Check if you have installed lib libpq.so.5 running the command:
dconfig -p | grep libpq.so.5
If installed, something similar to this will appear....
libpq.so.5 (libc6,x86-64) => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpq.so.5
Make sure you are not using the flatpak version, I had the same problem with this version, if you are using it, uninstall and download the .deb package and install from there.

No doubt you have already resolved this, but for anyone else this may help I had the same issue on Windows and managed to resolve it by doing the followed.
Open powershell as admin in *\rabbitmq_server-3.8.9\sbin*
Stop the service by running: .\rabbitmq-service.bat stop
Start the service by running: .\rabbitmq-server.bat
If you are on windows then go to Services
Search RabbitMq and Right click
Stop service
Open cmd as administrator
run cd C:\Program Files\RabbitMQ Server\rabbitmq_server-3.8.17\sbin
and then run rabbitmq-server
For me what I did was killing the process of erl from the task manager and then running the command:
rabbitmq-server.bat

Edit: I am using IntelliJ 2017.3 on MacOS El Capitan 10.11.6, Java JRE 1.8.0, and the Bazel version is 0.8.1-homebrew (the plugin version is 2017.11.20.0.4). I get this error when I try to setup a new Java project (an Hello World with only one class and one BUILD file containing a java_binary similar to this tutorial), and it appears when I click on the Bazel sync button.
The output in the Bazel console is:
Syncing project: Sync (incremental)...

Running Bazel info...
Command: info --tool_tag=ijwb:IDEA:community --curses=no --color=no --experimental_ui=no --progress_in_terminal_title=no --

Does anybody have an idea about what is it and/or how to fix it? Thanks!
I found my answer, thanks to this post.
In IntelliJ > Settings > Other Settings > Bazel Settings, the field "Bazel binary location" was empty. For my case, I entered /usr/local/bin/bazel and now it works!

ERROR 1066: Unable to open iterator for alias

I am getting an error Unable to open iterator for alias for a simple LOAD and DUMP operation with Pig. I already took a look at the answers at:
ERROR 1066: Unable to open iterator for alias - Pig
But they don't help me.
My environment:
OS: Windows 7
Pig version: 0.13.0
Mode: Local
It shows in the error that the exception is 'Caused by' a failure to change
permission of a file in the TMP directory. But when I checked the TMP directory, there's no such file (probably it got deleted after the command is finished?).

Pig file contents:
a = LOAD 's.csv' AS (NAME:chararray,COUNTRY:chararray,YEAR:int,SPORT:chararray,GOLD:int,SILVER:int,BRONZE:int,TOTAL:int);
DUMP a;
Contents of s.csv:

Leisel Jones Australia 2000 Swimming 0 2 0 2
Is there anything wrong in the syntax of the LOAD statement?
Are there any environment variables that need to be set specifically other
than JAVA and JAVA_HOME?
first check your hadoop permission status if its root change it too user.
$sudo chown -R testuser:testuser /(path of hadoop folder)
permission problem will be solve.
I hope this will work
Generally we will get this error as "ERROR org.apache.pig.tools.grunt.Grunt - ERROR 1066: Unable to open iterator for alias" due to incorrect path or not able to access the file path.
check the file location is correct or not.
check are you able to access the file.
I got this issue with hadoop namenode safemode is on.
So I did below command to OFF safemode:
sudo -u hdfs hadoop dfsadmin -safemode leave
Then it works for me.
