How can I find out the version of MSYS2 from its bash shell - msys2

I would like to find out which version of MSYS2 is currently running, from within its bash shell.
For example, is there a command, similar to Windows "ver", or or a specific package that denotes the entire MSYS2 installation?
In case it matters, I am using the MSYS subsystem of MSYS2.

MSYS2 is basically just a collection of packages installed on your computer, managed by a package manager, which is itself a package. There is no overall version number. You can find out the versions of all your packages by running:

Installing Rakudo on Android with ARM processor architecture

I am trying to install Rakudo on my Android with armv7l processor architecture using Termux.
I tried compiling from source, but it didn't work. Then someone pointed out the Termux user its-pointless and his package for this, but that package does not work on my phone.
How can I run Raku on my phone while it is offline? I'm open to solutions not using Termux.

Does it have to be on Termux? I have successfully installed Raku on Android via UserLand, using Debian SSH. sudo apt-get install rakudo works.

Missing asn1.h on httpd build from source

i have been trying to build httpd-2.4.43 from source and i included OpenSSL-fips-2.0.16.

Above error message points to missing asn1.h.
I do not know where to find it. Maybe there is a missing procedure on building OpenSSL from source?
I feel i miss something when building OpenSSL from source.

Fixed it. Apprently, when i search for resources, i was finding the asn1.h problem not knowing that rsa.h part which includes asn1.h.
So it was found out that this was due to the *ssl-devel dependencies while building openssl.
So please install the *ssl-devel in your build envionrment
openssl-devel for RHEL/Fedora
libssl-devel for Debian
Then rebuild OpenSSL then httpd
You have to install OpenSSL development package, which is available in standard repositories of all modern Linux distributions.
Install OpenSSL development package on Debian, Ubuntu or their derivatives:
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev
To install OpenSSL development package on Fedora, CentOS or RHEL:
sudo yum install openssl-devel

There is a patch which can be applied against v1.0.2 of ncurses for php to modify it for php 7. Once the patch has been applied, the extension can be built and installed.
Required packages (these are Debian package names):
php-cli
php-pear
php-dev
libncurses5-dev
ncurses-doc
libncursesw5-dev
All following commands assume the user is logged in as root. Packaging commands are specific to Debian. These have been tested under Debian Stretch.
apt-get install php-cli php-pear php-dev libncurses5-dev ncurses-doc libncursesw5-dev
Use pecl to get v1.0.2 of ncurses, and wget to get the patch (as ncurses.patch).

pecl download ncurses
mkdir /root/ncurses

tar -xvzf /root/ncurses-1.0.2.tgz

Rename the ncurses-1.0.2 directory to ncurses-php5 because that is the name which the patch expects, and apply the patch.

Build the ncurses extension. This will build the ncurses.so file in /root/ncurses/ncurses-php5/modules.
cd ncurses-php5

make
Install the ncurses extension. This will place the ncurses.so file in /usr/lib/php/20151012. This location may differ in other distributions.
make install
Make the ncurses.so extension available to php 7. These file locations may differ in other distributions.

I had the same problem and stumbled upon this topic. Soluthions provided here didn't work for me, but I found another solution, whitch is available here: https://github.com/OOPS-ORG-PHP/mod_ncurses
It is patched and ready to compile.
Just sharing with others that will struggle with this as I did.

Install and configure crowd-apache connector on centos 7

I am using CentOS 7, Crowd version is 2.9, Apache Http Server version is 2.4.
Above are the steps to install crowd-apache connector in any unix-like system.
There is no issue till the first 4 steps but from the step 5 I get the following errors respectively to the commands.
So my question is:
Is crowd-apache connector compatible to CentOS 7 or any version of CentOS higher than 6.* with Apache version 2.4?
If compatible then what are the steps to accomplish this?
Or how can I get rid of these errors and successfully build crowd-apache connector in CentOS 7

Apache-Crowd integration with CentOS 7 is not possible right now for the current versions mentioned above.
Apache-Crowd connector (mod_authnz_crowd-2.2.2.tar.gz) is compatible with CentOS 6.* versions.

OpenSSL header does not match current version when compiling

When trying to compile freeRADIUS server 2.2.3, I've gotten the following error message:

Actually, the openSSL version is:

Editing it doesn't solve the issue.

The problem is that often the compiler and linker search paths aren't consistent.
By default (unless modified with -isystem or -I) the GCC search path is:
/usr/local/include
libdir/gcc/target/version/include
/usr/target/include
/usr/include
By default (unless modified with -L) Apple's linker's search path is:
/usr/lib
/usr/local/lib
and by default (at least with 2.23.52.20130913 on Ubuntu 13.04) (unless modified with -L) the GNU linker's search path is:
/usr/local/lib:
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/mesa:

The linker and the compiler may pick up completely different versions of the library's headers and binaries when multiple versions are installed on the system. The compiler may then emit code which is incompatible with the library's ABI, with undefined and usually undesirable behaviour. This is why the check was added.
To ensure consistency you should pass the --with-openssl-includes= and --with-openssl-libraries= flags to the configure script. These directories will then be searched first by the compiler and linker.
./configure --with-openssl-includes=/usr/include --with-openssl-libraries=/usr/lib
will result in the bundled or packaged OpenSSL libraries/headers being used on most systems.
Another option is to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH at configure time, though you'll also need to set this in your init scripts, else the runtime version check (yes, we were thorough) will fail.
In OSX 10.10 (Yosemite), I have to custom install openssl using brew.
$ brew update
$ brew install openssl
$ brew link --force openssl
Verify the version.
$ openssl version
OpenSSL 1.0.2 22 Jan 2015
I can see which library it is linked to.
$ otool -L /usr/local/bin/openssl

In my configure script I can then specify the OpenSSL path.

You should probably check config.log generated by configure (in the same folder): it seems like you have at least 2 or even 3 versions of OpenSSL: 0.9.8r, 0.9.8y and 1.0.1f.
Explanation:
1) OPENSSL_VERSION_NUMBER = 0x0090819f in /usr/include/openssl/opensslv.h means 0.9.8y is installed into /usr;
2) output of command openssl version suggests that you have 1.0.1f somewhere in your PATH, but 1.0.1f defines OPENSSL_VERSION_NUMBER as 0x1000106fL, not 0x0090819f, so it's a different copy from the 1) above.

You may also find an OpenSSL version matrix useful to match version numbers in hex (from opensslv.h) with human-readable version strings.
Just don't forget to add line into /etc/ld.so.conf
/usr/local/ssl/lib
and run ldconfig.
Without this step your libssl uses system lybcrypto instead of yours one.

I was really happy when discovered this :=)
try this
./configure --with-openssl-lib-dir=/usr/local/openssl/lib/ --with-openssl-include-dir=/usr/local/openssl/include/
This fixed it for me...
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev
