can we use firebase dynamic link for website - firebase-dynamic-links

Can we use Firebase Dynamic Links as own URL shortener for a website? Will it work in mobile devices. If I build Do Follow link in Shortened URL (l.andrimo.com/xyz) is this transfer authority like goo.gl

Firebase Dynamic Links can be used as a URL shortener for web sites. From the blog post announcing the turn down of goo.gl:
Firebase Dynamic Links are smart URLs that allow you to send existing and potential users to any location within an iOS, Android or web app.
Whether Firebase Dynamic Links suits the needs of your use-case, only you can determine.

opening an Instant App by a Firebase Dynamic Link with custom parameters (App Links)

I'm searching for a way to open an Android Instant app in a mobile browser.
The app supports app links (deep linking in http/https).
My Android app is working as an instant app and can be opened by an app link in different apps that are not browsers (Gmail, Whatsapp, etc.).
I have concluded that the only way to be able to have an instant experience in browser apps is by using Firebase Dynamic Links.
The only way it works is by using short Firebase Dynamic Links (without app parameters in the link). I need to be able to build the link manually with parameters, so the app will know it's desired actions.
In order to use Firebase Dynamic Links, I've:
set up all basic requirements in my app for Firebase Dynamic Links.
set up a sub-domain and enabled it in the Firebase console (the Hosting section).
created a long dynamic link manually (described as the only way to send parameters by link).
example:
https://sub.example.com/?link=https://example.com/some-path/file?param1=value1&param2=value2&apn=package.name.com
This long link works (in mobile browsers) only if the app is installed / is in cache.
If the app is not installed, the app's play store page opens and offers to install / try it (as instant app).
I've contacted Firebase support, and got a solution:
Adding the "afl" parameter in the link with the value of the app link.
Example:
https://sub.example.com/?link=https://example.com/some-path/file?param1=value1&param2=value2&apn=package.name.com**&afl=https://example.com/some-path/file?param1=value1&param2=value2**
The Android app links work properly if the user follows the following steps:
Verify that you are logged into Google, Chrome, and Google play with the account you plan to use for the instant apps.
Go into Google Play Store settings, find the tab for Instant Apps and Enable Instant Apps enable Instant Apps
In your website add html to index.html or the equivalent file where you want to place the embedded link such as this:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>
<h2>HTML Links</h2>
<p>HTML links are defined with the a tag:</p>
This is a link to the instant app </body>
</html>
The instant app linking will only work from links embedded within an app such as in gmail or Chrome and not from directly pasting the url in a browser navigation bar.
If you have any questions about this approach, please let me know.

Firebase Dynamic Link Custom Domain Setup URL patterns to whitelist Error

My custom domain https://mysub.mydomain.com is registered to Firebase Hosting correctly and I can create dynamic link with using my custom domain. But 3 warning occurs and IOS dynamic link is not open my IOS App.
If I use google default domain "xxx.page.link" , everything is ok.
The dynamic link has 3 warning(s)
We could not find Android package name 'xxxxx' in your Google project. Learn more.
We could not find bundle ID 'xxxxxxx' in your Google project. Learn more.
There is no configuration to prevent phishing on this domain https://mysub.mydomain.com/example. Setup URL patterns to whitelist in the Firebase Dynamic Links console. Learn more.
Issues about package and bundle should be fixed in firebase console project settings. You need to check that your iOS and android apps listed here have package name and bundle Id.
Last issue warns you about whitelisting your domains so that nobody could create dynamic links for you app passing links to random domains.
To handle it you need to tap on three dots near the add dynamic link button in firebase console and add all you domains (regex accepted) that can be used in your dynamic links.

Firebase Dynamic URL work on offline?

I just integrated Firebase dynamic link. It is not working offline. So, Just i wanted to confirm, is it true firebase dynamic link requires Internet?
It depends. If you want to create a deeplink without shorten the url, you can do it in offline.
If you need to shorten the url then it needs to be online.

How to make reactjs serve static pages for SEO

I have this reactjs webapp - http://52.26.51.120/
It loads a single page and then you can click links to dynamically load other boards on the same page... such as 52.26.51.120/#/b, 52.26.51.120/#/g
Now the thing is, I want each of these to be an individual page, for the purpose of seo. I want you to be able to google "my-site.com g", and you will see the result 52.26.51.120/#/g. This obviously cant work if you are using reactjs and it is all on one page. Google will only render and cache that main page (can it even render that page? does google execute javascript?)
Even more specifically, id want something like my-site.com/g/1234 to load a thread. There could be a thousand threads every day, so im not sure how to handle that.
Are there any solutions to this? to allow react to possibly serve up static pages as html so that they can be cached on google? I am using expressjs and webpack as my server right now, and all the code is executed in jsx files.
Thanks
You can use Prerender.io service. In a nutshell you will need to connect your server app or web server with prerender service and do little setup (see documentation). After that search engines and crawlers will be served with a static (prerendered) content while users will get classic React.js (or any other single page) app.
There is a hosted service with free tier or open source version
I suspect you could do some smart configuration with nginx and it could convert a url of domain/board to a redirection of domain/#/board when detecting the user-agent as a bot instead of a typical user.

Put link to my site to google+ page related to my site via app related to that page

I have the my own application in google api.
and google+page for this application in https://cloud.google.com/console
Is it possible to publish any links to my website by the google-api on google+page wall?
The short answer is no.
While there is a Pages API that supports this functionality, currently publishing sites like HoutSuite have access.
