path you are referencing in the VM Options contains spaces, it should be surrounded by the double quotes ("):
-module-path "C:\Program Files\Java\javafx-sdk-13.0.1\lib"

I installed gkeep plugin for Neovim (https://github.com/stevearc/gkeep.nvim) and didn't like it. I removed it from my plugins (I use vim-plug) and run :PlugClean after that. But now I can't open neovim without error mentioning that gkeep plugin. How to fix this?
Error detected while processing function remote#define#request:
line 2:
Error invoking '/home/daniil/dotfiles/nvim/plugged/gkeep.nvim/rplugin/python3/gkeep:autocmd:BufEnter:*'
no request handler registered for "/home/daniil/dotfiles/nvim/plugged/gkeep.nvim/rplugin/python3/gkeep:
It's pointing to ~/dotfiles/nvim because I created symbolic link from ~/dotfiles/nvim to ~/.config/nvim.
Also, there is no directory gkeep.nvim inside plugged folder.
UPD: and this is my plugins
It seems that you haven't removed the configuration related to gkeep.nvim. Try to remove all settings related to gkeep.nvim.
Also, when you open neovim, run the command :UpdateRemotePlugins. It should solve your issue.
I'm trying to build my project but I can't.
I get this error:
Error:Cannot run program "C:\tools\jdk8.0.191\bin\java.exe" (in directory "C:\Users\"my user"\AppData\Local\JetBrains\IntelliJIdea2020.1\compile-server"): Malformed argument has embedded quote: -Djava.endorsed.dirs=\"\"
Do anyone know what to do about this? Iøm trying to build in IntelliJ 2020.1
Best Regards
It might be related to more strict command-line processing in JDK on Windows after JDK-8221858 (private) security patch see this comment for details.
Try following workaround: Help -> Edit Custom VM Options action and add the following line at the bottom of the file: -Djdk.lang.Process.allowAmbiguousCommands=true and restart IDE.
I followed the Kotlin tutorial for eclipse here : Getting Started With Eclipse Luna
However, I'm running into this error:
Error: Could not find or load main class _DefaultPackage
Anyone who knows to get around this?
This was a severe bug (KT-10221) in automatic generation of Launch Configuration in plugin version 0.4.0. It was fixed in 0.5.0 so the recommendend way to workaround is to update plugin.
The source of the problem was that the plugin used an old pattern for generating name of the class for main function that had been abandoned by Kotlin compiler.
It's possible to workaround it by editing launch configuration (Eclipse Menu -> Run -> Run Configurations...) by hand and changing Main class field in Java Application group. If the file is named hello.kt with no package directive, as it is described in tutorial, than corrected string should be HelloKt.
If file has name other.kt with package my.tutorial than the Main Class should contain my.tutorial.HelloKt. You can read more about it in the section Package-Level Functions of Calling Kotlin From Java page.
I have been getting the same issue. And after putting the right compiler output path, it got resolved.
Go to Project -> Project Compiler output :
In the text box, fill this:
[Absolute Path]/{Project Name}/out
In my case I was having this problem while trying to run the program using the Application Gradle plugin. The problem was in the mainClassName property using single quotes instead of double ones
This didn't work:
mainClassName = 'demo.HelloWorldKt'
With double quotes, it works:
mainClassName = "demo.HelloWorldKt"
For me it worked after I installed the correct JDK. I first had JDK 11 but the tutorial I did was with JDK 8 so after I installed this and set it in the "installed JREs" options it found the main class without having any "mainClassName" or any other option in the build.gradle file.
For me, it worked in a fresh eclipse workspace. Possibly, the Kotlin eclipse plugin is not playing well with other plugins (in my case, PyDev).
I'm creating a Kotlin Application with JavaFX and I had this issue until I went to:
Run > Run Configurations > Java Application > Common
I unticked "Allocate console" and it fixed the issue.
This is a very annoying problem while generating release build files. Here is the steps I did while building:
Select Project > Export Release Build
Select Signed Native Installer
Import certificate
Click Next.
I always got the following error:
https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-6524012-651585/build_error.png
Platform conversion failed. Process exited with error 5. Output was
"[ErrorEvent type="error" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2
text="Unhandled exception Error: EndUpdateResource: Windows Error #5"
errorID=0]
I have the following setup:
OS: Windows 8.1
System type: 64-bit
Flash Builder Version: 4.6 Premium
Installed FB: FlashBuilder_4_6_LS10.exe
Please help. This is giving me a lot of headaches for a couple of days now.
Additionally, here's the stack trace:

I also suspect this is because of the following settings:
Eclipse.ini
https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-6525217-651726/eclipse.png
...
-startup plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.2.0.v20110502.jar
--launcher_library plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.win32.win32.x86_1.1.100.v20110502.jar
...
Notice that the plugin used is not intended for x64 processors.
#ActionScript3030 is correct, for anyone finding this later on, if you re-link your Library Paths (even if they look correct) this should rectify your issue.
The issue is caused by the links not being able to resolve to their GUID counterparts in your AppData/Local folder. This happens quite commonly when you create a new user profile and try to copy over your old user profiles information.
I already figured this out. I created a virtual machine with windows 7 32bit operating system and I'm happy now :)
If you initially created your project on a different system then try to compile it in another system, the class source and swc paths may not match. These paths could be there but not being implemented in code, so you will not get any run time errors while debugging, but it will give you the error 5 during compilation.
Solution:
Remove the idle paths not directly in use in your code. You can identify them by simply checking the path.
Found the same issue when trying to use Microsoft Essential Security on my Windows 7 x32. When i uinstall it - problem gone. So try to check your firewall settings if stucking the same problem.
Just to add an alternative solution (I'm on an x64 Windows and want to keep build exported for x64), in my case the error popped up when building the project with the AIR SDK defined in the app.xml (an older one, 3.9) and went away when I explicitly used a newer SDK (19).
(Disclaimer: I used the command line adt tool from the SDK to build, not Flash Builder).
A little late, but might possibly help someone.
I had the same error recently with FlashDevelop. Figured out that the my path was too long. When I renamed some long folder and file names, the error disappeared.
Try to disable UAC on Windows 8. Change it to "Never notify". The problem
I am a user of FDT5 and getting this very strange Haxe compiler error when using v2.09 of Haxe and v1.8.2 of NekoVM.
"Uncaught exception - module.c(124) : Builtin not found : fasthash"
Can anyone help me resolve this error as can't compile my FDT5 project, as if I compile it directly in Mac OSX Lion. Terminal it does not report any issues.
Any help would be most appreciated.
You may need to setup the path to your Neko installation
FDT 5.5 ships with Neko, but the path to it is not set by default. Because it's not, you may get errors as you mentioned:
To fix this, go to Preferences>Haxe>Neko VM and point to a Neko installation directory.
Custom Installation Directory
You can point to a custom installation. Perhaps if you used the standalone installer from the Haxe website.
Using FDT's Neko Installation
For windows you can just point to FDT5>haxe>neko-1.8.2-osx
For OSX, because FDT is a self contained package, you can't naviagate to Neko via the OSX GUI. Instead type in this path, or copy and paste the path from where your Haxe location is set and paste it into the Neko location. Then just change the last directory name to the name of the Neko folder: haxe-2.09-osx -> neko-1.8.2-osx.
