HttpRequestException when using HttpClient on Dotnet Core on Raspbian - ssl

The whole program is running on .Net Core 2.2, and perfectly running on Windows.
What I already tried was googling around for some similar problems, and someone proposed running this command:
sudo update-ca-certificates --fresh
as well as doing this:
export SSL_CERT_FILE=/etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
export SSL_CERT_DIR=/dev/null
However, none of these fixed anything.
So, what can I try to fix this?

This looks like https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/issues/33179.
Try the fix mentioned in the issue of setting the environment variable CLR_OPENSSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=1.1.

Active Directory Interactive authentication in ASP.NET Core Razor Pages Web App not working when deployed to Azure App Service

I have a web-app that is used to interact with an azure SQL database. It is working as intended, however when I change from using an SQL user/pass in the connection string to using Active Directory Interactive, I get an error when the web-app should be prompting to log in.
Please note this only occurs when the app is published as an Azure App Service, locally it works as intended.
I'm inexperienced so I'm having a hard time making sense of the error.
Below is my connection string.
"Connection1": "Server=xxx.database.windows.net; Initial Catalog=xxx; Authentication=Active Directory Interactive;Encrypt=True;TrustServerCertificate=False;Connection Timeout=30;"
And this is the error I receive when the user uses the connection string when loading a new page in development mode.
I'm honestly pretty overwhelmed with this. It seems like some sort of machine configuration issue and I don't know where to start.
Any advice appreciated! Stack below:

I ended up getting things to work. In your appsettings for your deployed connection string set it to
Authentication=Active Directory Managed Identity;User Id='your azure object/principal id'
make sure the userid is the azure object/principal id and not the azure client id
I made a helper so I don't have to set the userId in the connection string directly but it gets picked up as an environment variable when deployed to azure. You can get your connection string from configuration, in my case I have a tenant service to get the connection string since my site is multi tenant
public static SqlConnection Create(ITenantService tenantService, IConfiguration configuration)
{
var tenantConnectionString = tenantService.GetConnectionString();
var connectionStringBuilder = new SqlConnectionStringBuilder(tenantConnectionString);
if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(connectionStringBuilder.UserID))
{
var clientId = configuration.GetValue<string>("AZURE_OBJECT_ID");
if (clientId != null) connectionStringBuilder.UserID = clientId;
}
return new SqlConnection(connectionStringBuilder.ConnectionString);
}
then just use in your startup
optionsBuilder.UseSqlServer(MyUtility.Create(TenantService, Configuration));

.Net Core Web API unable to validate requests with IdentityServer after converting from http to https

I have a IdentityServer 3 application which takes care of authentication/authorization and token validation.
We have a .net core 3.0 web api, which handles user and role management features through requests coming from angular js app on front end. It was all working fine in http world. Once we started using self-signed certificate and turned all these application (IdentityServer3, .Net Core app(which talks with IdentityServer for user identity related and token validation related things) and angular js) to HTTPS on IIS. We started seeing an issue, with identityserver3 helping the user authentication but later on when the UI (angular app) tries to send a GET request to .net core app, which usually gets logged-in user details is not working, this .net core app talks with IdentityServer for every web api request to validate the token, it gives 404 error. Below is the error from logs.

I got this error when I acessed the URL: https://[yourserver]/.well-known/openid-configuration to fetch the OpenId configurations.
Check if your https certificates are valids.
Check if your https certificate are trusted by your API server (if it's a self-signed certificate - use a custom CA to generate and trust this CA into your API server)
Check, using CURL, if the traffic between your container/server and Identity server is allowed. In my case I got a situation where CentOS firewall was blocking the traffic between my containers to my public interface. I solved creating appropriate firewall rules to this traffic.
The best way to test is: Try to use the command line tool: "curl" to fetch the HTTPS identity server url from your API Server or container. You can't get any error (certificate, certificate server name).

Dotnet Firebase Cloud Messaging blocked by firewall

I have an issue running an .NET Core worker service on an On-Premise environment, that blocks by default all outgoing request. I have no idea which URLs need to opened up in the firewall so get the notifications going. The only error message I get is not helping.

I had a look into the google-api-dotnet package but it seems like they are using their own logging system, which does not show up in our log files.
Any one has an idea how to get further information on what host gets blocked here?
You will likely have to open up:

RavenDb Let's encrypt certificate setup failed on Azure

I have installed RavenDb on Ubuntu system (on Azure cloud) using Docker and trying to use LetsEncrypt wizard to generate the certificate.
My ravendb installation is successful and this is the port setup

Connection Close is usually a security issue. So you could not authenticate with the server hence connection is closed.
First you need to look at the server to find out what is happening. The error will be more readable at the server.
Second, share your binding so we can help more
You need to enable (for debugging) errors to be passed to the client. That needs to be set on the server.
