Unable to record SAP BPC with loadrunner or fiddler - sap

I have an issue while recording SAP BPC10 accessing with Netweaver with loadrunner 12.55. while recording, the event count is getting increased and I am able to navigate through application (excel sheet) but once the recording is stopped nothing is getting generated. similar issue with fiddler as well, it is not capturing any traffic. please let me know if anyone has faced this issue and how it got resolved. Thanks in advance.
I tried changing proxy settings and also there is no firewall placed in between my machine and server. I have followed sap document as well(https://www.sap.com/documents/2015/08/008b8186-547c-0010-82c7-eda71af511fa.html)

Record Winsock, see if you receive anything. If so, but not using Fiddler or an HTTP Virtual User, then you simply need to record a different protocol or use a different generation path, such as a Citrix/RDP/GUI virtual user to run excel.
Alternate path, grab Wireshark/Ethereal to take a look at the protocols expressed between your Excel add in and the next upstream architectural component for insight into how you should be developing your test code.

RROR – unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and results may not be recorded. Please contact technical support

We are in the process of implementing Success Factors LMS, and trying to play and view SCORM compatible files exported from Adobe Captivate 8 and 9 in Success Factors LMS.
I get the message - 'ERROR – unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and results may not be recorded. Please contact technical support’
I have tried SCORM versions 1.2 v3 and 2004 V2 and V4. We can view the content, however it does not track, show as complete etc.
We are also producing Scorm compliant files using Skillcast and Articulate, but we still hit the same issue, we can view the content after closing the API error window, but still does not track.
Anyone experienced this problem before? Or know of a fix?
Many thanks
Normally this issue comes up when the course is unable to get the SCORM API from the LMS...I have seen a ton of SCORM content running in Success Factors before, so I wonder if the issue is in the setup. Are you seeing any "Access Denied" type errors in the browser element inspector/developer tools? I wonder if the course just can not find/have access to the player window. If the course is launching in a new window, you may want to try launching it in the frameset. I have seen folks get around this issue by making sure the player and sco are in the same window...
If you wanted to rule out the content being the issue, you can always test your content in the SCORM Cloud's free sandbox (https://cloud.scorm.com) to make sure the course is properly asking for the API...
If you have any other questions, we would be happy to help...you can just shoot us an email at support#scorm.com.
Thank you!
Joe
The error occurs because the content is not speaking to the Learning Management System (LMS). The code that runs to initialize the session doesn't happen. There is no return "ping" from the LMS.
You will get this error when you publish in SCORM and run from your desktop, or from a web server that isn't connected to an LMS. If it occurs when you are launching from an LMS it can either mean that the SCORM API isn't configured correctly, or your content server is on a different domain (cross-domain) than your application servers.
To test, you should try launching your content in different browsers. Our system was configured in such a way that Firefox and Chrome read our content to be cross-domain issue, and threw the SCORM API error, but Internet Explorer worked just fine.
In the end, it was determined that our server configuration in tandem with our firewall and security settings read the Content server as cross-domain and we had to redeploy our content servers within the firewall.

View API data with chrome DevTools

I am working on a site that uses the PayPal API. This new site will replace the old site at my job. As of right now, I need to check what data the old site sent to the PayPal API. Is there a way to check what data is being sent to and from a different site or API? It is data that is not typed in by the user, but data that already exists in the database that is being sent to the API.
Any help or advice would be great.
Thank you!
It "depends". On Windows platform you could use:
Fiddler or;
Microsoft Message Analyzer
to inspect traffic i/o (on the client system where either tool is installed). I'm sure other platforms will have similar tools.
Chrome Dev (or any other browser) tool will help with browser based traffic.
IMHO, depending on how "old" the existing system is, it maybe worth looking at the API again to see if any newer features are worth the effort since you're updating things...and seems to me getting paid/payments systems/ops would be something high on the priority list :)

Recording scripts - "page not found" because of single protocol?

I have found a strange issue which I do not completely understand. When I run the LoadRunner with just a single protocol, the browser (when recording starts) is ran but says "page not found" (as if the proxy was not set).
How come? The protocols specify what traffic will be captured but I assumed in just does not record the ones not specified. But why the browser could not find the page in single protocol and could in multiple?
I've found that the single protocol mode (I assume web here) is somewhat erratic and does not work all the time. The workaround is to use the multiple protocol mode, but select only Web (HTTP/HTML). This works much better.
The actual reasons for why this is the case are unknown, but at least give it a try!
As for other issues:
Check that your PROXY settings are correct when you invoke IE for recording. Your issue sounds a little like a proxy issue, but please post more details if none of the above works.
Over 90% of recording issues can be tracked to environment items, specifically do you have the right match up between version of LR and version/manufacturer of your browser plus are you signed in with the proper credentials plus do you have any conflicting software packages loaded, such as antivirus, which could be impacting the recordingf mechansim.
Where to start?
Makes sure you are signed in with Administrative credentials
Disable any antivirus running locally
Validate your browser manufacturer and version with the requirements for your version of LoadRunner

Error Trying to Save from Excel to Sharepoint Library

I am trying to save an Excel 2010 file to a Sahrepoint 2010 document library but keep getting the error:
"You can't open this location using this program. Please try a different location"
Googling this suggests enabling "Desktop Experience" on the server which I have done. All Excel services are activated.
Has anyone come across this and been able to resolve successfully? I am wondering if this is more security related but the security set-up looks fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I think that there are potentially a couple of things that could solve this problem depending on your set-up.
You are right that a lot of internet advice is to enable desktop experience, but if you are not running on the server or if you have already done this then one of the suggestions below could help.
This is only for dev environments however.
If you are running on the server and trying to use your app as admin then configuring IE ESC to turn off enhanced security for Admins should help
If you are running off server and have the issue and do not want to turn off IE ESC (on the server) for users then you need to enable a mechanism to allow auto-logon, either through integrated security (i.e. you are part of the domain), accessing through an anon web-site port on your SharePoint app (set-up anon web access in SharePoint) or set up and store a WebDav link and use that as the open/save URL.
My (unconfirmed) theory is that there is some auto-login going on in the background that hinders a streamlined office integration. Most of the time, SharePoint will be set up with Kerberos (not NTLM) or be in anon mode so enabling desktop experience if running on the server will be the best first step to try.
Hope this helps.
The problem is that the full path to the file is too long.
I had this problem with a PowerPoint presentation. The full path to the file was over 275 characters. When I shortened the file name to bring the full path under 250 characters, I was able to open the file normally.

How can I check PNRP settings programmatically?

I'm trying to build an application with WCF and PNRP, but I've already run in to some problems testing on my local network, relating to the pnrp settings. Now I got this connection working locally with some command line actions to enable pnrp, but now I'm testing a connection with two applications on different networks and they simply can't find eachother and I can't figure out why.
I'd like to know if there's a way to programmatically detect if there's some issue with PNRP or at least find some useful parameters to print out to a log file so I can get the slightest idea of where the problem lies since Information about not finding peers seems to be scarce on the internet and I've tried that suggestions I did find, to no avail.
Try having a look at the System.Net.PeerToPeer namespace as this contains some classes that allow you to programmatically reference PNRP.
