How to get the version 2 linkdein api scopes? - api

I have made a linkedin extension for a business collaboration tool last year.Now I came to know that new version of linkedin api has been released.My extension is only using the basic scopes which are given default in the app creation page.I also noticed those scopes are still there at the app creation page and no new scopes are added.So will my extension still work with these basic scopes and code still.I tried to change them but I could see only those basic scopes in app page.If I mention new scopes in authentication request I am getting an error your app is not authenticated with this scope.So please someone clarify me how long will I am be able to use these basic scopes without migrating to version 2.Will version 1 api remain in use (even though not maintained) ?If I have to migrate how can I configure new scopes? If I try to create an app in linkedin developer,I am given only the basic scopes list that are in version 1 and new scopes added like the changed scope for share api is not showing up.If I try to add it directly on authentication request it is giving error response.Any help?
Note : I have used only the basic api scopes that doesn't require linkdein partnership program application.
I tried checking if I create a new app the version 2 scopes being listed or not.

Check this :
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/linkedin/consumer/integrations/self-serve/migration-faq?context=linkedin/consumer/context
Basic is :
r_liteprofile (replaces r_basicprofile)
r_emailaddress
w_member_social (replaces w_share)
you can use V1 scope till : March 1, 2019

Steps to use the Directus CMS API

I just installed Directus, but I have to create the HTML interface, and I can't extract the data via the API. How can I use the static API? That is, with some kind of static token (the front will do it with PHP).
I have the Directus suite (APP + API https://github.com/directus/directus) installed and the HTML will be hosted on the same server.
Directus has built-in static tokens that can be assigned to any Directus User, and inherits that user's permissions. You can set this static token in directus_users.token (plaintext), and then use it to authenticate to the API. This is less secure than the other auth methods, but that depends on how you use it.
https://docs.directus.io/api/reference.html#tokens
The other option would be to set the data you need to "public". Obviously that only works if that data is public (READ)... but that is the case for many websites.
Thanks RANGER, I have the following installation:
URL:
https://cms.domain.com/public/ (APP + API Directus)
I have reviewed the column of the table you comment, and there is indeed a token already established:
BGJFwQ1KlHnH91V2oIwMbOsG
$contents = file_get_contents('https://cms.domain.com/public/_/collections/categories?access_token=BGJFwQ1KlHnH91V2oIwMbOsG');
var_dump($contents);
But it does not work, I have read the documentation more than 10 times and I have been with the subject for days, I wanted to solve it myself, but I cannot find the error using file_get_contents () or curl in PHP to call the API.
The Directus ADMIN is in:
https://cms.domain.com/public/admin/#/
I have taken the token from the ADMIN user, and therefore I understand that you have all the permissions to use the API. In the example, I wanted to list the "categories" (collection), which have 3 records.
Solved: curl https://cms.domain.com/public/name-of-project/collections?access_token=BGJFwQ1KlHnH91V2oIwMb34343G
Solved: I should use the **project name instead of "_" (default project).**
I am sorry that it is such a basic mistake, but I have come across several people with this problem.

Exact online REST API: POST call not working

I am trying to make a post call in Exact Online REST API. I'm trying to create a SalesInvoiceLine. I can perfectly do a GET call via my browser. I am logged in in Exact Online so I don't need authentication since this should be passed via a cookie. I tried POST via a browser. The browser prompts me to login, when I do nothing happens. I've also tried this in Postman:
I am 100% certain these initials are correct, I can login with them in Exact Online. What am I doing wrong?
If this is not the way, how can I post data to Exact Online? There are not that many concrete examples to find online.
You can't log on to the Exact Online REST API with Basic authentication, the mode you are using now.
The web service uses OAuth as authentication mechanism, meaning you have to acquire a token first. The steps to do so are outlined in the official documentation.
It will need some work on your end to register an app, get the flow up and running. Depending on your business needs, you might be helped with one of the apps for Exact Online by the company I work for.
You need to retrieve the CurrentDivision through GET Request https://{Base Uri}/api/v1/current/Me only from OAuth then you need to assign
CurrentDivision to whatever may be the API call .../api/v1/{CurrentDivision}/../....
Without authorization by Auth 2.0, neither is impossible.
To authorize the ExactOnline API calls you have to do the following:
Register the app in the developer portal. Bear in mind that you have to do a separate registration for French, UK or Dutch version of ExactOnline (this is indeed a pain).
In case you want your application to be used by other accounts than yours, you have to submit the app for validation, this usually takes 2-3 weeks.
EO uses standard OAuth 2.0 schema (very similar to what Google is using with their services). You have to use endpoint GET /api/oauth2/auth for building an authorization link and endpoint POST /api/oauth2/token for obtaining both access and refresh tokens.
Please bear in mind that many Auth 2.0 services are proving long-lasting refresh token. This is not the case of EO. The refresh token is invalidated every time when the access token is requested (endpoint POST /api/oauth2/token). With access token new refresh token is supplied, so make sure you update you refresh token as well.
The access token is placed in HTTP header as "Authorization: Bearer {{ACCESS_TOKEN}}"
In case you want to automate the EO API calls and do not want to code anything on your own, you can try one of the pre-build Exact Online API connectors, created by the company I work for.

Customizing Rally using Rally app builder

Trying to customize Portfolio Item Burnup , got source code from https://github.com/RallyApps/app-catalog/tree/master/src/apps/charts/rpm/burn
Now after compiling using "rally-app-builder build" command and after that running with "rally-app-builder run" command, I am able to run the page. In another tab of chrome, Rally is logged in. the launched page is getting authentication from rally session and able to get some data like searching some PFG/PF etc.
Now problem is after applying some settings and selecting some PF/PFG, its again demands authentication (for rally1.rallydev.com/slm/webservice/v2.0/security/authorize). This authentication is not working with my credential.
I have also generated some api key from rally1.rallydev.com/login/accounts/index.html#/keys ,but, that also not working.
Pls help on this.
Thanks,
Udayan
I'm assuming you use SSO to login? If so, you won't be able to correctly authenticate against that /security/authorize endpoint (which is used for generating a CSRF token when making POST/PUT/DELETE calls against wsapi- GETS are fine).
You were on the right track with the api key. Generate a key and then just add it to the query string of your app url:
http://localhost:1337/App-debug.html?apiKey=83h3lkb4b43302bfvlav
There's also a guide in the App SDK docs that describes this in greater detail: https://help.rallydev.com/apps/2.1/doc/#!/guide/embedding_apps

OneDrive API scopes

I have an application that used SkyDrive API. After SkyDrive was replaced I upgraded my code to use OneDrive API.
Looking my application in the dev page (https://account.live.com/consent/Manage) I could notice that the scopes I used with SkyDrive ("wl.offline_access", "wl.signin", "wl.basic", "wl.skydrive", "wl.skydrive_update") and the scopes I used with OneDrive ("onedrive.readwrite", "onedrive.appfolder", "wl.offline_access") were there.
Everything was working until last month, even with all these scopes. But now I'm not being able to upload files. I'm receiving a Bad Request error (Code 400).
I discovered that adding the ""onedrive.readonly" scope fix the upload but I don't know why. I also know that an application with only the OneDrive scopes ("onedrive.readwrite", "onedrive.appfolder", "wl.offline_access") also works.
Does anybody knows what's going on?
Check if the oAuth token has Files.ReadWrite capability using
http://jwt.calebb.net/.
If not present, when you are logging in the user, give the scope while obtaining code as
files.readwrite.all offline_access

Problems working with Google Calendar Api V3 and PHP

I'm just trying to make a little, simple application (that i already made two years ago in Objective-C with api V1) that presents a screen with time of event and description and a button : "insert event in your calendar".
Every user has, obviously, to configure the application with his google username and password.
The app simplifies some process using the first calendar available.
I had infinite problem trying to do it with javascript (this app will be made in html5), so, looking at docs, I ended up trying to make a back-end on my server in php5 (thought it could be easier...ohohoho).
So, i read docs from here : https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/
What i did :
1)
Get to the Google Developers Console.
Created a project.
I now have this (not real keys):
OAuth 2.0
Client ID 352xxxyy9.apps.googleusercontent.com
Email address 3527xxxy#developer.gserviceaccount.com
Service Account
Client ID 3523xxxyy419-vpfgdfg9u77s0.apps.googleusercontent.com
Email address 35ssss9-zzzzsnhavna78ea0b9gvn6a9u77s0#developer.gserviceaccount.com
Public key fingerprints :ac15ddfxdffrtg5565fgfg545r
2)
I installed Google APIs Client Library for PHP (beta) in my server.
doc says:
Using the Google APIs Client Library for PHP requires that you download the PHP source. In the future, packages will be provided. Refer to the project page for more details.
Run the following commands to download and install the source: svn blaj blah blah.
I copied the entire source in my server. Easy :)
Then..
3) You can now import the classes you will need using the following statements:
require_once "../src/apiClient.php";
require_once "../src/contrib/apiCalendarService.php";
Ok, i'll insert them in my php script !
4)" Configure your app"
You must instantiate a client to make requests to the API. All requests to the Google Calendar API require authorization.
The following code demonstrates how to configure an authorized service object using OAuth 2.0 for native applications. For more information, see Authorize Requests.
To find your project's client ID and client secret, do the following:
Go to the Google Developers Console.
Select a project.
In the sidebar on the left, select APIs & auth. In the displayed list of APIs, make sure the Google Calendar API status is set to ON.
In the sidebar on the left, select Credentials.
Find the lines labeled Client ID and Client secret. Note that there may be a client ID without a client secret, for use with Compute Engine and App Engine; in that case, create a new client ID and client secret by selecting Create New Client ID.
Edit the src/config.php file to put in your developer API information.
global $apiConfig;
$apiConfig = array(
// Site name to show in Google's OAuth authentication screen
'site_name' => 'www.example.org',
// OAuth2 Setting, you can get these keys in Google Developers Console
'oauth2_client_id' => 'YOUR_CLIENT_ID',
'oauth2_client_secret' => 'YOUR_CLIENT_SECRET',
'oauth2_redirect_uri' => 'YOUR_REDIRECT_URL',
// The developer key; you get this from Google Developers Console
'developer_key' => 'YOUR_DEVELOPER_KEY',
...
// Which Authentication, Storage and HTTP IO classes to use.
'authClass' => 'apiOAuth2',
....
// Definition of service specific values like scopes, OAuth token URLs, etc
'services' => array(
'calendar' => array('scope' => 'https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar'),
)
);
But they are DIFFERENT from the key i have, what's wrong ????
What are client secrets ? redirect_url??
Please help.
I think you need to setup a service account access as described here:
https://code.google.com/p/google-api-php-client/wiki/OAuth2#Service_Accounts
I had difficulties to get it work as I made many trial and errors and my cache got filled with non-working token.
If ever you find yourself not able to access the calendar even after following all the steps, try to change this line of code:
$client->setAssertionCredentials(new Google_AssertionCredentials(SERVICE_ACCOUNT_NAME, array('https://www.googleapis.com/auth/prediction'),$key));
to this:
$client->setAssertionCredentials(new Google_AssertionCredentials(SERVICE_ACCOUNT_NAME, array('https://www.googleapis.com/auth/prediction'),$key, 'notasecret','http://oauth.net/grant_type/jwt/1.0/bearer',false,false));
The last false tells AssertionCredential class to not use any cache. I did it once and then it worked with it set to true afterward.
First go here https://console.developers.google.com/project that is where you configure your app...
Click on your project, then on the left side you will see APIs & Auth, click on Credentials. You will need to create your OAuth, and Public API Access keys.
Once you have done that you will then enter those into the appropriate client_id, secret, redirect etc.
The redirect uri is the same page your app is on, its the page the user gets sent back to after authorizing.
I had the same problem.
On this page, when you click on the Create new Client Id, choose Web application and it shoudl give you the client secret key as well.
https://console.developers.google.com/project
Add a project etc.
Hope it helps
