reuse of subqueries with different WHERE clause - sql

I want to reuse the subqueries in sub_one, sub_two, sub_all because they are almost identical with the exception of type in SELECT and the WHERE condition.
How can I avoid copy-pasting these subqueries?

Use GROUP BY:

In Postgres, I would further simplify this. You could use FILTER or summing binary values:

SUM( (a_q = 'GOOD')::int ) as a_good,

SUM( (a_q = 'BAD')::int ) as a_bad,

SUM( (z_q = 'GOOD')::int ) as z_good,

I would also dispense with the CTE and just put the logic in the outer query directly, but that is more a matter of style.

You don't even need two CTE's in your case, because you don't reuse the first one. So you can put it into a subquery:

How do I replace null with 0 in SUM CASE WHEN statement?

I am using a CASE WHEN statement and a SUM function. I want to replace all nulls with 0.
I tried adding a 0 at the end of my statement.
This is my current code

Just add an else clause:

You could also use coalesce() but that seems like overkill.

How can i remove an group result sql

I have a SQL query but it gives me more results that I want. For example when I run the query I will get 20 results from 2 products. Each product has a group by and the group by of the g.linkedline must be ignored and not shown in the results.

I'd try it like this, you can use the window function row_number to force a ranking. If you are interested in only 1 thing per unique item code or where house, the nyou substitute the thing of interest in the Partition by clause and then specify what you want to order on in the order by clause. For example in the query below the item of interest is the ItemCode and we are ordering on the warehouse and aantal desc (which I'm assuming you want to see items with more aantal than less, but you can remove desc if you that suits your needs.

This returns results first Voorraad 0 and with the script of DwightReynoldson it returns 1080
I found the problem. thank you all!
There was a desc to the Voorraad thats is why the result wasn't correct.

SUM 3 different "CASE" columns with three different totals

The multi-part identifier could not be bound sql error

I have taken over the support of an Excel 2010 macro and need to change the sort order of a recordset.
The query below worked before I attempted to change the order by adding rl.list_order.

In your first OPENQUERY statement, I don't see rl.list_order as a field being returned. If that's a column you're trying to ORDER BY, I think you should be able to add rl.list_order to your SELECT list within that statement which you alias as rcd.
Since that's within a nested sub-query, you'll want to elevate it to each of the calling queries. I think it's something like this... Try it out and post back with any errors.

You're right CSharp821 there's an awful lot going on there. I made the changes you suggested and it now works!
You are trying to access alias rl, however the rl alias is only visible within the OPENQUERY which has an alias of rcd. Try order by rcd.list_order instead of rl.list_order

The quick and dirty approach is to wrap the entire query and group by, this would prevent duplicate values in your 3,4,5, 6th columns.
The cleaner approach would be to take those 4 columns and wrap each one in a Select SUM(...) as you did for the later columns.
In short, no GROUP BY will leave you with duplicates - I took the liberty of giving you the syntax for the quick and dirty approach, see below.
