I'm game developer and I've pushed game through appstore connect, but first time they rejected my game with message :
Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed
>This type of app has been identified as one that may violate one or >more of the following App Store Review Guidelines. Specifically, these >types of apps often:
>1.1.6 - Include false information, features, or misleading metadata
>2.3.0 - Undergo significant concept changes after approval
>2.3.1 - Have hidden or undocumented features, including hidden >"switches" that redirect to a gambling or lottery website
>3.1.1 - Use payment mechanisms other than in-app purchase to unlock >features or functionality in the app
>3.2.1 - Do not come from the financial institution performing the loan >services
>4.3.0 - Are a duplicate of another app or are conspicuously similar to >another app
>5.2.1 - Were not submitted by the legal entity that owns and is >responsible for offering any services provided by the app
>5.2.3 - Facilitate illegal file sharing or include the ability to >save, convert, or download media from third party sources without >explicit authorization from those sources
>5.3.4 - Do not have the necessary licensing and permissions for all >the locations where the app is used
After that I've re-checked all information I've provided and answered them that everything is okay with application and they changed status of my game to "In Review"
After that they responded :
>
Hello,
>We are unable to continue this app’s review because your Apple >Developer Program account is currently under investigation for not >following the App Store Review Guidelines’ Developer Code of Conduct.
>Common practices that may lead to an investigation include, but are >not limited to:
>• Inaccurately describing an app or service
>• Misleading app content
>• Engaging in inauthentic ratings and reviews manipulation
>• Providing misleading customer support responses
>• Providing misleading responses in Resolution Center
>• Engaging in misleading purchasing or bait-and-switch schemes
>• Engaging in other dishonest or fraudulent activity within or outside >of the app
>During our investigation, we will not review any apps you submit. Once >we have completed our investigation, we will notify you via Resolution >Center.
How long it that investigation taking time?
And
Why they are rejecting my game ?
I've tried to write app store developer program contact us , but they are just answering to wait and nothing more.
My Developer Account they investigating three months already :) And I think it will end with the ending of my enroll. Maybe this is their plan :)
Today, I got same message. I have nearly no hope. My account will be terminated I guess. I transferred my other apps just problem app was staying. Not to lose other apps when account will be terminated. I will edit when I will receive any messages

Joined a company using skype for business. Surprised to find there is no folder hierarchy, import/export contact list. (maybe business is so easy to be ripped off these days). Haven't found an existing tool to interact with skype client to export/import contact. Some tool (http://support.express-desk.com/support/Skype-for-Business-Online-Contact-Manager) need office365 admin permission which I don't have.
Is there open source (ex: lib skpy or #github) to share global team skype hierarchy among teammates?
At first you need to understand that Skype for Business online (hosted by Microsoft in the cloud) isn´t the same as Skype for Business on Premises (selfhosted inside your organization). Most features are identically however some are a little bit different (mostly not seen by the user).
So both solutions use a centralized share to host contacts which only an Administrator can manage. On an on premises environment an Skype for Business Administrator might add an contact to the global Adressbook. However this often results in a kind of garbage as more and more such contacts where created here and they where never cleaned up. So most companies to not perform that and relay on the users to keep there own contacts locally.
The link you mentioned is by the way nothing else as an 3rd party GUI for the so called "Unified Contact Store" (more infos here).
The normal way by the way to import / export contacts is via Outlook. The MS Exchange server is normally connected to the Skype for Business environment and therefore will sync the contacts (if configured correctly as explained here or here). So in theory you could export your contacts and send that over to your team. They all can import them and you can then see those in Skype for Business.
P.S. Please keep noted that the contact list is limited to something around 200 entries (see here). And allows an Administrator to manage that via GUI. However a 3rd party software isn´t really something which is supported by Microsoft, so most companies might not have a look into that to avoid to break something.

iam new on stackoverflow and this is my first question.
Sorry for my typo's or bad gramar, my english is not verry good.
Situation:
Iam doing research for a kind API.
We building an system for sending out messages and alerts to end users. Endusers can recieve the messages and alerts on mobilephones over an app (IOS, Android, Windows), over SMS or .........
For this an backend is in development by another team. This backend contains and user interface for add messages or alerts (notifications). This backend contains ALL the notifications. This backend need to push all actual notifications to an API system witch holds only the actual notifications.
This api need to send out an new alert as an push message to the app. Normal messages are not pushed to end devices.
End devices and 3th party users can be ask data (normal messages or alerts) on from the API (with an filter if they are configured) Example: Give me all the messages from the city Heerlen or all messages that contains the word "car".
When there are new messages or alerts inserted in the backend, the backend updates the api data. When the api recieves an new alert, he send out and new push notification for the new alert.
Update---------------------------------------
This all is necessary because the API and the Backend need to be operate separated from eachother. So when the backend goes offline the api will still work. Otherwise when the api goes down the backend still works.
END Update---------------------------------------
The api is allways online but don't need to handle a lot of requests. At the moment there is an alert, the api needs to send out 2.000.000 notifications so scalablity is an must! After an alert a lot of requests need to be handled.
Now my questions:
- Is there an existing software solution(s) that can be configured or used for my problem?
- Can we better build an own solution for this problem, maybe based on an framework?
- Are there frameworks that can be used for create an api with this functionality?
THANKS A LOT for understand my bad english, problem and trying to help me ;-)
EDIT---------------------------------------
Maybe this image make my situation a bit better understandable
Wished situation image
I think i found some solutions by my self but iam not sure if they can provide my requirements and iam not sure i can use it for my problem.
Amazon API Gateway
tyk.io
WSO2
END EDIT---------------------------------------
I couldn't find an solution so i talked with my teacher at school and he told me that it doesn't matter how i solve this. The only thing i need to do is unlink the api from the back end so the back end stays online when the API is timed-out or goes offline. Otherwise the API needs to stay online when the back end is in maintenance. I have updated my question with this information!
I did a lot of research and i couldn't find an software solution that solves my problem. BUT i have found an other solution that solves my problem.
I create an second backend with an own database. The main backend manages the data in the second backend, the "API_backend". This mini backend only provides data for the API. The API gateway (yes i found that this is the name of the API thing) gets his data from this "API_backend" and provides it on all the end devices.
I have make an diagram of it. visit it
The Alert push problem i solved by sending an push message to the app over google cloud message. In case of an alert the app regonizes that it is an alert in stead of an normal message and then it wil ask the new alert information to the API.

I have to send text message reminder to cell phone of a customer. That should be handled from web application (or automated with windows service). Text message should be sent to Canadian cell phone and provider of that phone is not exactly known beforehand (can be Bell, Telus or anything else).
Is there any reliable API provider for such task? I need a web service that would be integrated with .NET application for doing it and it should be either free or inexpensive. I did Google search on the topic and it seems there some providers out there but it would be really great to hear from somebody who can have real experience with such API provider. My goal is to send about 10000 remainders per month.
I would appreciate if you could advise.
Thanks!
I have had good luck with TextMarks. You pick a keyword that your users send in an SMS message to the TextMarks shortcode number. This confirms that the mobile user has opted in to receive SMS messages from you. You can then send them SMS messages and even create programs that respond to a users input. For example, have the user send a zip code and get a response of stores nearby. They are relatively inexpensive and offer various tiers of pricing, including a free trial option.
I also came across ClickATell which is able to provide you with a unique shortcode. However, last time I checked getting a unique shortcode was in the range of $500 per month plus costs you would incur to send messages. Here's their pricing calculator:
http://www.clickatell.com/pricing/pricing_wizard.php
TextMarks doesn't work in Canada, but we do have a .NET API wrapper that we just released. If you were looking for this for the US, we could help you.

I'm building a web application that needs to send notifications by SMS.
What SMS gateway service providers with API support fulfill the following requirements:
Reliable
Global delivery - I will send globally with no specific region being sent to more than others
Ideally cheap
What are your recommendations? Why?
Clickatell is a popular SMS gateway, which covers 819 networks in over 220 countries.
The API offers a choice of connection options via: HTTP/S, SMPP, SMTP, FTP, XML, SOAP and COM.
To give a few examples, the HTTP method would be as simple as requesting the following URI from your application:
http://api.clickatell.com/http/sendmsg?to=NUMBER&msg=Message+Body+Here
The SMTP method would consist in sending a plain-text email to sms#messaging.clickatell.com, with a body as in the following example:
user: xxxxx
password: xxxxx
api_id: xxxxx
to: NUMBER
text: Message Body Here
The other methods are similarly easy to interface with, in my opinion. You can check out the full details from the Clickatell API Guide.
As for message costs, Clickatell uses a credit based system. 1 credit will generally mean 1 message, but some destinations may charge a bit less (usually 0.8 of a credit) and some may charge more (usually 1.5 or 2). Apparently this depends on the network operators in the particular region. (Source)
1 credit is currently priced at USD 0.03 / EUR 0.022 / GBP 0.02. There is a minimum requirement of 400 credits, so the initial investment can be of just USD 12. (Source)
You may also want to test the gateway for free from your browser: Clickatell: Test SMS Gateway.
We've been using MxTelecom for a few years and are very happy with them.
I've used clickatell (www.clickatell.com) for sending msgs to Europe, US and AsiaPac destinations. Prices are cheap, depending on destination & quantity - there is an online calculator you can use to estimate costs. The API is simple (HTTP REST). They also support two-way, bulk and MMS messaging service, but I have not used these.
I have had trouble getting messages sent to some carriers in Malaysia, but their support team was responsive and this issue was resolved within about 10 days.
I also like the online reporting tools which provides graphs of messages sent / success rates etc over time.
Panacea Mobile offers HTTP, SMPP and SMTP API connectivity. They, too, have global coverage and offer the cheapest rates with such an advanced API. Have a look at this PHP script featured here: bakery.cakephp.org/articles/view/component-to-send-sms-text-messages
You can also view the Panacea Mobile API Guide on the support site - look under the API guides.
You can view their pricing by volume and country on the sms gateway page.
Clickatell is pretty good.
I would suggest looking into OpenMarket for SMS, Premium SMS as well as MMS, they offer several SDK's in a number of languages.
FYI: MX Telecom was purchased by OpenMarket/Amdocs
we've been using iMEZ and no problems so far.
Would suggest http://sms2email.com/site/email2sms.php They provide various features sms, mms, bulk features, ringtone gateway. Pricing comes in credits and different pricing for bulk features. Integration also simple.

I need to programatically pull a list of Hotel names and addresses based on a city and state or zip code. I am looking for a public API that can accommodate real-time searching. I have evaluated Yahoo Local Search, Google Local and Kayak APIs but have found them unusable for the following reasons:
Yahoo Local - Commercial use not allowed
Google Local - Must attribute to Google (ok), cannot intersperse results with other data,
cannot save any of the data
Kayak - Limit to 1000 queries a day
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
I recommend Booking and Expedia APIs.
In my search for hotel APIs I have found only one API giving unrestricted open access to their hotel database and allowing you to book their hotels:
Expedia's EAN http://developer.ean.com/
You need to sign for their affiliate program, which is very easy. You get immediate access to their hotel databases plus you can make availability/booking requests with several response options, including JSON, which is more convenient and lightweight than the (unfortunately) more widespread XML.
As you immediately access their API, you can start developing and testing, but still need their approval to launch the site, basically to make sure it provides the needed quality and security, which is reasonable.
They also offer "deep linking", i.e. you may customize your requests by adding parameters. Then if it sufficient for your purpose (for mine it is not), you don't even need to store their content on your server.
I have also signed for HotelsCombined program: (link removed as this site doesn't seem to let me put more links)
However, they do not immediately allow you to use their API even for testing. From their answer:
"Apologies for the inconvenience caused, but it’s simply a business decision to limit access to our rich hotel content. Please kindly check back within the next 2-3 months, where we will be able to judge your traffic, and in turn judge your status on standard data feeds."
I have also signed for Booking.com affiliate program: (link removed as this site doesn't seem to let me put more links)
Unfortunately, again, they limit access, from their answer: "Please do note that, since there's a high amount of time and cost involved in the XML integration, we are only able to offer the XML integration to a small amount of partners with a high potential."
I did not explore Tripadvisor as they seem only to offer top 10 hotels and only as widgets, but most importantly for me, they wouldn't allow booking through them.
I've checked the hotelbase.org mentioned above, they have very extensive list but not as rich as by Expedia, also they don't seem to have images and don't allow booking either.
Try contacting Orbitz.com's affiliate team, and checking out Booking.com's api (http://xml.booking.com/), both have good API's.
Expedia has a Mashery-built API through EAN (Expedia Affiliate Network)that exposes hotel data and is incredibly easy to sign up for:

Check out api.hotelsbase.org - its a free xml hotel api
