How to create Own Access Token validated by Auth0 in .net core - asp.net-core

I have an existing system and want to utilize Auth0(still considering).
Context:
I have my own login screen, which is quite dynamic(white labeled) per client. So I dont want to use Auth0 login screen.
I have my own user and tenant database, so dont want to use Auth0 user database for now.
So the idea is to validate the user credentials after login on my backend and create access token to return to client side.
I want that access token to be validated by Auth0.
Questions:
1) Probably most important question. Should go with Auth0 or just stick with native jwt's
2) Is there a way I can create a valid access token in my backend which can be validated by Auth0.

That is determined by whether you want to enable the online identity provider's features like Single Sign-On . If not , just keep using the current one since you don't need the Auth0 user database .

Since your scenario is collect username and password in front-end application , and pass to backend .net application to validate credential and create token . You can implement the Resource Owner Password Grant in Auth0 to create access token for accessing resource which protected by Auth0, but as document shows :
You should use this flow only if the following apply:
The application is absolutely trusted with the user's credentials. For Single-Page Apps and Native/Mobile Apps, we recommend using web flows instead.
Using a redirect-based flow is not possible. If this is not the case and redirects are possible in your application, you should use the Authorization Code Flow instead.
So that it's not recommended in your scenario . If you need the features like SSO and want to use Auth0 , it is recommended to directly use Auth0 in vue application to manage your users and roles :

After login with Auth0 , you can map the user to local database user for specific management if needed .
Another way is using Client Credential flow . For this scenario, typical authentication schemes like username + password or social logins don't make sense. Instead, M2M apps use the Client Credentials Flow , your backend app will authenticates and authorizes the app rather than a user. It's not suitable if you want to acquire access token for specific user to access protected resource .

integrate Google oauth with my existing jwt authentication system

I have a nextjs application that uses anormal (email/ password) authentication to my backend, if user successfully register I add him to a User Table and then when logged in we send JWT access token that is saved in a cookie in the client side. and whenever user submit a request to the backend we submit the token with it .
I would like to give my user the option to register and login with their google account for simplicity. how can I integrate both ? knowing that even if he uses oauth I need backend to save user and send Accesstoken to front end.
I found this answer I think it provides an excellent solution but it is a bit old . is this is the way I should go , or is there a better pattern.

Vue.js + Django + Login with Microsoft

I have a SaaS application using Vue.JS as frontend and Django Rest Framework as backend. I use JWT tokens for authorizing between frontend and backend.
Now I want to add support for our customers to be able to sign in with their Microsoft accounts. So if the signed in user matches a user in our database, it is logged in to our application.
I've set up Azure B2C and can successfully log in and acquire a token in the Vue.JS application using msal library.
Then I send the token to backend server for verification. I use azure_ad_verify_token to verify the token, but I get an InvalidAuthorizationToken exception.
It seems to be working when the user is added to my organization's AD directory. But I would like to verify the token for any Microsoft user, then match it to users in our database. It would be too much work to manually add our customer's users to our AD directory. If it would be possible to add another organization/domain I guess that would be ok.
There's a lot of documentation regarding this but I always end up in examples for separate applications. Just to clearify flow I try to achieve.

On requests sent to our backend, the token should be verified against Azure Active Directory using authorization class.
If the user's email exists in our database, the request is successful

I'm a junior programmer with authentication so forgive me if my questions seem dumb.
These involve sending a username and password to my api login method and getting back a jwt token (is this an id_token or an access token?). I then send this token with every api request using the Bearer authorization. Some guides (eg microsoft net core docs) have this jwt token include role information.
Is this just a basic form of jwt authentication. Some things i have read about token authentication indicate that when i login i should get an id token which i then exchange for an api access token. These tutorials don't appear to do that - it looks like there is only one token and that it's used for api access and authentication.
Ideally i would like to implement oidc into my vue application but the many guides out there dont seem to address this.
The tutorials are talking about the JWT token based authentication , it will issue a JWT token to declare a user and their access permissions in the application.
When a user tries to log in to the application with their username and password, the server/api side will authenticate the user ,generate the token and send token back to client . Next time client could use token to access the server/API which eliminates the need for the app or system to remember or store the user’s credentials. You can involve user's basic profile information(not sensitive) and some custom claim in that token such as claim related to roles . Both client side and server side should check the specific role if you want to check the authorize part .
Id_token was added to the OIDC specification(OpenID Connect) as an optimization so the application can know the identity of the user, without having to make an additional network requests. It contains user profile information (like the user's name, email, and so forth) , and So if you are using OpenID Connect (Implicit Flow is suitable for SPA) to do the authentication and authorization , you will get id token which identity of the user , and access token which could be used to access the protected resource/API .
You are not using OpenID Connect , so no id token is involved in the scenario .

OAuth 2 authentication for both iframe and api

I'm integrating several web sites/services into my application. I use iframes (or webview for Vue Electron) for UI integration and I also use API to implement cross-communication between those services.
At the moment I have to go through OAuth 2 authentication twice for each service: once as part of natural authentication in iframe and another when I ask the user to give me access to this service (for api reasons).
Is there any way to streamline this process?
The state of the art response would be to modify your application completely.
You should have 1 SPA application and not iframe
This application would authenticate to get OAuth2 token
This application would then call the backend (access multiple backend, or access on api management layer that call backends).
Thing is, with this you can have 2 strategies :
give all permission (scope) at 1st authentication
give the smalled scope possible at 1st authentication, then when needed "reauthenticate" (in fact validate new scope) to get new access token
When an API want to call another API, you have also 3 strategies:
you simply use the same client token the API receive to the service your API call (no human interaction needed)
your API generate a token from a service account (using ROPC authentication scheme) or via a client credential scheme (the access token will be valid but usually not be bind to a real user), (no human interaction needed). (the API will be the client of the 2nd API)
your identity provider have an endpoint to transform access token : Your API can give the client access token, and authorization server will transform this with the client_id of your API. You send this token to 2ndAPI ( token will show subject of your UI application, but client ID will be the 1st API clientId) (no human interaction needed)
Now if you use IFrame with multiple sub-application on the same domain (the domain need to be exactly the same!), it is possible to share the same access token for instance via local storage. (security is not top notch)
You will probably need to authenticate with a bigger scope list sometime but it is your only option. You will simulate a single page application, but issue is that you will have potentially different client_id depending first application you authenticate to.
Edit: Multiple authorization server
From your comment, you have multiple authorization server. One strategy could be to ask user to authenticate, your application can then get an access_token and a refresh_token.
Depending on your authorization server, refresh_token can be used a lot / on a long period of time, so that if you store it somewhere, the next time the user visit your application, your application can silently get an access_token from this refresh token. Your application have then access to remove api without newer interaction from your user.
Of course, this means you have to save this token the most safely you can.
By using OpenID Connect you could combine authentication and authorization in a one step and get both an id_token to logon your user to your app as well as an access_token to access APIs in a single authentication response.

web api 2 client and user two part authentication

I am currently being tasked with writing an RESTful API that we are going to release to our clients. I plan to use Web API 2 with OWIN middleware. The applications that will be accessing this can range anywhere from a Console app with no additional user authentication to full blow web applications that will involve user login and authentication.
One other requirement is that we need not only provide user authentication to control what data we will return, we also need to authenticate that the application accessing our API is allowed by our organization. So this requires us to not only validate the application invoking our API's but also the many users logging in via that application.
The goal is to use a bearer token technology like OAuth 2. I am not very familiar with OAuth 2 but after looking it over I don't see a way to facilitate a two part authentication like this. Ideally we would like to issue a clientId and a clientPassword and they would pass this in along with the userid and userpassword and we would then pass a token back.
Is this something that anyone has tackled before using OAuth2 or is this a job for a custom auth solution?
What you describe sounds like fairly standard Oauth2.0 scenarios so you shouldn't need anything custom.
For the web apps you could use the Resource Owners Password Credentials Grant. Which is a standard flow.
This allows your Oauth client to pass in its client Id and client secret along with a user's Id and password to your Auth Server which can then validate both the user and the client before issuing a token in response.
But I would recommend using the Authorization Code Grant which is probably the best option for web applications and it involves both the client and the user being effectively authenticated.
For you console apps, or any apps which are not user specific, you can use the Client Credentials Grant. This allows the app to authenticate and to get a token without a user.
If you need your API to be aware of the client application, the only flow you can't really use is the Implicit Grant which doesn't authenticate the client.
