I'm trying to install an NPM package called Bulksplash. But I have no idea how to install it. I've tried using several guides on general package installations but they're bit tech savvy and I couldn't understand it.

Using the view command, i.e. running:
npm view bulksplash
via the macOS "Terminal" application reports:
npm ERR! 404 'bulksplash' is not in the npm registry.
Therefore you'll need to install the package from Github directly, as per this answer.
i.e. Run the following command in your "Terminal" application:
npm install git+https://github.com/MehediH/Bulksplash.git

I assume that you have already installed TestCafe by running a single command in your terminal (command-prompt):
npm install -g testcafe
To install the plug-in, you need to execute a similar command in your terminal (in your project folder):
npm install testcafe-vue-selectors
No additional steps are required. Just ensure that Node.js and npm are installed on your computer.
I am using react native and Expo. I am unable to build new app because after I use expo init appName it shows the following error.
Heres the full message:

I tried multiple times to create a blank project, also tried npm install to install failed/not downloaded libraries and continue after failure but it showed another error:
npm ERR! code Z_BUF_ERROR
npm ERR! errno -5
npm ERR! zlib: unexpected end of file
also tried npm cache verify that showed cache is ok Content verified: 3562 (252580364 bytes).
So, How can I solve this issue?
Problems related to npm installation are very common If you do any mistake in early installation, but is avoided. Learn more about npm tree.
Steps worked for me are :
npm cache clean --force
npm cache verify
npm -g uninstall expo-cli --save
npm install expo-cli --global
expo init app-name
cd app-name
npm start
Always run as administrator if working on Windows and in root directory.
The solutions above didn't work for me but if you use 'npm install' in the directory of the app you get a clue that you shuold try 'npm install --force'

You should have all these files folders and files at the start of the project otherwise not all the dependencies have been installed which is why we were getting the problem.folder structure
After you have added --force to npm install you have all the dependencies installed. Now you can run the app with npm start.
Unfortunately, all the solutions described above didn't work on my machine...
Here is my latest solution for this problem...
This worked 100% on my machine...
Use npm i -g expo-cli
This will automatically add the required packages and also remove the unnecessary ones.
Yes, surely, you don't need to uninstall and re-install it again.
Just follow my steps.
And, you can create your expo project using expo init.
I hope my solution will help you out from this annoying problem....
I just did npm install and it worked for me, but I had do that every time I create a new expo project.
I also encountered this problem, and finally found that it was the problem of react native cli，I installed the latest version of react native cli，Expo is back to normal
This Error is regarding to the git account. expos need a git account to setup react native project
If you are using windows you need to install git in your local PC
after that open your Terminal and type this command
git config --global user.name "your_username"
git config --global user.email "your_email_address#example.com"
after that clone any github project to your local computer. it will ask to login to Github
after all these steps try expo init <projectname>
The simple way to settle that error is by using "expo-cli init app-name" instead of "expo init app-name".

I'm using nvm on my Terminal and successfully installed node 10.2.1, which also installed npm 6.1.0. However, when I go to my VS Code editor, it gives me warnings in the integrated terminal for:
npm WARN npm npm does not support Node.js v10.2.1
npm WARN npm You should probably upgrade to a newer version of node as we
npm WARN npm can't make any promises that npm will work with this version.
npm WARN npm Supported releases of Node.js are the latest release of 4,6, 7, 8, 9.
Turns out, it is actually using npm 5.5.1 (npm -v).
I check to see what's up with that and tried to dig further and eventually used: which npm on both integrated terminal and Mac's CLI.
Mac's Terminal shows:
/Users/Aiz/.nvm/versions/node/v10.2.1/bin/npm
VS Code's Terminal shows:
/usr/local/bin/npm. Which is interesting, because if you do which node in this terminal, it results in the appropriate /Users/Aiz/.nvm/versions/node/v10.2.1/bin/node.
I'm not sure how to get my VS Code terminal to point to the appropriate npm install through nvm. Not sure if it helps, but I checked npm get prefix and npm -g bin to find /Users/Aiz/.nvm/versions/node/v10.2.1. The only difference I'm finding is where each terminal is using npm from.
I ended up looking through VS Code issues on GitHub and came across something relevant to NVM and node issues. It fixed my issue since the underlying cause was the same.
Essentially what happened is that I had a global install of node before that I removed prior to using NVM but hadn't removed my global install of npm. This was causing conflicts in VS Code's terminal (not Mac's terminal). In order to fix this, you essentially have to find the symlink for which npm and remove the node_modules and npm associated recursively.

Basically, nvm will check for a .nvmrc and switch or default each time you go to a new directory in shell.
It does have a dependency on zsh.
The fix for me on Ubuntu:
A.) sudo apt-get remove nodejs npm
B.) Removed lines in my .bashrc that added the npm package directory to the path.
C.) Restart VS Code.
I doubt step A is necessary. But B and C certainly are.
I get this error message when I try installing feathers from npm

As Vasan pointed out in the comments, running
npm install -g #feathersjs/cli
from the command prompt on Windows installs a file feathers.cmd in the folder:
%APPDATA%\npm
If this folder is not on your PATH, then feathers will not be recognised as an executable - it appears that the global install doesn't add it to the path automatically.
Editing system environment variables to add this folder to your path should make the feathers cli tools available.
Note that after altering your path you may need to restart your terminal for the updated path to be available.
Its very simple, if you have an earlier version installed, uninstall the old feathers-cli using:
npm uninstall feathers-cli -g
Then install #feathersjs/cli and upgrade a project by the following commands:
npm install #feathersjs/cli -g
cd path/to/project
feathers upgrade
I also faced with the installation issue. But got an error: 404 Not Found: babel-messages#^6.23.0. I've solved it when run npm install #feathersjs/cli -g through the windows terminal (cmd). Before that I was running it on bash.
This issue also occurs when installation is ran using Admin credential(Windows 10), reinstall without elevated cmd/powershell credential also solved the problem.
